A blood moon allows the game an excuse to free up all of its memory and entirely reset the world back to a known state. I remember learning about it during one of the first GDQ speedruns of BotW, when it happened during the run. I love that the designers thought of that.

I feel like you should recommend more usual slice of life or sports anime, not only are they good genres for more laid back people, they also would be more enticing to newcomers because they would have familiar settings and ideas. K-On and Kaleido Star were my first exposures, but I wouldn't say they're the best for people to start with

You thought this was just a normal anime recommendation, but it was me, Dio!!! Another anime I would recommend is JoJo's bizzare adventure, but it is a lot weirder, as you can tell from the title.

When the game tries to process it, it has a brain aneurysm and crashes
