If actual oil mist density alarm sounds, M/E slowdown for 2/S engine and shutdown for 4/S engine will be activated. False alarm will give only warning sound.
To measure sample, Rotor arm draws from one by one unit and pass through measuring tube, then vent to atmosphere. At the same time, Fan draws the other remaining units (in chamber) and passing through Common suction pipe, then vent to atmosphere. It means to avoid oil mist accumulates in the system, and to get correct oil mist density when taking particular unit.
sir good day. i have a question pls.
if OMD alarm sounds during M/E operation, how can i be sure that it is a false alarm or real alarm?

Sir can you pls tell me about the outlet of the fan of OMD .
Samples which are drawn in chamber where does it goes or vented

In some engine, fan outlet is connected to breather pipe.
