The Nilgiri marten is an enigma. This small, weasel-like mammal lives only in the Western Ghats where it’s rarely seen- those that have often mistaken it for a giant squirrel. In this episode, follow naturalist Surya Ramachandran as he explores the forest patches of Munnar with Hadlee Renjith in the hopes of glimpsing this creature that’s long captivated him. I love the weasel family should be classed as super predators theirs nothing what can really take them on pound for pound there unstoppable and reletus in there pursuit after there prey these are the kings yes you did well getting some footage of them we go out at nite time looking for stoats weasels mink etc with thermal imaging cameras and were very lucky to spot one see everything else but very rear we see members of the weasel family and for yous looking in a jungle again very lucky thanks for shering

December 2023 we spotted 2 Yellow Martens while going to Vaishno devi temple, Katra , JK.
Could not catch them on camera , as we were on horses
