      I don't watch this series but I wanna keep up, is vision and her twins just an alternate reality? Is it just inside her head like she became mentally ill? Then she woke up to reality?(The hex is the application of her reality)

      @@KaKaroTChannel7 There's really a lot to unpack.. There's so so much more going on than just the twins and Vision and whatever. We got new characters that will spin off into their own shows, we got new characters that will cross over into other shows and movies.. The answer to your question is neither of them.. There's something entirely different going on, and the story directly ties into Doctor Strange 2. I could try to give the cliffsnotes version, but even that would be a very long read.. Much better to watch the show itself, especially if you want to keep up with MCU. It's really good, so you will get your time's worth. That's really all I can say about it.

    Can Wanda uses her hex to ressurects her family again, builds a city and creates its citizens in an unpopulated area that far from cities? Maybe that way, she can creates a new reality more safely, no one would interfere, and no one would be trapped inside her hex anymore.

    • @jradjj2988
      @jradjj2988 3 ปีที่แล้ว +405

      That would take an immense amount of power and focus. Wanda didn’t create westview she simply changed and altered what was already there the only building she fully created was her own house. I’m sure eventually once she fully gets in control of her reality warping powers she could do it. And she kinda did this accidentally creating the hex and creating vision.

    This hits so differently without music. With music you feel a sense of sadness, but without it it's like you're with the characters, feeling the sheer terror of the impending doom and the desperation as the hex closes and closes on them. Those little cracks in their voices which was covered up by the music adds so so so much more weight and emotion to the scene.

    What got me about Wanda and Vision in this is that in the MCU it seems they are so early in their relationship in infinity war. He hesitates asking her to stay with him and seems genuinely nervous. I assumed watching it that their "stolen moments" had been few and read his "I love you" as he died being the first time he says it, something she doesn't get a chance to say back. Which makes her calling him her love that little bit more tragic.

So after she did so... she released them as promised.

    i don't get how people think this ending victimized wanda. she literally lost ALL her loved ones, her grief and powers blinded her but in the end she still could see the reality and decided to set westview free. if she was truly evil she could easily keep pretending and keep living in her reality, bc that's where her last loved ones are.
    also wanda really knows an apology isn't enough for the citizens and she's now fully aware of how strong her powers are and its nature, she's isn't a simple witch so to me it's understandable why she chose to isolate herself again and study her powers
    she's a really complex character and even being a fan of her i could understand that this ending didn't victimized her, they also showed how much the citizens suffered throughout the show but if y'all didn't get that then that's on you

      Losing your fake dead husband and non-existent kids that didn’t even live for more than a week but still grew fast to free innocent people you brainwashed isn’t as admirable a feat as you might think. In the end it was a fake world that hurt actual people and even when she knew she tried to deny it until she was forced to confront it.

    • @namiwanda

      @@Crab-Man42 and who says her choice was admirable??? 🤨 also i was talking about her parents, brother and the real vision. but even if she spent just 9 days with a family she created, they still meant a lot to her, because !!!!!!! hello?? she's So mentally unstable, wanda has a lot of traumas and a power she can't even understand nor fully control, she was grieving while being completely alone and living with the fact that she couldn't say goodbye to vision.
      her mind is really fucked up, how do you expect her not to love them and choose them as long as she can?? (again, we are talking about a extremely powerful and traumatized witch who is grieving, not a normal person irl).
      understanding why she did what she did doesn't mean defending or excusing her, i really hope you know that 🧍‍♂️ choosing to free those citizens was the right and logical choice obviously. it is not admirable, but still, it was a big choice for her (and agaaaain, that still doesn't excuse her, but vision and the kids were her last loved ones, even if they can't exist outside of the hex, they literally are real there and this was said in the show. so it was a big decision for HER).
      denying is literally a phase of grief, everything that tells wanda that her reality is fake could end up reminding her that vision is dead, so she starts being really delusional. and the fact that she didn't understand her powers doesn't help too, wanda really believed that she gave the citizens a better life but in reality they were having her nightmares and feeling her emotions, in the last ep it's clear that she didn't know how her powers affected them.
      but anyways, no one here is saying wanda did nothing wrong. i don't get why are y'all so annoying telling everyone how wanda fucked up, we know!!! and i don't know if you are trying to convince people to not be a fan of her, but well written villains/antagonists always get a lot of fans at some point, this is not new, c'mon....

      They didn't justify it tho???? The "sacrifice" being talked about here wasn't the events of Westview, it was practically everything else she did as an Avenger. Remember, these events wouldn't have happened if Wanda was forced to kill her own lover to save the universe back in Infinity War. That's a great sacrifice.
      Ugh another day another Wandavision hater spouting nonsense.
      It's made very clear in the show that it's Wanda's fault and it's her responsibility, but she did all of that unwillingly. You can even see that immediately tried to break open the Hex and soon as she learned that the people were suffering. She didn't even know that they were before Agatha freed the minds of all those people in front of her. As someone who's lost people close to them, that denial that Wanda was in the whole time makes perfect sense.
      And in the end, she apologizes for all the pain she's caused, and rightfully noted that if she does end up "taking responsibility" and confronting the townspeople, it wouldn't change change how they see her. Thats literally the three lines in the show and they make perfect sense. Thanks for coming to my ted talk.

      -Being so mad that the multiverse is on the brink of death?

Well I do sympathize with her loss, the way she handled it makes her a villain. And the fact that Monica took Wanda's side instead of explaining how she's clearly wrong and harming innocents is what ticks me off. It's kind of a M-She-U trend lately, when women do anything there are no consequences which sends out a wrong message to audience. Look at Civil War cause of her collateral damage, she was literally kept in an involuntary house arrest which is a nuanced storytelling approach. Phase 4 chose the woke narrative and is retconning a lot of stuff. Not gonna end well for Disney.

      @@Stylewxo0 Oh, sure, I understand what Rambeau means, but I don't understand why her sympathy should matter to me. When I watched that scene, I was thinking not how sorry I felt for Wanda, but how terribly she had treated the people of Westview. Sure, Wanda lost Vision, but I'll bet many of the THOUSANDS of people she terrorized lost loved ones as well. They didn't turn that loss into someone else's misery. We could engage in the theoretical debate "maybe they would have if they could", but the reality is that Wanda acted like a horrible person, and then skipped town as if she had no duty to try to make things right.
      For the record, I don't know what she could have done to make things right--maybe nothing--but the hallmark of a good person is that they *try*. Wanda basically just briefly acknowledged she'd done something wrong--my bad!--and then skipped town. That's not trying; that's bailing.

      @mgc26133 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      @@TrackerNeil This is gonna be long, apologies in advance :)
      I think in the end by leaving Wanda did the best thing she could have done for them. Because like you said, what could she have even done? The town and its people will be much better off without her in their faces every day, reminder of the crap she's put them through. I mean Westview is not Metropolis where every other day another batshit crazy thing happens that require a hero's interference so she could have something to try and redeem herself with. Her presence would make things worse for the people, not even saying that now that military is involved too, it's really better that she's gone. You might see that as bailing, but truth is it is not. She fixed the mess she created, dealt with the military and the bad witch, and set the people free before leaving the town to heal. Wanda is not one to run from her problems. She never did, with Ultron, with the Accords, even with the aliens and finally Thanos. She always stood her ground and tried to do the right thing.
      But she's not a Mary Sue. She struggled to make those choices. She was aware of the consequences, but she still went through with them. And each took a toll on her. That's why throughout MCU she kept coming back and forth between a hero and villain. Who wouldn't, if they had the power Wanda had and been through the crap she did? She may be a badass imbued with mad cosmic powers, but at heart, at mind, she is still a human. She makes mistakes, but is big enough to learn from them and grow, which is what makes her a fan favorite.
      If Wanda was that horrible person like people make her out to be, she wouldn't care about what she's doing. She would just expand the hex until whole world is under her control, and seeing how she handled Agatha, there really is no one on the planet that could stop her. It is simpler to take the easy route, which she did for a while. And she had no reason to think the people were feeling her grief, having her nightmares, so it was all okay. To her the hex was just a thing that she could have her fake family to live with inside. But when she was faced with what's really happening, what the hex is really doing to people, and once she grew out of her denial, she took action and set the town free. Even if it meant she would have to give up her peace of mind.
      That's what Monica was saying. And to her, this was a very similar setting because Carol too, her childhood hero, had hurt those that did not deserve it, and in the end was forced to face her wrongdoings. Neither people had the complete picture to begin with, and neither would do the things they did if they knew what was really going on. That's why she's able to sympathize with Wanda.
      Sorry for the long text, I just wanted to put this out there :)

      @@mgc26133 Thanks for your reply.
      I think the question "What could Wanda have done?" is a valid one. I don't know how one makes amends for enslaving and mentally tormenting thousands of people for weeks on end, but I know this much. A good person *tries* to find out. A good person makes the effort to not just stop committing evil but to make something good.
      There's a notion that bad people cannot feel guilty about the wrongs they do, or have affection for the people they hurt. This is demonstrably false. You don't have to be a cackling villain to be a bad person; all that's required is that you do harm without regard for the consequences to others. This exactly describes Wanda.
      Sure, she had a terrible childhood. Absolutely, she lost the man (or robot) she loved. I imagine that John Wayne Gacy had his own trials, but the families of his victims likely don't care, just as the people of Westview don't care about Wanda's struggles. Her pain doesn't change the fact that she tormented thousands of people for no good reason, and refused to stop even when repeatedly entreated to do so. She was dedicated to her little torture-world, and committed violence against those who tried to stop her. That's what a bad person does.
      Again, I'm not sure just what Wanda could have done to make things right...except try. Try hard. Try repeatedly. Try for years, if that's what it takes, because the damage she caused will last a lifetime.

    Here's one of the things that makes me wonder about the level of imagination regarding magic users in the comics world. Like with Batgirl being in a wheelchair with Zatanna as a friend and ally. It should be a nothing spell from her to heal her spinal cord and spine and reconnect everything. She can heal people from wounds, yet does nothing. Wanda could actually use her powers to create those children from her DNA and if Vision could be a father, from his as well. There was no reason for Her to take the actions that was seen in Multiverse of Madness. Technically, since she can warp reality itself, and Spiderman: No Way Home proved magic can transport people from different universes, she should have been able to bring those children from their own reality to hers, just like Strange's magic brought the three Spidermen and some of their villains to the their universe. She had more options than the strange one she chose here and in the Multiverse of Madness story. Her end was also thus UNNECESSARY.
