I used to say that all the time bro. His verse on this song is one of his all time best. Most people now would have no idea what this song is. This is REAL rap. Multiple artists that ALL have talent and can rhyme words that are bigger than 2 syllables. Rap from the mid 1990s the whole way through the early to mid 2000s was the absolute best it will ever be. That's just the sad truth. Rap on the radio now is trash. 99% of these wannabe rappers (like Drake, for example) have people write their damn lyrics for them. Lmao. Absolutely pathetic

Nas had a great intro with the slick multi’s; Pun had the best wordplay, Jada had the best punches, Raekwon rocked a crazy internal scheme, Joe was nice for cooling down after everybody else. Just straightforward and stylistic.

Pun was the equivalent of having a Rhodes scholar or a lawyer rapping. His vocabulary and command of language, coupled with his street knowledge, were extremely unique. That rare blend allowed him to spit verses that could be appreciated by, to quote him "live niggas and Pulitzer Prize winners". He's a true 1 of 1, and we still haven't seen anyone who could replicate his skill set.

Me too fam, he is one of the most underrated when it comes to these lists and he birthed a lot of people too. He has everything in his arsenal: wordplay, story telling, flow, uniqueness, style, fashion sense all of that while still being a team player. He is a heavyweight when it comes to this rap ishh and maybe, to me, the most captivating MC of all time. A great writer period.
