- A few photographs of Helen Keller, the famous deaf and blind writer and social activist. I colorized them using a free photo-coloring program. The music is called "Music for Awhile", By Henry Purcell. Year - 1692. Lyrics -"Music for awhile. Shall all your cares beguile. Wondering how your cares were eased. And disdaining to be pleased. Til Alecto free the dead from their eternal bands. Til the snakes drop from her head. And the whip, the whip out her hands. Music...music for awhile. Shall all your cares beguile.

She was such a courageous and outstanding women, she managed to break down sooooo many barriers and did soooo much for the blind, deaf and mutes in the world, yet so many people of today, know nothing about her, such a shame, and Annie Sullivan was with her all the way, never giving up on her, unlike her parents/or her father at least!!!!!

After I got to know Helen Keller I came to appreciate her, how much she struggled and how dedicated she was to the world. She is a hero to those less fortunate. Thank you for sharing.,,,,

Helen Keller was a member of my church the New Church of Jerusalem which is based on the teachings of Emmanuel Swedenborg. I read Helen Keller's book Light in my Darkness and Helen Keller wrote other books too. I so wish I could have met Helen Keller, but unfortunately she died before I was born🌹🌹. And these pictures show what kind of beautiful person Helen Keller💐🌹 was and I never knew that she liked dogs so much 🐶🐶!!!! Helen Keller was an amazing person😃😃✨✨ and I've always admired her✨✨🤗🤗!!!

@@IamHelenKeller For me, "colorized" means exactly that. There was a heightened reality in the photo with the color; I didn't look for "naturalness" in the tones. You do brilliant work, Helen!

Hi Anne. Thanks for the kind words. Actually...I think some of the photos turned out reasonably well, but others seem a bit too "Pink in the face." Which I didn't really notice until after I had already posted the video on youtube. I think there was probably a way to tone down the color, if I had wanted to edit the photos. But I was feeling a bit lazy...so I didn't bother. Anyway, not much is going on here. I recently finished a book called"Queen Victoria's Granddaughters.Which was fairly interesting to learn about her numerous granddaughters. Including "Ducky, and "Mossy...and "Baby Bee" and of course Alix and Ella, .Etc... And I also read "The Romanov's at Sea". About the evacuation by ship of the Dowager Empress Marie and various other surviving Romanov relatives from the Crimea in 1919. Now I'm reading "Six Years at the Russian Court. By the Romanov children's governess Margaretta Eager. Published in 1906. It's Okay...but it's what you might call a light "Puff-Piece". Because she got permission from Empress Alexandra to publish it. And I think Alix even reviewed the book BEFORE it was published. So needless to to say, there's nothing very revealing or controversial contained in the book. I read the book years ago On-line.. But I recently ordered the actual book from amazon because I always find it more comfortable and pleasant to read a real book instead of on-line books. Margaretta Eager is an interesting character. She had to be" let go" in 1904 because England sided with Japan during the war between Japan and Russia. Alex actually tried to keep her, but they couldn't let a brit, even an Irish one ,remain. at that time. The girls got their Irish accents from her! 😂 Also, eventually the Brit magazines told Eager no more stories because though her stories,the Russian Grand Duchess were becoming more popular than the home grown princesses! Lol. I believe the girls were still in touch with her up to WW1! Happy Holidays and warm wishes my friend!
@@blessOTMA Well. I guess it didn't really help that much for the Romanovs to be related to the English royals, because England didn't seem to show much support for Russia in most cases. England seemed jealous and always seemed to be competing for influence etc.... Yes... I've heard that the girls were starting to get an Irish accent...and it wasn't considered to be very "fashionable" LOl😮 I've been looking on Amazon for some new Romanov books to read...but I haven't decided which ones to buy yet. I also like to read diaries or biographies of the Victorians living in Egypt or India in the late 1800's. Anyway, Not much happening here. Just the usual.
