Is Mamedev the only legal way to download these ROM's? Are the other platforms illegal?

What is the point of an all-text video. May as well just read a web page.

Ho there, first off this is one of the best TH-cam pages on a Raspberry Pi so thank you as I am very new. My questions are if you insert this SD card how will the Pi run? Doesn't the OS run off the SD card? Also I only have 16gig memory card in it as I was told basically its the most the Pi was capable of with out corrupting or not able to read it, what do I do if I run out of memory? No one gives information if you can install onto a external hard drive or run off one, what the sudo means, what difference is with terminal etc and when you ask questions you get smart asses? I think this is why people new to Linux from Windows get intimidated and run the other way. Any help much appreciated. Also I get confused as I'm running raspbian os then I see other OS I just wish someone would make a video what to do after you set up what apps to put on the stock standard OS for beginners till they get the hang of it you know. Cheers from down under Australia

What I'd like to know is, where do these roms come from? The game itself?

yea. basically someone has the physical version of the game and they have a device that connects to the pc that converts it to a rom file

Hi. I hope you can help me or at least point me in the right direction. I have a IYO Raspberry pi 3B+ Recalbox Video Game Machine with 14000 already installed, but I have en external hard drive that has nearly 2000 PS1 games. I can see in the menu that you can switch from internal to external storage, how to I prep my roms to be able to work on this system. Im pretty much new to this, but I went to a lot of trouble to get all these games, and I would like the chance to be able to play them. Any advice you could give would be helpful.

      Hi,
      I didn't know this project
Seems a bit old, why do you need it compared to other solutions like Retropie, Recalbox or Lakka?
