god i miss total biscuit its always a nice surprise when i need to look up some obscure game and see that he did a video on it and i can watch him again
I remember watching TB’s research livestream of Wasted in 2016. Man.. the world and my life in general was so damn different back then. Crazy how much shit can change in 5-6 years smh. Rest easy Biscuit, hope you’re at peace now.
For anyone who wants to get the "sauce" about this game, and 'getting gud", I'll try to provide a short guide. -First off, this game does not have automatic progress, instead you have to deliberately put effort into saving things by putting them in courier boxes, or drinking a bottle with a good perk (or bad perk if you really need to return) stashing whatever you have that's worth stashing (including TP), and getting back into the vault. Every time you get a chance to save your progress, you learn to consider it, consider stashing what's most valuable (Fun fact you can store medpacks in the courier boxes and you'll get access to a stash of medkits every time you open a courier box). Leave anything you really want at home until you think you're ready to dive in. -ARMOR/STATS. MATTER. OBLIT, SNEAK, and Tinker are tertiary, what really matters is HIT and then SHOOT. Every 2 points of HIT gives you a point of armor. Shoot makes your bullets do more damage. -LET ENEMIES FIGHT EACH OTHER AND THE ENVIRONMENT. Enemies fight each other about as much as they fight you, let them do it. -Sneak is more for getting Crits during an ambush, and being able to avoid conflict when you don't need to. It's a viable playstyle, but not an entirely slow one. --If you can't out-shoot and out-play the game, take some time to load up on good perks over a few runs, stashing pistol rounds and medkits back in your home whenever you get the chance. Pistol rounds and medkits fall like rain on the first few floors, and it's a great place to stock up. Wait until you've got enough positive quirks and gotten a good stockpile if you aren't confident, you don't have to, but it does make the game a lot easier. -Use any items you find that you want but you can't pick up and carry. This will keep your health topped off. -Guns are good, but yeah, pick them up and switch them out as they empty if you have to space/no ammo.
still to this day, the gaming industry had no better gaming journalist then you bro. i stopped watching gaming content in general when this all came to an early end.
its not bad once you figure out the cycle, got some decent worldbuilding and semi storytelling from computer journals n shit and the progress from the booze hangover mechanic can stack crazy which is agood sense of progression. i've played 50 odd house and beat the first 2 coolers and i think im just over half way through.

This game predicted that we'd be bartering with toilet paper in the near-future.
