- I finally visited an Armstrong Nursery while here in Southern California. I wasn't disappointed! They are huge and have a great selection of houseplants (rare and common), succulents, cacti and garden plants. Their prices range in affordability, but I think it depends on the region you're in. The philodendron Summer Glory is my absolute favorite plant!!! Not only is it large and easy to care for, but the beautiful coloring of the new leaves is such a joy. I highly recommend this for any plant parent!!

Yeah, I went to an Armstrong’s in San Diego. I believe could’ve been on the side of town so I don’t know. But it was fun and I think you’re having a lot of fun. Good job.

That was a wonderful review, Carmen! I have an Armstrong down the street from me and I've been going there for as long as I can remember. Must be 40 years although it was a Nurseryland before it became Armstrong. I did notice their prices went up significantly after the pandemic. 🙁 I think they should hire you to do their marketing!

Those costa farm plants are expensive. You can get costa farms plants in box stores for a lot less, but I'm sure you already know that. Great video.

...Also, I just got my two little variegated jade plants. But they are much smaller than they are in this shop.

TFS Carmen, loved the tour. That nursery was so inviting, from the plants to the patio decor. Can’t wait to see what you’ve picked up, there was lots to choose from🤗. The peace Lily was a good deal. I have one and they need a bit more light that the regular green or the domino, she’s really easy care. Some of the prices were really good like the Thai for 249 I think, but the trending tropicals were a bit inflated. Looking good and so happy to be in your element plant nursery hopping🫶😂

☺️looking forward to another haul but please be mindful of the shipping costs back to Florida. I sent my cousin some plants from NY( Long Island) and I swear the prices doubled from late last year. Ugh

Sea Lavender? Never heard of it! Wow! Love it & the variegated jade & the 50% off pot with the large aeonium & jade in it. I tell ya, my blood pressure would be hitting the roof at these nurseries from all these nurseries. Lol

I do find the prices on the high side. Sometimes I can validate the prices considering how much care and time the grower spent looking after it over the years. I also understand if the plant is rare. What is your opinion of these prices?🇨🇦
For California, I thought they were ok. I have two more Cali videos coming up and you'll see some plants that are over priced and another nursery that has incredible deals. So, it all depends. I will also have a haul video soon.

Good deals? Ha! For millionaires. Jk. 😂 Well, it depends, I suppose. I’ve seen some random good deals there. Like a variegated _Philodendron_ ‘Jose Buono' and a 'Painted Lady' for like $19.99 ea., which are easily more at most places. They’re not that rare these days so I suppose it’s expected to go down though.
Meanwhile, the most common, run-of-the-mill plants at Armstrong are vastly overpriced, sometimes comically so. Yet something rare, or a "hot commodity", is suddenly available there for $20. 🤔😬
Still, I like that you’re paying for their (likely) above average SELECTION of, overall, VERY healthy plants. So you just weigh your options, like anywhere… I will say their plants are consistently high in quality, and of course they always look healthier with all that signature leaf-shine they apply! 🤣

I don’t recommend anyone ever get the hoya princess it takes FOREVER to grow
That’s odd, mine seems to grow pretty well. Maybe try higher light an fertilizing helps too, I foliar feed with super thrive Hoya love it. 💚
Mine grow like weeds all of them I have 4 Hoya princess one is 5 ft long
