I agree with the Native plugins, I got both the acoustic program "picked acoustic" in the past for $100 and "Sunburst Electric" -just bought today at 50% off for $50- and I really like the acoustic sounds. After seeing your next video on keyboard plug ins they sounded cool. A while back I got the Keyscape plug in and I love it. It brought back the real sound of my old Fender Rhodes like no one has ever come up with anywhere else....and of course the real pianos. Now I have the Modx8+ so I feel I have everything I need (including the newest Logic Pro) to record all I need. I will play at churches live with a back up band recording behind me. Thumbs up for your time helping people out with your videos!
Nice! It really sounds like you have everything you need, especially with the Modx8. Anything else you get is just for fun. Glad you're liking the content, and hope you stick around for what else I have in store.
Yeah, I remember when they used to suck. Now they don't, and they're so accessible too. What a time to be alive. Thanks for watching and I hope you have fun with whatever virtual guitar you're using.
They still sound like keyboards to me. They've figured out bass, drums, amp emulators with midi plug ins ... but guitar? Nope, ain't there yet. Not to my ears anyway.
Thank you so much for mentioning the free one! I had no idea about Spitfire Labs. There's so much there to play with, which is really helpful for people like me who are on a budget. I seriously appreciate it!
Not a problem! I feel like Spitfire Labs is always gonna make it on my plugin round up videos. I'm constantly surprised at how often Labs adds another new instrument. Hope you have a lot of fun with them. And thanks again for watching/commenting!
For sure, I love to show all kinds of guitar plugins. Each guitar VST is usually made with a specific purpose in mind, so I find it helpful to categorize and show what’s available out there.
That Peel Guitar from Spitfire sounds dope. I might have to use it for some of the post rock stuff I’m making since I’m horrible at lead playing on my electric.
Yeah it's a solid one, and it's free! I think there's another electric guitar in the Labs collection, so give that a go too. It might be better suited for the genre you're working on.
Dude. Wait for MODO. That is coming sooner or later. Only a question of when and it will render everything aside from maybe anything from the Shreddage and Orange Tree guitar line obsolete.
Yes! I just saw that V2 was released, it looks amazing and intimidating all at once. I'll see if I can get a copy of that because what they're doing is really creative and cutting edge.
@@ThisIsOnesto The most important changes in my opinion are all free for anyone (though one is only free for a limited time) It is seriously the best value for free for mixing or creative tools I have seen out there.
@@lawinter1949 ohhhh, I see what you're talking about with Snapheap and their essentials. It's insane that they're for free. I'm gonna download them for sure, and very possibly make a video about them haha! Thanks for the heads up.
What guitar vst would you recommend for mainly making r&b, lofi and indie pop sounds but also can emulate a finger tapping style? Ichika Nito has the sort of sound I’m looking for, but he uses, yknow, an actual guitar 🥴 I’ve been saving up for one but I’m not sure which one would suit what I’m looking for the best
Hey! Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I think a guitar you'd be interested in is Electric Mint from Native Instruments. It can definitely give you those lofi and indie pop tones. For the finger tapping style, right now I can't think of a guitar that'll make you sound like Ichika Nito. However, he's part god, so that's probably why. I made a video about electric mint that shows you what it can do: th-cam.com/video/SDk1tCE9V34/w-d-xo.html
@@ThisIsOnesto thank you so much for replying!! yeah nito is on another level, i haven't found anything that can replicate that technique yet. that's really helpful i'll check it out !!
Thank you... I have a prerecorded acoustic guitar audio. Is it possible to use effects on this recording using VST or any other software to make it sound better.
That’s a great question. You can definitely use plugins on your prerecorded acoustic guitar. I would first start with plugins that would help clean up your acoustic guitar. So things like EQs, compressors, and anything else that helps clean up your audio. From there I would send the sound to effects plugins. For acoustic guitar, I would try spatial effects like reverb and delay. That’s just me throwing out some quick ideas, but YES please combine your acoustic guitar audio with plugins.
I bought the electric sunburst deluxe and when I play the midi mode there are some noisy picks, it's that normal or it's just me? And how do I fix that?
Great question, I don’t believe aftertouch will work with these guitars with the Rise 2. I would check out Electric Mint from Native Instruments and I also think there’s a couple of good guitars in the Roli Synth, I forget what it’s called but I remember using one there. Pigments from ARTURIA is MPE compatible so I’m sure you can find some good guitars there too. Hope this helps! Thanks for watching.
As long as you get a keyboard with Aftertouch, you should be good. More and more MIDI keyboards are including this feature, so it should be easier to find. If you want a good entry keyboard I recommend the M32 from Native Instruments. It has aftertouch and lots of great integration with your DAW and NI products.
That's a good question. I believe all these plugins should work inside of Garageband. To learn how to use each one in garageband, I would imagine that it's how you typically use other third-party plugins. Maybe this article can help: support.apple.com/guide/garageband/use-audio-units-plug-ins-gbnde06a4e4d/mac
Woah, that's way more than it's supposed to be. I believe the base installation is around 2GB, and then any samplers and instruments you download increases that amount, but you can choose to install those samples on an external hard drive. If I had to guess what you're seeing it at 74GB is because you may have downloaded entire Lines instead of individual samplers and instruments. I hope that helps!
Thanks for watching What other kinds of plugin roundups should I do next?
Pedal steel Guitar Thank you.
how can i download for free
