Just finished my kit. Love it! Only thing that bug me the most is the injection line that runs across his forehead. I plan to paint him as Robo 2, just not brave enough to do it lol. Even Mafex cant get it right!
Awesome! Yes I agree he could use a little cleaning up and then would be even better. I plan on experimenting eventually with that kind of paint job too, so when the time comes I’ll let you know my findings. When in doubt practice on cheaper kits that you don’t like as much 🐤👍🏻 HG gunpla is perfect for this
Robocop crossover with The Mandalorian, Beskar Robocop would be badass 😅. I agree with the point on the pearlescent purple paint job on the Mafex RoboCop, I can't remember the movie very well but I think the Cain Cyborg has a flame thrower and metal does get that pearlescent/rainbow look when hit by a flame, so it could be scene accurate but if not the guy at Mafex that did it was ready to go home so ended up going gung-ho with his airbrush 😅
I think moderoid and good smile have made leaps and bounds as far as character selections, and engineering. Such a seemingly, simplified engineering job. But by far, not far below Bandai's best efforts at this $ range. The overall quality seems good. But these cheaper looking kits are quickly getting more $$$. That's the problem 😮😂
@@MrSpriken too hard. It's like what hascrap is doing. When the line suddenly gets attention for doing something interesting $$$ go up. Which begins leveling collectors until they stop collecting.😃
The reason and explanation for why the details on the Moderoid kit are much sharper than the action figure is very simple. The parts of the model kit are styrene and abs versus the toy being made of primarily of PVC and ABS materials. Styrene will retain and capture the details a lot more accurately and cleanly than PVC but is a lot more fragile (breakage-wise) than PVC (durability is a lot stronger). This is also due to the way the material properties are with PVC versus styrene.

The nice thing about the Model Kit version is that you can do Customs.
I say take the legs off, glue the torso onto a small boat, and make Rowboatcop.
😂 hahaha the possibilities are endless! 🐤
Pretty sure tuat computer chip is actually the fictional drug Nuke
Good to know! Thank you 🐤

That would be an awesome look. The flamethrower does jog my memory a bit. I remember the brain/eyes thing creeping me out 😆🐤
the model kit looks decent even without the paint im not gonna paint mine.
Yeah you’re right, it looks good as is 🐤

I agree 🐤 advances are being made but also hitting us hard in the pocketbook 😅

Yeah, prices are unjustifiable and some crazy

A very good explanation indeed. Thanks for sharing this information 🐤
