Solid points on the heavy weapons, but you're ignoring they tend to stagger enemies very frequently. Stagger an enemy and you get another free hit from a very high AR weapon. Bloody Glory with a buff like Radiant Weapon allows me to pretty much brute force brawl large knights, sometimes before they can even get a single hit on me. That balances things out quite a bit more than you're implying.
I found this insane radiance sword called “Bloody Glory” and that thing bulldozes EVERYTHING!” The problem is that you have to spend $9K for the Pilgrim’s Perch key (bell room door), the need to run past a gauntlet of traps and enemies to reach the sword, and needing the requirements of 20 strength and 32 radiance to even wield it 😂. I have it at +4 and It’s totally worth the grind and misery!
I cleaned the entire game with it killing all boss in 5-10 hits depending of immune to break or not. With 20 str 70 rad at end game was hitting at 1800 on charge heavy atq
Go full radiance and finish Exacter Dunmire's quest to get his catalyst. At +10 sword +10 catalyst, you will have 700 spellpower and with radiant weapon, your Bloody Glory will obliterate everything. Make sure to put 3 Orimon runes on it.
I’ve been dual-wielding Pieta’s swords and they are completely broken. Pair them with the dual-wielding rune on each sword and the pendant and ring that increase holy damage along with the spell that puts radiance on your weapons results in the most OP setup in the game.
I'd argue that Pieta's sword is the best in the game, purely because of the hallowed triptych pendant, which makes holy damage do bonus damage to an enemies stagger meter, which is WAAAAY better than most people would think it'd be, plus you can use things like a ring that increases holy damage, and have it boost both their melee weapon and spells damage, it's good value.
Try Gregory's with RUQ ruin for posture wrecking and stagger, sends the moth bitch flying in a combo. hell most all non boss go flying. I respected for it mid game using Pieta's before it.
I'm rocking Bloody Gory and Ravager Gregory's, and I one shot practically everything with a power attack. Use the Crafters Rune to nullify like 40 weight, add in holy damage runes or power attack runes, holy damage ring, and holy damage amulet, and use the eye that gives you unlimited poise and only take wither damage during power attack charge ups. Fextra here talking about bleed and poison damage, but that doesn't matter when you one shot practically everything.
I absolutely agree with regards to the weapons list as well as that last point regarding different strength or heavy weapons in this game. When i started the game, i had the Orian Preacher which scales with Strength and Radiance and honestly, in as much as it was effect is as much as i found it rather limiting. Bloodlust and Rosamunds Sword are swords you can basically get through the game with. Infact if you dual wield them, one of them helps regain health when an enemy dies while the other is creating frost build up
Radiance is super op in this game. That spell that casts holy lightning and follows the enemy's around just wrecks everything. There's loads of other rad spells that are ridiculously strong as well, plus pieta's quality sword. If you're going for the umbral ending, it's a good bet to go for a Radiance build for the shockingly strong elianne, the starved secret boss fight cause they turn on ultra piss taking hard mode for that one, she deadass makes all other boss fights in the game seem like the bulwark tutorial boss
One thing you neglected to mention about wither dmage (specifically on the fungus-encrusted pickaxe) is that while you have a dot effect active on an enemy like poison or burn, all wither damage is automatically applied as regular damage as shown in the video. This effect is even more potent when you use umbral eye of the bloody pilgrim which increases light attack damage but converts all light attack damage to wither damage.
I’ve been decimating everything with the Faithful Bludgeon - just straight up SMASHING. The running two-handed R2 is an instant stagger or you pancake the enemy allowing you to follow up with a charged R2 or just a regular one to finish them off. You get this weapon relatively early on and if you’re a strength build it absolutely slaps. The single-handed rolling R1 is super effective at clearing mobs because of its sweeping attack and the running single handed R2 is a jump attack that helps close distance. It also has fire build up which procs pretty quickly. I’m nearing end game and haven’t died to a boss in a while. This thing absolutely chunks their health. I look forward to hearing you sing it’s praises in future strength build videos.
I used Faithful Bludgeon until I found Devotion's Might Great Hammer. I pancaked everything with that beast, try it out, it's like the Bludgeon but does regular damage as well as Holy damage.
I am in love with the Hushed Saint Halberd, the two handed moveset gives it fantastic single target damage, and extremely wide range swings that allow for unique 360 spin to win attacks by combining heavy+light inputs for different spin attacks. In LOTF, polearms actually have excellent reach on them, unlike other souls-games where they only feel about as long as greatswords, you can easily cut through massive amounts of enemies while stacking status at very safe distances, and while not the fastest weapon, 2 handed has a load of stagger and damage at very generous speed. With 150 poison, it procs incredibly fast for dot tactics in 1 or 2 hits, maybe 4 if they resist it, and if you equip the bloodbane ring, applying poison also procs bleed, increasing your already high damage+stagger heavy attacks. I went with a holy druid build (hots and dots), so putting smite on this basically gives you a mid range 360 top of doom with damage type for every occassion even getting >1000 attacks out. Trivialized the skin stealer, below stat softcaps and at +7 upgrade, i was shocked that i melted him in
I found bloodlust recently and finally I was able to use another fire weapon, if it wasn’t for this guide I honestly would not notice and knew how the bleed also works, even by leveling pyro. Now I am using bloodlust and been slashing enemy’s like butter, making the exploration less annoying
Another recommendation for a banger weapon thats also a portable nuke, the Red Hand Longsword. You get it from following Dunmire's questline and handing him artifacts of fallen sentinels and heresy. You can get it from him by mid game and it absolutely slaughters everything with easy, huge base damage with double B+ scaling in strength and agility at +10 so on a quality build it can easily break 800 or even 900 AR which is actually insane. Plus it has one of the best movesets in the game and looks amazing, get this thing ASAP if you like swords!
There are many good weapons in this game. Judge Cleric's Corrupted Sword is one of the best, but also Fallen Lord's Sword, Nahuta Ritual Hammer, Light Reaper's Swords, Rosamund's Sword.....the list goes on.
Personally I played a ton with the fallen lord's sword. So upgrading to the grinning axe was a no-brainer. S scaling and inferno and combustion buildup.
Pieta's is #1 hands down. Available from the start of the game, has reach like a greatsword, builds smite, and is able to trivialize most bosses despite holy resistances. Couple that with holy having access to the best spells in the game (auras are broken; change my mind) and you have recipe for success. It's actually too good and will probably get nerfed because none of the other weapons in the game even come close. Greg's sword is probably the only logical progression into late game build, especially with eye of Loash.
Ravager Gregory's Sword with Holy, Phy. and Whither damage wrecks. I got and respected mid game for it 30 str 30 rad. with eye of Loash. Huge diff. for same level, biggest issue was readjusting to the slower swings and the swing arc. Sends that moth bitch flying with a combo lol. Rad. buff on sword is easily more visible when it drops off, unlike Pieta's. I do miss the swing speed of Pieta's tho. its a play style change for sure, but I have lots of Guts exp. This isn't just late game.
tbh my favourite (everything basically) is Dark Crusader. Best looking armor imo + a cool looking long sword that actually slaps, and if youre doing a pys dmg str build then Paladin Isaac sword is the only weapon u`ll need to beat the game with no issues, and Dark Crusader obviously starts with that weapon. Im doing a str build rn with the long sword and crossbow, kinda like the "Lord of cinder" build but a bit different
Great video. I’m starting to really enjoy playing the game with the newest patch. It’s still buggy but definitely much better. I’m currently using Pieta’s Sword and that’s absolutely my favorite so far. Glad it made the list.
I’m really enjoying ravager Gregory’s sword, it’s true the grand swords aren’t as big of a damage increase from long swords as you’d expect, but they barely take more stamina to swing and their attacks are nearly as fast as long swords with a better move set in my opinion.
They should do more posture and poise damage i started with the dark cursader and its not ditching enough dps one or 2 handed compre to a long sword wich is more versatile
They stagger quite a bit. I was using Pieta's sword, and I still think it's a fantastic weapon, but I moved over to Bloody Glory. It's a brute. The "Grand" weapons do a ton of poise damage that allows you to keep pounding enemies out. Just one extra hit following a stagger is huge damage from one of these giant, high AR weapons. A charged or running heavy attack often flattens enemies to the ground or flings them into the air, setting up easy follow-up hits to finish.
Thank you for highlighting bloody glory. I wish I saw this earlier. I invested in Bloody Glory and noticed it felt lackluster compared to Pieta's and I ended up dropping it and sticking with a heavy armored pally type build.
TBH, I maxed out both Pieta's sword AND the Bloody Gory, and I think the Bloody Glory is better. It truly shines against bosses, which are shredded in a matter of seconds. Combine that with the "Umbral eye of hooded anduli" (which gives you 8 seconds of invulnerability when you transition into the umbral world) and you can litteraly brute force all bosses in the game without even worrying about your health.
@@orakaa The eye that gives you free blocking when you are charging free heavies is better. You charge heavies and the attack against you is blocked for wither damage. Then you get that health back once your charged attack lands. The 8 seconds of invulnerability are "ok" but it can only be used once per fight.
@@orakaa its possible at max it outperforms, but the problem is the speed for me. unless it is hitting like a truck, a fast weapon seems better, but i'll try it.
The Melted Dark Crusader Sword is probably the best weapon for very high level players since it scales with everything. It's basically the short sword version of Rosamund sword.
Bloody Glory duel wielding with Pieta’s Sword using a radiance build is by far the best weapon setup in game! R1+R2 weapon art destroys every enemy in the game also doing major poise damage interrupting and stunning them! There is no other weapon or combo that comes close!
I been dual wielding skin and tooth and iron wayfarers hammer both fully upgraded with three runes absolutely slaps everything. Bosses stand no chance.
I went with a umbral biuld for my first playthough witch and have fell in love with the rosmund sword frostbite wither and physical its just awesome i will say umbral biuods do make the game much more challenging trying to level 2 damage stats and health and endurance all up high but its been alot of fun to i woukd suggest newer souos player to wait for new game plus running through your first playthough leveling 1 damage stat will make the game alot more viable tbh
Judge Cleric’s sword and the Iron Wayfarer’s Hammer are the highest AR weapons in the game. Dual Lightrealer swords are good too. The the Cleric-hammer build I am doing 5K damage per heavy attack.
Big fan of The Grand Sword Bloody Glory. Love buffing it with the radiance spell or laceration blood buff & the barbed wire wrapped around the sword is such a cool Blasphemous-like detail. My favorite weapon in the game & at +10 it absolutely slaps
That was the first weapon I upgraded to max. Probably going to allocate my other chunks to Pieta's sword, Exacter Scripture, and maybe the Righteous Pulveriser grand hammer or another short sword to pair with Pieta's sword.
For extra fashion, carry the Pureblade Shield on your back for mana+stamina regen runes. It matches thematically given how both have thorns around them.

Nice list. I would add Bloody Glory on the list that sword has 300 bleed build up plus it's a great sword so you proc bleed so easily. I am running a Paladin build so I buff it with holy. Even bosses get chunked with it
For anyone who wants an actually OP build and not the same grandsword that every youtuber shows. Duel wield fugus incrusted pickaxe. use the the bloodbane ring and pendant of burden. and then either buff or enchant your weapon with posion.
I agree with bloodlust for #1 i beaten the game dual wield with hallowed praise short sword, On my second playthrough going with pieta's sword and the whisper shield. Bloodlust sword reminds me of Blasphemous blade from elden ring when you heavy attack on bloodlust it heals you on mobs it makes you survive better on game same with blasphemous blade when you use its special attack it heals you
Ravager Gregory’s sword +5. Just focus radiance and strength. Two handed this ultra sword with his heavy attack and the umbral eye of Loash as your primary lamp eyeball. Unstoppable. Like Gatsu from Berserk but the holly version. I’m not in new game plus but have it and it’s a monster. One of the greatest without doubts
Laughs in Ravager Gregory's Sword. That thing can destroy pretty much everything in 1 to 2 hits. Use this sword with the Umbral Eye that makes you take Wither damage instead of real damage while charging and you'll unlock the easy mode for this game.
I noticed that the stats, the scaling and runes defiantly need some adjustments. Everything beyond the short sword category should either scale better, do more poise damage or do more damage in general. Oh and they really need to show the adjustments on the weapons that comes from runes.
Agree on the runes and stagger, would like to see larger weapons do a bit more poise/posture damage to set them apart, with short swords/weapons focused on speedy attacks
Too much short sword for my taste, Bloody Glory is in fact slow but the damage you deal with are insane. You focus your stat on Radiance and let the show go on, lots of damage, bleeding and lot of poise breaking with the right runes you can increase the radiance damage/increase the scaling to maximaze it even more.
Pure strength/vitality build and I've been using the Crimson Rector Sword ever since I got it. 2 handing that for close-in work and using enhanced lump hammer for distance and I'm tearing through everything. I have a bunch of upgrade materials I'm not doing anything with, so I'll probably upgrade the Warwolf sword for a bit of dual-wielding fun, but it's not necessary. For bosses, if I'm feeling tanky, I'll equip the Shield of Whispers. But I prefer to 2-hand the longswords since they don't bounce off walls that way and theres a lot of tight space work in this game.
I feel like the Procelyte sword is a bit better than Crimson sword, simply because it adds burn to the equation, and generally, any weapon that adds a status effect is going to be better than one that doesn't. Crimson probably overtakes it as you level it up just due to better scaling, but realistically, you're never going to bother getting either sword to a high level because once you reach Calrath and get the sword of skin and tooth, it's game over for both those swords. Skin and tooth will just unga bunga through the whole rest of the game.

@@Schmankman91 Pointy metal stick goes in enemy's head. So... yes, you can compare both. It all comes down to preferences. I'm not saying it's the best sword of the game, but including Pieta's sword and not Bloody glory doesn't make sense. I've tried several bosses with both weapons (at +10) and it's not even close. Pieta's sword is (very) good for early-mid game, but it (quickly) becomes outmatched by other options, including Bloody Glory, if you have a radiance build.
Ravager Gregory's Sword turns the entire game into a prance about the meadow if you spec into Strength and Radiance. At 40str/50rad I am easily two shotting most of the elites in the game. Fully upgraded this thing hits for as high as 1100 damage in one charged swing, and pretty much stunlocks most enemies and bosses. An absolute beast of a weapon in both appearance and damage output.
My fav weapon right now is the judge cleric fallen sword....it scale with str dex rad and inf....since I am doing a rad inf build the sword power is at 950+
My favorite weapon has been the Angel's Axe from Forsaken Fen. Grand Axes have a great moveset swapping between 1h and 2h that can quickly cover wide sweeps or forward heavy strikes. I planned to dual wield fast weapons originally but kept coming back to this axe and now Im full Unga Bunga.
Ravager Gregory's Sword is completely OP. At level 10 it has 1100 attack power with an A scaling in Radiance AND Strength. Not to mention physical, holy and wither damage. It's busted.

The dark crusaders starting weapon is so good as well. I almost silly getting the delux versin and starting with this character because i really feel no need to change things up. Its level 4 and going around 260 damage.
Right now I rocking two hallowed Praise's. A Friend of mine gave me his. I like to combine the bleed and the Holy Damage with Poison Imbuement to touch everything solid. But getting further in the Game I think I'll switch to Rosamund's Sword as it compliments my Current build more
I haven't play the game yet, but the Kukajin was on my radar based off Wiki. I want to play blind, but got my melee and range weapon I want to aim for. I may try it by itself anyway because I always dual wield. Thanks
I don't know Fex.. I got bloody glory pretty early because I just sprinted to it and was able to get the stats pretty quick I started as the preacher and it seems to proc the bleed almost instantly if not the first hit definitely the second hit
The crucial omission from his comparison is that "grand" weapons tend to stagger a lot, giving you extra hits with huge AR weapons. I'm using Bloody Glory as well, the first weapon in the game I fully upgraded.
No pure inferno weapons?????? Grinning Axe + Axe of the Flayed dual wielding is one of the best for Inferno. Grinning has 80/80 Burn and Ignite which is super strong but then the damage types from the weapon itself without the status effects are 33:33:33 Physical : Fire : WITHER. So it's fantastic. Axe of the Flayed has Bleed as status effect and just Physical:Fire, but adds nicely to the other while dual wielding - constantly igniting enemies and bosses that can proc bleed can do it a couple of times. Maybe ring for status effects is worth it - maybe it's not. Just try Fallen Lord's Sword is obviously the S tier Inferno, but dual wielding and procing Ignite is more fun to me personally
Sword of Pieta for pure Radiance is INSANE. Short sword speed and moveset with Lomg Sword range!! Plus pure holy damage with high Smite and stacks with Radiant Weapon. 2 hits for smite and not many enemies at all resist Holy. Its busted it doesnt suffer at all even against enemies that use Holy it nukes them
Been using heavy weapons on 1st playthrough and i agree. They're way too clumsy for the dmg they do. Gonna start new save because of that, and not use any grand weapons
Edit: i've uset Angels axe, unga bunga stick, sword of skin and tooth, crimson rectors etc. They still feel underwhelming, especially against proselytes and in umbral where it's easy to get crowded
Bleed is still useful on a very heavy weapon like bloody glory. It increases your damage by a percentage, meaning you're going to get a bigger return on bigger numbers. You may be hitting less, but each of those hits is ripping off a huge chunk of health. Add smite salts on top of that and now you're triggering and getting bonus damage from TWO status effects. Not to mention it has radiant rune slots, so you can put crafters rune on bringing the investment cost for the weapon down to 0
No love for the Guts Greatsword? (Ravager Gregorys Sword) At +10 with 60/60 str/rad the AR is around 1100. And you can buff it further with Radiant Weapon, 3 runes etc 75/75 str/rad gives it 1220 +/-!!
My bf was in co op with me and he randomly got stuck in a camera view of an NPC. He disconnected and his stats were re done and his inferno was set to 0. He lost 100k vigor and character levels as well when it happened. We enjoy the game a lot but it definitely is upsetting to lose progress.

Pretty bummed by the lack of good daggers. I think the real answer is those enhanced throwing hammers lol, they’ve made the game cruise control for me.
I really wanted a duel bloody glory inferno build but I can't get ahold of a second one so I gave in and did a umbral build on the fungal pickaxes and they're great when the poison and bleed proc the enemy melts like butter
That boss you were fightimg with rosamunds sword, i beat in the time you showed that little segment with bloody glory. Not sure why youre sleeping on it so much. Especially with the eye that lets you basically get free charged heavies.
I think it gets glossed over because people don't have enough stays to use it until later on and by then they're stuck on pietas or racager gregorys. Devotions might is absolutely sick if you have it fully upgraded with runes and high str and radiance, ones hots everything just about
Funny enough I see the steam discussions crying over agility builds sucking, yet I’m sitting here dual wielding bloodlust and kukajin my entire playthrough, with mostly agility and enough radiance to cast some buffs, and I absolutely shred through everything lol.
I used a +3 Faithful Bludgeon for that boss and it took me many tries because I was being far too aggressive, but the weapon is good and has ignite buildup on it. Before that boss regular deralium seemed hard to find, after that boss large deralium seems to be the limiting factor.

The running two-handed R2 is an instant stagger or you pancake the enemy allowing you to follow up with a charged R2 or just a regular one to finish them off. You get this weapon relatively early on and if you’re a strength build it absolutely slaps. The single-handed rolling R1 is super effective at clearing mobs because of its sweeping attack and the running single handed R2 is a jump attack that helps close distance. It also has fire build up which procs pretty quickly. I’m nearing end game and haven’t died to a boss in a while. This thing absolutely chunks their health.

I used Faithful Bludgeon until I found Devotion's Might Great Hammer. I pancaked everything with that beast, try it out, it's like the Bludgeon but does regular damage as well as Holy damage.

I am in love with the Hushed Saint Halberd, the two handed moveset gives it fantastic single target damage, and extremely wide range swings that allow for unique 360 spin to win attacks by combining heavy+light inputs for different spin attacks. In LOTF, polearms actually have excellent reach on them, unlike other souls-games where they only feel about as long as greatswords, you can easily cut through massive amounts of enemies while stacking status at very safe distances, and while not the fastest weapon, 2 handed has a load of stagger and damage at very generous speed. With 150 poison, it procs incredibly fast for dot tactics in 1 or 2 hits, maybe 4 if they resist it, and if you equip the bloodbane ring, applying poison also procs bleed, increasing your already high damage+stagger heavy attacks. I went with a holy druid build (hots and dots), so putting smite on this basically gives you a mid range 360 top of doom with damage type for every occassion even getting >1000 attacks out. Trivialized the skin stealer, below stat softcaps and at +7 upgrade, i was shocked that i melted him in
I found bloodlust recently and finally I was able to use another fire weapon, if it wasn’t for this guide I honestly would not notice and knew how the bleed also works, even by leveling pyro. Now I am using bloodlust and been slashing enemy’s like butter, making the exploration less annoying
I can’t believe how strong Rosamunds Sword is. It only gets stronger and stronger after +10, the soft cap ceiling is higher than anything else
Another recommendation for a banger weapon thats also a portable nuke, the Red Hand Longsword. You get it from following Dunmire's questline and handing him artifacts of fallen sentinels and heresy.
You can get it from him by mid game and it absolutely slaughters everything with easy, huge base damage with double B+ scaling in strength and agility at +10 so on a quality build it can easily break 800 or even 900 AR which is actually insane. Plus it has one of the best movesets in the game and looks amazing, get this thing ASAP if you like swords!

There are many good weapons in this game. Judge Cleric's Corrupted Sword is one of the best, but also Fallen Lord's Sword, Nahuta Ritual Hammer, Light Reaper's Swords, Rosamund's Sword.....the list goes on.
Personally I played a ton with the fallen lord's sword. So upgrading to the grinning axe was a no-brainer. S scaling and inferno and combustion buildup.

Pieta's is #1 hands down. Available from the start of the game, has reach like a greatsword, builds smite, and is able to trivialize most bosses despite holy resistances. Couple that with holy having access to the best spells in the game (auras are broken; change my mind) and you have recipe for success. It's actually too good and will probably get nerfed because none of the other weapons in the game even come close. Greg's sword is probably the only logical progression into late game build, especially with eye of Loash.
Ravager Gregory's Sword with Holy, Phy. and Whither damage wrecks. I got and respected mid game for it 30 str 30 rad. with eye of Loash. Huge diff. for same level, biggest issue was readjusting to the slower swings and the swing arc. Sends that moth bitch flying with a combo lol. Rad. buff on sword is easily more visible when it drops off, unlike Pieta's. I do miss the swing speed of Pieta's tho. its a play style change for sure, but I have lots of Guts exp. This isn't just late game.
tbh my favourite (everything basically) is Dark Crusader. Best looking armor imo + a cool looking long sword that actually slaps, and if youre doing a pys dmg str build then Paladin Isaac sword is the only weapon u`ll need to beat the game with no issues, and Dark Crusader obviously starts with that weapon. Im doing a str build rn with the long sword and crossbow, kinda like the "Lord of cinder" build but a bit different

I’m really enjoying ravager Gregory’s sword, it’s true the grand swords aren’t as big of a damage increase from long swords as you’d expect, but they barely take more stamina to swing and their attacks are nearly as fast as long swords with a better move set in my opinion.
They should do more posture and poise damage i started with the dark cursader and its not ditching enough dps one or 2 handed compre to a long sword wich is more versatile

They stagger quite a bit. I was using Pieta's sword, and I still think it's a fantastic weapon, but I moved over to Bloody Glory. It's a brute. The "Grand" weapons do a ton of poise damage that allows you to keep pounding enemies out. Just one extra hit following a stagger is huge damage from one of these giant, high AR weapons. A charged or running heavy attack often flattens enemies to the ground or flings them into the air, setting up easy follow-up hits to finish.

Thank you for highlighting bloody glory. I wish I saw this earlier. I invested in Bloody Glory and noticed it felt lackluster compared to Pieta's and I ended up dropping it and sticking with a heavy armored pally type build.
TBH, I maxed out both Pieta's sword AND the Bloody Gory, and I think the Bloody Glory is better. It truly shines against bosses, which are shredded in a matter of seconds.
Combine that with the "Umbral eye of hooded anduli" (which gives you 8 seconds of invulnerability when you transition into the umbral world) and you can litteraly brute force all bosses in the game without even worrying about your health.
@@orakaa The eye that gives you free blocking when you are charging free heavies is better. You charge heavies and the attack against you is blocked for wither damage. Then you get that health back once your charged attack lands. The 8 seconds of invulnerability are "ok" but it can only be used once per fight.

The Melted Dark Crusader Sword is probably the best weapon for very high level players since it scales with everything. It's basically the short sword version of Rosamund sword.
Melted crusader is a Stat stick....that's the point of it...3 meta runes lol
Bloody Glory duel wielding with Pieta’s Sword using a radiance build is by far the best weapon setup in game!
R1+R2 weapon art destroys every enemy in the game also doing major poise damage interrupting and stunning them! There is no other weapon or combo that comes close!
My fav weapon is Devotion's Might, the huge Holy damage Hammer. Once I get that I usually finish the game with it.
Bloody Glory and Fallen Lord’s Sword are good too.

I been dual wielding skin and tooth and iron wayfarers hammer both fully upgraded with three runes absolutely slaps everything. Bosses stand no chance.

I went with a umbral biuld for my first playthough witch and have fell in love with the rosmund sword frostbite wither and physical its just awesome i will say umbral biuods do make the game much more challenging trying to level 2 damage stats and health and endurance all up high but its been alot of fun to i woukd suggest newer souos player to wait for new game plus running through your first playthough leveling 1 damage stat will make the game alot more viable tbh
Judge Cleric’s sword and the Iron Wayfarer’s Hammer are the highest AR weapons in the game. Dual Lightrealer swords are good too. The the Cleric-hammer build I am doing 5K damage per heavy attack.
Big fan of The Grand Sword Bloody Glory. Love buffing it with the radiance spell or laceration blood buff & the barbed wire wrapped around the sword is such a cool Blasphemous-like detail. My favorite weapon in the game & at +10 it absolutely slaps
That was the first weapon I upgraded to max. Probably going to allocate my other chunks to Pieta's sword, Exacter Scripture, and maybe the Righteous Pulveriser grand hammer or another short sword to pair with Pieta's sword.

For extra fashion, carry the Pureblade Shield on your back for mana+stamina regen runes. It matches thematically given how both have thorns around them.

Nice list. I would add Bloody Glory on the list that sword has 300 bleed build up plus it's a great sword so you proc bleed so easily. I am running a Paladin build so I buff it with holy. Even bosses get chunked with it

For anyone who wants an actually OP build and not the same grandsword that every youtuber shows. Duel wield fugus incrusted pickaxe. use the the bloodbane ring and pendant of burden. and then either buff or enchant your weapon with posion.

I agree with bloodlust for #1 i beaten the game dual wield with hallowed praise short sword, On my second playthrough going with pieta's sword and the whisper shield. Bloodlust sword reminds me of Blasphemous blade from elden ring when you heavy attack on bloodlust it heals you on mobs it makes you survive better on game same with blasphemous blade when you use its special attack it heals you
Ravager Gregory’s sword +5. Just focus radiance and strength. Two handed this ultra sword with his heavy attack and the umbral eye of Loash as your primary lamp eyeball. Unstoppable. Like Gatsu from Berserk but the holly version. I’m not in new game plus but have it and it’s a monster.
One of the greatest without doubts
Laughs in Ravager Gregory's Sword. That thing can destroy pretty much everything in 1 to 2 hits. Use this sword with the Umbral Eye that makes you take Wither damage instead of real damage while charging and you'll unlock the easy mode for this game.
I noticed that the stats, the scaling and runes defiantly need some adjustments. Everything beyond the short sword category should either scale better, do more poise damage or do more damage in general. Oh and they really need to show the adjustments on the weapons that comes from runes.
Agree on the runes and stagger, would like to see larger weapons do a bit more poise/posture damage to set them apart, with short swords/weapons focused on speedy attacks
Too much short sword for my taste, Bloody Glory is in fact slow but the damage you deal with are insane. You focus your stat on Radiance and let the show go on, lots of damage, bleeding and lot of poise breaking with the right runes you can increase the radiance damage/increase the scaling to maximaze it even more.

Pure strength/vitality build and I've been using the Crimson Rector Sword ever since I got it. 2 handing that for close-in work and using enhanced lump hammer for distance and I'm tearing through everything. I have a bunch of upgrade materials I'm not doing anything with, so I'll probably upgrade the Warwolf sword for a bit of dual-wielding fun, but it's not necessary. For bosses, if I'm feeling tanky, I'll equip the Shield of Whispers. But I prefer to 2-hand the longswords since they don't bounce off walls that way and theres a lot of tight space work in this game.

I feel like the Procelyte sword is a bit better than Crimson sword, simply because it adds burn to the equation, and generally, any weapon that adds a status effect is going to be better than one that doesn't. Crimson probably overtakes it as you level it up just due to better scaling, but realistically, you're never going to bother getting either sword to a high level because once you reach Calrath and get the sword of skin and tooth, it's game over for both those swords. Skin and tooth will just unga bunga through the whole rest of the game.

I started the game with Pieta's sword, but I switched over to the Bloody Gory (maxed out both). It truly shines against bosses, which are shredded in a matter of seconds.

@@Schmankman91 Pointy metal stick goes in enemy's head. So... yes, you can compare both. It all comes down to preferences. I'm not saying it's the best sword of the game, but including Pieta's sword and not Bloody glory doesn't make sense. I've tried several bosses with both weapons (at +10) and it's not even close.
Pieta's sword is (very) good for early-mid game, but it (quickly) becomes outmatched by other options, including Bloody Glory, if you have a radiance build.

Ravager Gregory's Sword turns the entire game into a prance about the meadow if you spec into Strength and Radiance. At 40str/50rad I am easily two shotting most of the elites in the game. Fully upgraded this thing hits for as high as 1100 damage in one charged swing, and pretty much stunlocks most enemies and bosses. An absolute beast of a weapon in both appearance and damage output.
i wanted to make it work so bad but the bloody glory is just an upgrade in every way unfortunately
Just upgrade the preacher hammer with pietas and you are good to go.

My favorite weapon has been the Angel's Axe from Forsaken Fen. Grand Axes have a great moveset swapping between 1h and 2h that can quickly cover wide sweeps or forward heavy strikes. I planned to dual wield fast weapons originally but kept coming back to this axe and now Im full Unga Bunga.

Ravager Gregory's Sword is completely OP. At level 10 it has 1100 attack power with an A scaling in Radiance AND Strength. Not to mention physical, holy and wither damage. It's busted.

The dark crusaders starting weapon is so good as well. I almost silly getting the delux versin and starting with this character because i really feel no need to change things up. Its level 4 and going around 260 damage.
The first game made me find my Blacksmith, That 8/10.
Right now I rocking two hallowed Praise's. A Friend of mine gave me his. I like to combine the bleed and the Holy Damage with Poison Imbuement to touch everything solid. But getting further in the Game I think I'll switch to Rosamund's Sword as it compliments my Current build more

I haven't play the game yet, but the Kukajin was on my radar based off Wiki. I want to play blind, but got my melee and range weapon I want to aim for. I may try it by itself anyway because I always dual wield. Thanks

I don't know Fex.. I got bloody glory pretty early because I just sprinted to it and was able to get the stats pretty quick I started as the preacher and it seems to proc the bleed almost instantly if not the first hit definitely the second hit
The crucial omission from his comparison is that "grand" weapons tend to stagger a lot, giving you extra hits with huge AR weapons. I'm using Bloody Glory as well, the first weapon in the game I fully upgraded.

Grinning Axe + Axe of the Flayed dual wielding is one of the best for Inferno. Grinning has 80/80 Burn and Ignite which is super strong but then the damage types from the weapon itself without the status effects are 33:33:33 Physical : Fire : WITHER. So it's fantastic. Axe of the Flayed has Bleed as status effect and just Physical:Fire, but adds nicely to the other while dual wielding - constantly igniting enemies and bosses that can proc bleed can do it a couple of times. Maybe ring for status effects is worth it - maybe it's not. Just try
Fallen Lord's Sword is obviously the S tier Inferno, but dual wielding and procing Ignite is more fun to me personally
Sword of Pieta for pure Radiance is INSANE. Short sword speed and moveset with Lomg Sword range!! Plus pure holy damage with high Smite and stacks with Radiant Weapon. 2 hits for smite and not many enemies at all resist Holy. Its busted it doesnt suffer at all even against enemies that use Holy it nukes them
Been using heavy weapons on 1st playthrough and i agree. They're way too clumsy for the dmg they do. Gonna start new save because of that, and not use any grand weapons
Edit: i've uset Angels axe, unga bunga stick, sword of skin and tooth, crimson rectors etc. They still feel underwhelming, especially against proselytes and in umbral where it's easy to get crowded

Bleed is still useful on a very heavy weapon like bloody glory. It increases your damage by a percentage, meaning you're going to get a bigger return on bigger numbers. You may be hitting less, but each of those hits is ripping off a huge chunk of health. Add smite salts on top of that and now you're triggering and getting bonus damage from TWO status effects. Not to mention it has radiant rune slots, so you can put crafters rune on bringing the investment cost for the weapon down to 0

At +10 with 60/60 str/rad the AR is around 1100. And you can buff it further with Radiant Weapon, 3 runes etc
75/75 str/rad gives it 1220 +/-!!
I've been using the Pale Butcher's Blade since I found it in the Forsaken Fen. Love the extra bit of wither damage that it does.

So slap poison on the bloodletter and wear the ring of infernal devotion and you've got poison, burn, bleed and ignite for the quad assault!
Dual pickaxes on a wither build are insane.

There is currently a bug when playing multiplayer that can reset your stats to base...Spread the word, I just lost 30 hours because of this bullshit.
My bf was in co op with me and he randomly got stuck in a camera view of an NPC. He disconnected and his stats were re done and his inferno was set to 0. He lost 100k vigor and character levels as well when it happened. We enjoy the game a lot but it definitely is upsetting to lose progress.

Yesterday I unlocked the lightreaper daggers with their special weapon ability and the red reapers stand no chance, especially with 5 soulfly attacks

That boss you were fightimg with rosamunds sword, i beat in the time you showed that little segment with bloody glory. Not sure why youre sleeping on it so much. Especially with the eye that lets you basically get free charged heavies.

I think it gets glossed over because people don't have enough stays to use it until later on and by then they're stuck on pietas or racager gregorys. Devotions might is absolutely sick if you have it fully upgraded with runes and high str and radiance, ones hots everything just about
Funny enough I see the steam discussions crying over agility builds sucking, yet I’m sitting here dual wielding bloodlust and kukajin my entire playthrough, with mostly agility and enough radiance to cast some buffs, and I absolutely shred through everything lol.
Thanks for the video as always - Quick question, at what point should i be upgrading my weapons? I'm currently at the Hushed Saint boss.
I used a +3 Faithful Bludgeon for that boss and it took me many tries because I was being far too aggressive, but the weapon is good and has ignite buildup on it. Before that boss regular deralium seemed hard to find, after that boss large deralium seems to be the limiting factor.
