    I know it's six years on and you may not even own this bike anymore, but I just gotta say: this is sick!
    My wife just bought her first bike. An 86 450 Rebel. You've given us a bunch of great ideas for mods

    In my opinion this is my favorite bobber on TH-cam! Believe me, I have watched them all. I love you style and creativity. A lot of my inspiration to build a Rebel bobber came from you and your bobber. Hope you’re still building. Take care and God bless.

    Hey, man . Nice mod. I'm thinking of cutting my exhaust the same way. Was just wonderin: is there an inner pipe in the exhaust? And if so, what did you do with it when you cut your exhaust? I have the stock exhaust and the muffler seems to have some sort of inner pipe in it.

    • @ogleatvogel
      @ogleatvogel  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It's been years but I think that's why I cut it in this spot that I show. I think the inner pipe you are talking about is actually the baffle for the muffler. If you cut it about where I did you get rid of all that. I'm 400 feet above sea level and the jetting was perfect after this, didnt have to fool with a thing.

    Those *EMGO shorties...* Is there only one side (the right one) and if you want and for the left then you turn it or you can buy two separate for each side? Like there is a right side and a left side?

    • @ogleatvogel
      @ogleatvogel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's been a while but yes it should be the same part number for both. So you just buy two of the same thing

      @@ogleatvogel Another question, that I'm afraid won't have a good answer.
      I found a *125 Rebel,* a used one and in good condition, but it doesn't have its genuine (stock) exhausts. It has some *MotorSport* exhausts which look like the genuine ones, but the mufflers differ a bit. Do you know if the *diameter* of the *necks* of these exhausts is the same as the *necks* of the genuine exhausts?
      This question is because if I get this bike, I would like to put on either the *exhaust kit* from *Blue Collar Bobbers* or these *EMGO shorties,* but first I must learn if the necks of these *MotorSport* exhausts are different or if are the same as the genuine ones.

    got myself a 250 rebel 85. its bobbed out. chopped the pipes. runs choppy now around mid throttle. did you have yours straight piped? any idea on jetting i should do? i think that should help.

    • @ogleatvogel
      @ogleatvogel  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You could try putting some sort of baffle on it to help with back pressure so it isn't so lean. Mine has the baffles in it but no steel wool. If turning the air/gas mixture screws (located next the idle screw on a 450) doesn't help enough then i'd buy the next size jet kit and switch it out. Best way to tell if it is running lean is pull the spark plug and examine it.

    • @ogleatvogel
      @ogleatvogel  8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I just pulled it with my hands. it helped that I bobbed the fender a little. The shorter the fender the easier it is to pull apart.
