Another really good video! Not many videos show avocados rooting. I've tried it a couple of times, but they haven't been successful so far. I got callus tissue to develop, but it eventually failed and never grew any roots. I will give it another go in the future 🤞
I'm from the West Indies too. I don't know any of my plant friends who's been succat rooting avocados or mangoes from cuttings. Simmons, Lula, Wilson, Choquette are some of the main avocado varieties here. Can you show us how you prepare your substrate? It looks very fluffy & loose perfect for encouraging young healthy roots. Also what rooting powder/ gel do you use?
Thank you for your comment. I think you'll have a higher success rate if you take cuttings using the method introduced in this video. Make sure to use sterile or fertilizer-free soil. I didn't use any plant hormones. In Japan, it's not recommended to use plant hormones such as auxin on avocados. Daily watering is important. my japanese channel is here www.youtube.com/@avocado_japan voice is japanese only sorry.
Thank you for your comment. We use Japanese soil called Kanuma soil. Higher humidity is better. By watering frequently, we think we can maintain a humidity level of over 80%.
I want to take the GEM avocado variety to Japan. It's Hass' great granddaughter. See you soon ✌️🥑
I am enjoying the English versions of these videos. Looking forward to more. Thanks from Australia.
Thank you sooo much for your comment from Australia.
I thank you for making this video. It's so informative. I will start grafting and plant a tree.

Higher humidity is better.
By watering frequently, we think we can maintain a humidity level of over 80%.
It appears that you also cut thel leaves too.
Some of cuttings in the video seem to look like avocado cuttings. Is it correct? I thought propagating avocado plant from cuttings is not possible.
you can do propagating avocado.
Do you root cuttings in water as well? I want to learn more about it too.
We have not experienced water cuttings.
I want to try someday.
