I’m sure you’re going to see this comment a lot, but you’re 1 of two BTS reactors I follow. I feel like you genuinely like and support BTS. You take the time to learn about them and their journey. Others just do it for the hype and views.

You have to always remember that Boracity makes videos as an Army for other Armys, so that's her point of view. Clickbaiting and other tactics make sense from a content creator standpoint, but as an Army, your view and your experience engaging with that content is completely different from theirs on the receiving end, and that's what Boracity is discussing. The same goes for streaming guidelines, rules, and tips. They may seem like a lot for an average or casual fan, but the longer and deeper you are in Army spaces, especially Twitter, the more you learn how vital and important these are to supporting and maintaining BTS in their current position in the industry. There's nothing wrong with liking some of the types of videos she called out that may be more superficial or entertainment-focused, but for people that want a more in-depth Army experience, Boracity is trying to help guide them to a different way of engaging with the content, MVs, songs, etc. and I think that can be a big part of the Army identity.

i get what you mean about the rules but armys do them all the time its very easy and natural when you get used to it. this is the very reason you found bts because armys made sure to always stream and buy their music if we didnt do this you would not be seeing bts rn thats the reality they are NOT played on radio enough. if armys stopped streaming like this they would fall from the charts and not have any coverage by news and be seen as a one hit wonder or assumed to have stopped making music like PSY. psy has stayed making music since gangnam style but because he doesnt have a dedicated fan base to stream people wont know only the random clicks on his music are why he gets lots of views but it doesnt help him win awards or get respect in the music industry.
keep reacting to boracity magazines other videos youll understand better then. streaming is listening to music when we want at least once a day if we want to listen all day when can if we can only listen to a few songs then thats what we do.
we all work and go to school and we can also find time to listen to bts that is what shes talking about. its the same just with a few extra steps to remember. but its not that hard and doesnt take the fun out at all i been a army since 2018 and been doing this since 2018 and i didnt lose any fun because of it.

i get your point about enjoying bts' contents at our own accord without following any rules, but rules are there because we want our views/streams/votes to be counted by those platforms (youtube, spotify, etc). we're enjoying their contents already, so we need to make sure that our own contributions were properly counted and not just in vain. we enjoy it and bts gets their proper credit, that's the point, a win-win 💜
also, i consider myself a x/twitter army. it's stressful, but if you find the correct accounts to follow, your feed will be so much fun. and you can always make use of the mute and block button on twitter when you don't want to see certain accounts tweets.

i hope people dont attack him cause if theyre not on other parts of youtube the wont get what he means about the drama channels. hes talking about real drama channels like drama alert, philip defranco, deangelo wallace etc those types base on real things happening on youtube, social media or in real life etc but she meant specific channels that make up stuff and frame it as truth not rumors etc. but ppl wont know if they never seen the real drama channels that started the category of drama channels because older drama channels are based on real things not fake clickbait or rumors.

I agree that there are some reactors I don't like watching because they stop every 5 seconds of a music video and talk forever before they watch another 5 seconds. Its annoying and I have no clue how they even catch the vibe of the song. I find myself screaming at the screen, 'watch the video!'. I subscribed to you a long time ago. I don't have anyone to share my BTS interest with so its nice to be able to see others react here. I love how you genuinely seem to enjoy what you are reacting to with that ear to ear smile or you show true interest in what you are seeing. Just keep doing you, we'll be here for it. Plus you're a piece of eye candy, I can't lie.

I dont like people telling me what to do. I agree with some of what is highlighted, but some parts are a bit much. When it comes to reactors, whether it's BTS, tv shows of movies, I'll react to who i feel connected to, and i normally wait 3-4 videos before i subscribe. I did indeed notice when you started you liked it but maybe did it for the views ....at the beginning. It was nice to see you grow and really become a fan. I don't click on overhyped videos or anything looking suspicious. A lot of reactors that only post JK, V and Jimin videos when saying they want to know the group i tend to stay away from as well. You can have favs ofc but when they miss a release from othe rmembers, that's icky for me personally.

Definitely, no app is safe from toxicity, lone followers, and fights. But Twitter is where people get the most information about kids, where you can seek the most support and correction when you're doing things wrong or when we have to stream, etc. Army TH-cam doesn't give you this kind of information, and the best place to get it is Twitter.

I wish to share my thoughts about Boracity. I like that it is a well-structured channel, and I enjoy many of its video essays. However, the channel tends to focus on certain topics without an open mind. Not every fan shares the same perspective on what we should or shouldn’t prioritize.
Many ARMY members aim to help BTS achieve more records and success, while others simply enjoy their music or love the entertainment content the group provides. There’s nothing wrong with favoring one aspect over another. ARMY is not a monolith; we have diverse thoughts and feelings. Trying to urge a single way of thinking can diminish the richness of our fandom and make it feel more exclusive. Embracing our differences can only strengthen our support for BTS and enhance our community.

This is the only boracity magazine video with which I have had problems. For once, her editing is sloppy, and she passes emotional, superficial judgment of some channels. First, it should be divided into 2 videos - the second half with instructions for viewing should be its own video.
Second, Criticism of creators didn't always match up with who was on her screen - we have seen in the past that she likes some of the people she showed during her harsh words.
She also doesn't give credit for those channels who put out many videos with a large group of reactors but are lead by completely devoted ARMY. Redemption 46 is one of those. The main guy attributes BTS with saving his life, and his core group know their shit. Everyone else is just high, but they end up giving their input for half an hour after listening. (The reason i don't often watch their videos with the whole group is because they're so damned high. 😄)
She also doesn't give credit for those fun reactors who may not go deep all the time, but put all their energy into communicating to ARMY. WhatchaGot2Say are the most genuine fanboys in existence. They just happen to act like hyper, exaggerated kids and that turns many off. They have built a tight community and joined with other reactors to the point they literally have a yearly convention with game events, activities, and discussion panels.
She doesn't seem to consider the main attractions of watching reactors, which are to vicariously experience content again, and to have some form of companionship when you may not have that ARMY friend in real life.
Edit: ugh, corrected some terrible autocorrections

I start watching you because I like your opinions on things and even tho sometimes its hard to critic something (like you said its easier to just give positive coments about the content) I actually prefer honest coments even tho i sometimes may not agree with that coment, I feel like it came out more honest and real, and it show more about the person views and opinions about things. Was really cool to hear the perspective of someone that also do reactions talk about why some channels do some things.🙂👍

Hi, just wanted to say I really like your reactions bc you seem genuinely interested in BTS and you are honest. The amount of channels I've seen that start reacting to bts and bc there's views they start reacting to 1723937 groups and solo kpop artists in a hirt time while barely commenting about the content and forgetting what they already watched is crazy! I'm not saying they can't react to others that aren not bts but come on.. you can tell when someare not interested in any group when they are just overreacting every single video and saying "wow this is the best song/ performance ever" or just stop reacting to music and start watching just repetitive tiktok compilations while doing clickbait too lol
They definitely do it for clout and also they end up attracting a lot of toxic communities but that is just another topic.
I think from TH-camr's pov I get why many use those tactics and more if they want to do it for a living but from armys pov that are looking for hood content and appreciate art a lot, that is just not enjoyable and that's why many end up unsubscribing or something.
And let me stop here bc if I talk about the drama and "news" youtube channels... nah they make me so mad. Always spreading misinformation, fake rumors and defaming. We've been reporting for years!

When I was baby army I used to watch a lot of reaction content about BTS songs but now that's a true army and a TH-cam army I know very well which channels should I follow and how to stream and interact with army , and there's one more thing rex we know that you like BTS and your being a fan now but believe me being a baby army is totally different than being an A.R.M.Y , as bts fans we have duties to do we don't just listen to or watch bts because we like them or for entertainment we actually share a deeper bond with them we have some rules to follow just like BTS are working hard for us and dedicating so much content to us we pay them back by supporting streaming voting and protecting them , every time BTS win an award the first word they say is ARMYYY they thank us before anyone else because they know that if it weren't for our support they won't achieve this much success BTS and ARMY are literally one family we share our ups and downs together we fall and get up together and a lot more so what I'm trying to say is what you call "entertainment" we call it "duty" that's why i think what boracity said is all true and we really need to take the streaming guide seriously cuz it's so important, that's it 💜

Twitter armys are definitely the best in updates, projects, translations, humor and support in general! The negative side is that well... it's twitter. There's definitely toxicity from every community everywhere. Sometimes, it's exhausting and specially this year that bts has received so much hate and attacks from other fandoms constantly ngl, but if you focus on interacting the most with official accounts, good bts fanbases and ot7 armys, it's a great space! that's why I have to admit that despite all the toxicity that exist in that app, it's still my favorite and also bc it's been literally army's hose since the very beginning bc bts used to interact a lot with us there. Twitter armys are top 🙌
But be careful! now there're a lot of accounts from other fandoms pretending to be fans too to damage bts' and army's image

At the end of the day, you just need to be genuine and you are and it's very obvious. You are allowed to criticize, praise, comment as long as your intentions are good. Just be yourself, be open minded, take constructive criticism and don't let any negative comment affect you. I hope you don't get any hate.
I would recommend not joining twitter though for your own mental health, it's very toxic and unless you are a pro at cleaning your timeline, you shouldn't be there. You will have more productive conversations in your community posts or if you create a discord.
And about Patrion, this is my personal opinion, you are free to ignore it. I like your reactions but i should not be forced to pay to watch reaction content. There are people who will pay regardless because they can afford it. And i have done that before, I have subscribed to someone's Patrion but they don't make it mandatory, i do it because i want to. And that is how it should be. Don't force people who love watching your reactions to pay. (you don't have to agree with my opinion)

I just don’t see the point of making such a video by BORACITY. People can watch and like whatever reaction they want. I don’t know why it’s like a warning. If you like it then watch it if you don’t you don’t. Someone having to tell others to be cautious of certain reactors what is the point. Maybe the point is to not give certain reactors views but why do you care. That’s what I don’t like about some Army. They stick their nose into things that are none of their business. Oh well, this is the first time I actually saw a BORACITY video and I was expecting more. I thought it was more aligned with BTS views on letting be people be who they want to be and express themselves like they want if they aren’t causing any harm. Why not, especially if all you have to do is just not click on it if you don’t like it. It’s simple. BTS is going to be used and exploited by people we don’t approve of and that’s the way it is. Nothing can be done about it but not give that person views. We already know that. DUH. I really like you reactions. Keep up the good work.👍👍 I💜BTS.

The downside to this video was it wasn't as throughly researched as it should have been. She hurt a lot of GOOD, HONEST content creators because of this. So many woke up to huge drops in their subscribers because of it. She showed random channels that she hadn't even researched, including throwing up a picture of a rumor debunking channel under the topic of drama channels, and these channels received a bunch of hate from it.
Also, I see a lot of comments about following streaming rules. Weverse actually has streaming rules and you can react in the first 24 hours, but it has to be in a time limit and stuff like that. ARMYS actually do more damage to the views not understanding that you can't just put a song on repeat. If you do that and it plays a hundred times, it only counts as 1 watch/view. Like I said, wish she had done more research.

  • @cmbts7

i do feel like the tone in this (boracity) video isn’t great, however i do understand her frustration - a lot of the reaction TH-camrs make money off being “BTS FANS” but then do not stream the music even in passing, buy the albums, go to events e.g. movies screenings, follow the boys on socials e.g. IG, do not promote to their audience but then also receive free (sometimes expensive) gifts so yes, that does feel a little icky
for example, anime reactors will go buy merch, collectibles, funko pops etc and really engage with the community
And there’s nothing wrong with voting on those fun polls but then why is it so hard to vote on official polls so the boys can win an award?
I also watch reaction videos for purely entertainment purposes and like you said a sense of camaraderie but this whole making money off something but not giving back doesn’t sit right with a lot of ARMY
Not saying this is necessarily you, but just another perspective 😊

Remember, it's using the likeness and names of a person they don't have legal permission to. If the headline is a lie that causes people to believe enough to click then it could be libel, slander, defamation. Not entertaining. You are totally right I'm very much and careful about which reactors I watch although I do think you have to watch more than one of the videos to truly get since where the heart is for instance where is the producer Frankie bigz he started out who is a judgment that everyone has with BTS at first. And he criticized Jimin pretty harshly and then on are you sure he criticized v because he got the wrong him what do his actions and his words you can tell that he was interested to learn and he did learn and he did Apologize and you can tell that his heart is in the right place wanting to learn about BTS and why they are so great and the same with a group of kids called theplaybackboys they were very dismissive in for the first couple videos I did not like that they were disrespectful but as they learned more about BTS in their impact they became a lot more respectful but while still being honest know those two reactors are one of my favorite TH-cam channels reaction channels I understand what you're saying about the hate and being apprehensive as you can see with the whole suga fake Army take any opportunity of a criticism to turn it like awful and then pretend to be Army and then you have the fake Army who are just really crazy and obsessive and can't take criticism very well at all and then you have the real army who are misguided into overprotective but I think the thing to do is TH-camr is to set your own boundaries for instance go back to two TH-camrs that was talking about the producer guy has taken to create a list of rules you have to follow when commenting and it seems to be helping he also received some really awful comments after his criticism that he's pursuing legal action about apparently I I think that could help you

I follow 8 reactors of Bts. You are one of them. I enjoy people wanting to learn about bts. I enjoy people that actually care about their music, talents and messages. I don't like the ones who react to every kpop group snd being overhyped about every group. You can't like all songs and all groups. There are too many reasons why Bts is biggest kpop group and just group in general. People that actually care about music as art will never be fans of kpop. You can even hear the passion in Bts voices. They are really meaning these words. The other kpop groups just do wherever the comoany tell them to do. That's why i cannot get into kpop. Appreciate you for actually care about Bts💜

hi rex! you asked about which army accounts to follow on twitter, and boracity displayed a few of her recommendations after. you might have missed it: it's on 34:35. as an ARMY of 7 years, i agree with her list! having mostly translator armys and updater armys is a good way to start.
totally agree with you on the rules tangent! but i'd also like to mention that just like bts isn't like other kpop groups without their work ethic, there's a reason army isn't like other kpop fanbases either because we also have a work ethic. with streaming power and structure to follow, we work our way to the top alongside bts. not everyone is obligated to "do their work" or "do their part" of course, but these rules have allowed us to succeed and go higher with each comeback. :")

Rex, I always enjoy your videos and comments. The person you’re responding to today, though, has a very limited view of reaction videos. I watch video/film directors, music producers, choreographers, and vocal coaches who also react to BTS and I have learned a lot. There’s room for all kinds of reactions.

Twitter (X) is horrendous!!! There are so many haters, solos and shippers on there that just consistently hate on some of the members and yet call themselves ARMY….. And not just hate, there are so many posts that are legit cruel. It breaks my heart going on there and seeing the crap 😔💜

    • @MidnightxCrow
      @MidnightxCrow 10 วันที่ผ่านมา +3

Yeah but you just need to curate your timeline though... that's what we do and you will be fine for the most part...Twitter is and will remain where the core fandom of BTS is, you also get the most accurate info there, although the breeds you mentioned and other k-pop fans are annoying there but you can just block and ignore like I do lol

    • @flyushkifly

@@MidnightxCrowoh, I curated my timeline, all right. I chose all my mutual friends from my own demographic. The "elite" of adult OT7s, data analysts, academics, and theorists. Yet they still misunderstood my garbled tweet on my tiny account, didn't ask for clarification, and tore me to shreds until a million people cancelled me. I'll tell you - there is little more torturous than being cancelled by your family. Once people get a taste of the power of influence and self righteousness, they become dangerous, even if their cause is good. It was all in the name of protecting the members, so justified, they thought. It's a lot like religious conflict. It was traumatizing and disenchanting, and I left for good. It took a long time to trust ARMY again.

You are a genuine fan of BTS. I think you're on your way if not already Army. I use several determining factors to choose a BTS-TH-camr:
#1 you can see the reactor is distracted and/or talking over the songs and not rewinding a bit after pausing the music in order to get back into the song, and when the reactor doesn't understand the video but doesn't watch "Explained" videos despite Army letting them know it will answer their questions.
#2 the reactor doesn't even make an effort to know the member names and/or their roles in the band.
#3 the reactor only responds to the costumes or the set or the appearance all the while making superficial oohs and aahs, .
#4 the reactor is reacting to many Kpop bands and is therefore more interesting in grabbing subscribers and views from each fandom than being a genuine fan of BTS.
#5 when the reactor starts out posting a bunch of BTS videos on YT only to reduce it to one a week or less and meanwhile posting a bunch on Patreon. I understand that YT'ers need to make money, but they shouldn't neglect the people who enabled their Patreon status.
#6 when the title says "First Time" and they have several older BTS videos, and all those ridiculous "surprised" looks in the videos' thumbnails.
Rex, you do none of these things. You are not part of the "mess" which Boracity is talking about.

Rex you know why their are some rule's because the new ARMYs are so naive, the first impression is the most meaningful I think,I have a lot of friends who are new ARMYs and they come asking me some things and I tell them it's not true...some things are too ridiculous, the rules are set to support BTS because their is so much jealousy and competition in the industry..if one group is able to break BTS record they won't leave it,they would say things like " ended BTS"

Agree with you about the streaming thing for the casual listenr however these are rules for those of us who do stream in order to help BTS these rules or guidelines are not a must for every listener but these are for the people who actually want to to help BTS succeed l
I e the hardcore Army who want to. It's not a requirement by any means
But i Will note people doing this is a big part of the reason why BTS is successful. Also the guidelines here are mostly for baby army who see our streaming goals and organization and want to participate please don't feel obligated

The easiest way to determine if a channel is dishonest is to see if they choose a bias immediately. Most of the time, their BTS bias is the member who has the most views in their initial reaction.

I fallow in the past some content creators that will "paint themself" like they are truly becoming a BTS fan, but soon after, you can see that they only purpose is to gain subscribe, as soon as i identify them, i will unsubscribe. I found the ARMY attack on Ameere kind of entertaining itself honestly. Maybe it's because Ameere presented as a poster boy for a typical current day American rap fan, I was following to see his reaction to rap as it was expressed from a different cultural point of view. I felt he was genuinely being himself and giving his own opinion. Honestly, American rap is dripping in misogyny and hate toward women. I was hoping to see him gradually enjoy a different perspective from BTS. But toxic Army didn't give him a chance. They attacked him relentlessly and I honestly didn't know which side was more unpleasant.

I love, that you discuss this video and reflect it so genuinely and I also like Boracity a lot! I think it's totally fine to be critical with her as well, it's literally what she asked us to be. :)
25:00 You are right, that it gets more clicks, but think about why they'd be entering the competition in the first place. If you make an entertainment channel about BTS news, but you are genuinely interested in spreading true news and creating a space for ARMY to educate themselves like Boracity does, for example, then your quality content, your entertaining angles would be the reason for people to watch. Why would you then enter into a competition with channels that use "JK almost died" as a thumbnail. These clickbaits are no competition to your channel, are they? (English is not my first language, I'm not sure if I got my point across)
36:00 Totally agree. I don't systemically stream simply because 1) I also want to listen to other music and 2) BTS are my hobby, not work. I consider myself a very supportive ARMY, but let's be reasonable.
