    Z flashing would of been a better choice for the flashing on the bottom of the plywood. Also, there is no gap between the zip-plywood and the flashing. That will leave room for the water to run off. Now it’s going to hold water, and the bottom of the plywood will rot out. You guys are working hard though, keep it up

    Hello Jason, the episode that showed Jared's fire pit I spotted a couple of minerals that peaked my curiosity. I think you might be living in a Gold Corridor. Can you check your creeks for granite, quartz, red copper deposits, or silver ore evidence?

    I am so excited that you are using the zip system. It seems like it is so strong and will hold up well. Once again, Jason, you did another wonderful cinematic intro. Breathtaking as always! I pray that the heat will break soon for you all and the rest of the country. Love and hugs to the three of you. Be safe and hydrate! Blessings

    Nice work on your new home. I hope you can get further along on this project before Jared’s shed arrives. When Danielle isn’t there Jared can be a valuable source in building your home. Your new home is looking great. I’m getting anxious to see it when it’s finally built.

    Wow, the intro to this was awesome. Love the slow mo and the dogs. And the music was really nice too. Starting to see the vision you had on your build. It's really going to be beautiful. My dream build would be to have four or five either tiny homes, sheds, or containers set up in a square but the center open for a courtyard right in the middle. And I would do like a Japanese look on the roofs, use lots of black color and light stain wood on the outside and of course a few koi ponds and lots of large rocks in the yard with tropical trees and plants and bonsai all over. Lol I'm dreaming big Jay. Maybe one day!

    Whey do people call OSB, Ply wood when they are both completely different material's. Well I can tell you never put down flashing before LOL. You can cut that flashing were the corners remain Square. As for the windows Don't worry about cutting them out as you go, If you have a router you can get a flush bit that has a bearing on the bottom of the bit, drill a hole in one of the corners of the window and it makes fast work with cutting out windows and doors.

Teaching them property lines they will guard them like a pack of wolf's lol..

    Jason, you are amazing! I love what you are doing. I also am looking forward to Jared’s build and am following his channels as well. His shed to house and hang-out area are looking great. He mentioned bringing rock in for around the fire pit to not stand in grass. That’s a great idea! I know you all will do things your way but if you don’t mind, I have a great tip with a FREE way to make sure grass doesn’t grow up between the rock at least for a good while. Break down boxes from your subscribers and Amazon purchases and overlap them them then put the rock on top. The grass, weeds and even vines underneath will die off due to lack of sun and the boxes will biodegrade making nice soil in the future.

    Looking good bud. If you cover the screw/nails with liquid flashing, any water that gets in, won't make its way through those areas. Along with the bottom where it meets the flashing, it'll help keep bugs/ants and water out of the seam. Especially those ants
    I remember when you hit 5k. Glad to see Jared hitting 60k. 100k soon.
    God bless you all and keep you safe

  • @questmatrix
    @questmatrix 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Love watching your channel. The sheathing should not lay flat on the flashing because it can wick up water and rot the wood over time. Best to leave a gap. I guess you could zip tape seal the bottom of the sheathing to the flashing so water doesn't penetrate under the sheathing.

    A couple ideas that helped/helps me is Arnica gel from Walmart, takes away itch for mosquitoes and chiggers, also inside of a banana peel. It's supposed to help bruises. Not for open sores. For poison ivy I use Indian Healing powder (calcium bentonite clay) says for facials but it has many uses. Add Braggs Apple cider vinegar to make a paste. Experiment with wetter or less wet. This can be put on areas that are affected, feels cooling let it dry .When itch starts, wash off and do it again. if you're skeptical, start with a smaller patch and see if it helps. It draws out poison.

    Ha ha ha you boys will be like me eventually.... when i moved to Australia from my homeland of NZ New Zealand (I was a Kiwi) I was a Kwausi = Kiwi/ Aussie , now I've lived longer in Australia than I did in NZ so I'm an Auski now Aussie/Kiwi. Retained my birth heritage and added my chosen home where my kids were born (&1 is buried already) and now my grkids are born, with great grkids in the not too distant future.
