These episodes before the wedding and after one more time prove how great Ross actually was. How worried he is here for Monica and Chandler, and how he didn't want Monica to find out about Chandler being gone, because he didn't want to scare her and he wanted to help Chandler, both of them. Also, his strategy of small steps was so smart and helpful! Ross is just such a great friend and big brother! And how happy he was when he thought Monica&Chandler are pregnant (not knowing abt the whole pregnancy misunderstanding& not knowing it's actually about his and Rachel's baby). This is why I always loved him and I hate how people often only nitpick his mistakes instead of looking at the whole picture - his positives and great things he did (as if we all humans never made mistakes, and as if all the characters in this show never made mistakes and had no flaws). Ross was great and my fav! 🥰
Sorry, but the fact that Chandler run away just before the wedding and wanted to stay there was awful. How could he do that to Monica?! he acted terrible here.
I don't think anyone disagrees he did a terrible thing. But that doesn't mean he's a terrible person. He had issues. And he got helped with those issues.
I guess, but it's just typical storytelling, to have a problem/challenge that needs to be overcome that puts the audience in doubt a little bit before the happy ending. And it's also in character for Chandler, being scared of commitment and not enjoying family life were character traits of Chandler since day 1. In Ross and Emily's wedding they had the building being knocked down and them almost calling off the wedding. At Phoebe and Mike's wedding they had the drama with Monica and the snow storm almost stopping the wedding. At Carol and Susan's wedding the wedding was almost stopped because Carol's parents didn't approve and Carol wasn't sure she wanted to do it anymore.
I think... Monica had the right to know... I wouldn’t want to marry someone who just freaked out... Clearly he wasnt ready and just agreed cause he thought Monica was pregnant.

I love how Ross helped and guided Chandler to calm down before the wedding. He deserved to be the Best Man.

i think he just didn't want Monica to deal with the same stuff his family had to deal with since he thinks the Bings are prone to have bad marriages
