Whoa. I had never seen the Library "Pre-Corn" Holy crap you did SO MUCH work!!!! Amazing 💕 you have definitely left your stamp on the place for whatever will come next for it!
Cornelius you are our hero! Thank you for saving the library. You have no idea how much that means to so many people, including us. We're camped down by the canal right now, will come in and see you this week, have to show you the funny Sissy Hankshaw coincidence. Feel free to drop us a line at liveworkdream.
I found your Channel about a month ago. I'm trying to watch all of your awesome videos. I'm sending you all love and prayers of happiness and abundance Blessed Be.. namaste
Cornelius, I love your videos thus far! I've been watching them since I found a comment you made on a Reddit post about some dude's paranoid story about being hunted at Slab City. I can't wait to visit you and your tribe at the Library in Slab city one day! You all are so cool and smart and artistic. Keep up the fantastic work! :)
I remember when the library started and when it had only three or four books; Rosa Lee was my friend at the time before she died of cancer in the late 90s, So it's really good work bringing the library forward; Drunk Kenny lived next door to the library, who also died there; Just some slab city history concerning the library at slab city
excellent that you are giving some love to rosalies library...and that a female energy has resurrected the vibes...loving the videos Lady...wishing you so much bless....
Good work! I am proud of your grassroots positivity. Keep helping to build up the village. I have been trying to get out to the Slabs since 2011. I am lo vision, so I can't drive a car, only a moped or scooter. I have a friend in my corner helping me now, so I will probably get out that way in the next few months. It would be cool to be able to say hi to some folks there in person. -One love, White Wolf
I will not judge anyone. we all need help at one time or another. I want to visit soon and take alot of water, coffee, food and books and some building materials, nails..keep up the library please. I hope you are there when I do visit
This reminds me of when I lived in Ward Valley, occupying the land and protesting nuclear waste dumping. It was a sweet community, and I miss the life. I like the updated list of needs here - I happen to have books in all the categories you're interested in. As we get rid of things here, preparing for vanlife, I will send them over there. love to you - ella
thank you so much, and come by to see it in person and hang out sometime! I never knew Rosalie, but her beautiful spirit is felt there and will be fostered lovingly.
You're an amazing young lady who ought not write a book about yourself and why you live the life style you do. A lot of us can relate I'm certain. I left home at seventeen years old and now I'm forty six years old. I've lived on the streets and floated across Canada(where I'm from). I chose to live the lifestyle because I was free to do and go where ever I desired to be. Now after the death of my husband I am getting itchy feet again and am trying to get a job. I would love to come and meet with you and chit chat about lifestyles and what we've learned on our travels. I can only imagine how exciting your life story is. You're so level headed my sweet girl. Keep up with the sweet videos. I watch your videos repeat after repeat LOL!!
Very interesting video you've posted! I love libraries. The reason I know of Slab City, is that I knew Peggy back in 1970. I met her in Spain. She was a wonderful girl. - It's quite a place you have out there in the outback. All the best XQB
Cornelius, love your videos and this library is incredible. Im hoping to stay for the winter, and plan on donating my metaphysical / eastern spirituality books when I get there. Cheers!

Hey Cornelius I have a lot of stuff like used canvases and weird NIC nacs books etc. What I am saying is that I live out by LAX airport , but I have family in Brawley . next time I go visit them maybe my husband and I can bring some of this stuff to you we have been wanting to see slabs . I went to your campaign site. A lot of people don't feel comfortable giving credit card information over the internet. It would be nice if you had a way to receive donations via Paypal on your campaign page. I know that really helps with fundraising campaigns. I wonder if building materials could be salvaged from the ruins at Bombay Beach, etc.. I've seen ruins in videos with good basic building materials that could be salvaged. Long 2x4 and beams, also sheet metal for roofing could be salvaged. Have you been there, what do you think? Have you thought about the possibility of a indigogo or kickstarter campaign? It appears to me Artists in need of funding are well represented.
Bombay beach is very dangerous there are still live shells there from our militarys' training. Walking that beach is walking a minefield literally. Is the po box the same?
Hey, do you do artist trading cards? (Just in case you arent familiar, ATC's are baseball sized cards that artists draw, paint, whatever will fit on a baseball card size backing and fit in a sleeve, and they trade them for ATC's made by other artists..) I know your broke, i could send a self addressed stamped envelope and some card blanks for you to work on. Heres what i think would be totally cool. Some of your art of course, and also, some reproductions of some of the awesome art on the water tanks and the metal art.. I dont know how much into drawing realism you do, but, I would totally cherish having some drawn, painted, whatever medium cards that just reflect the art in the slabs. Some day i want to come there and see and feel the awesomeness of it all. Anyway, if your not familiar with artist trading cards, google it and let me know what you think. I would love to trade some art with some slabbers! Im pretty poor too, but i could totally throw in some extra card blanks and sleeves and some other funky artsy things. let me know what you think. ATC's are totally addictive once you get started!
earthworkr2 Yes I'm familiar with artist trading cards. I don't have any made right now though. I've been focusing on canvas art, sculpture and collages.
ok cool. Im a potter/sculptor by trade and this is my busy season, and i have a garden and stuff going so im a little bit busy at the moment, but i will try to get some drawing done soon. I just always wanted to come to the slabs so bad i thought it would be really cool to have some art made by some people there. I live on the east coast so it would be a real stretch, but someday im gonna get there!

I've been focusing on canvas art, sculpture and collages.
ok, thats cool. I would like to trade with someone in the slabs though, that would be awesome.
I'm down

Kerosene and books are a bad idea. They just don't belong together. Just my thought.
How do you think they lit libraries before electricity?
I'm just saying. I think maybe a solar powered light system might be better. I'd hate to see the place go up.
