At first i understood it was just cosmetics, which would have been totally fine.

I guess they mean "souveraigns" with that. So you dont have to be top of the leaderboard, just reach a certain amount of 8s to buy the purple weapons on the black market.
I was thinking of something like a raid, like you and 10-20 players fighting a leviathan ship but first you go through a fleet of enemies maybe even a pirate owned fort then the final boss would be the leviathan ship, of course this would be a great thing to add after the large ships come out like the Man o war and all that other stuff.
Imagine, if in future we could have a season with Jack Sparrow or Davy Jones like a big event 🔥🔥🔥. Davy can be a big Boss on world map, spawning only in weekend and to kill him, we need a whole fleet. Something like 10-16 players vs One Davy Jones on the big ugly Flying Dutchman ☠
I think it’s very funny how when the game first came out people were complaining and saying jokes like “skull and bare bones XD” but now that an update came out everyone changed their mind like bruh this is why you just wait for updates before complaining

Raids, player marketplace, in person island puzzles, personal fleet, trophy and better hunting, walk in ship and access to helm there, weapon customisation etc so much can still be added to the game
@@6Vlad6Tepes6 whether it's a pirate or a ship game, being able to admire your ship that way should be considered with future updates. I have fun in the free trial right now and consider buying the full game but with bigger ships promised down the line, it would be a shame not to be able to explore its crevasses like the crew's living quarters. It could even be exclusive to when you are preparing your ship/in the safe zone.

I can't wait for the update. But please,please and please, dont make your players sail the ship and go bang bang all the way around in game like that is the ONLY THING that we could do. Have you even realised that you guys create emoji and posing kind of thing, but it doesn't have any use at all? Players just dont interact with each other while they're on the island unless they are friends playing together. I know that you dont have any plan to include land combat in this game. But at least: 1) please let us boarding enemies or friend's ship so that our "Captain" can be more functional and socialable instead of doing boring chores on the land. 2) please let us use our "Captain" in some way that we could really use. Give players access their own Captain's Quaters so that players can really "feel" their ship. Easy word, Please make our ship space more explorable. Make us feel like a real CAPTAIN!!! This game can be good enough even though the game doesnt have the land combat.. but at least, make it more focus on ship. Currently, the game doesn't have in depth and doesn't feel like Quad A at all. But I still bought it, with hope that you can give it major tweaks and it can be good in the future. I still love the gameplay, sea combat,the helm and empire system, pvp system. Seriously, you guys done a goodjob in that thing. I'm not like those haters that always comparing S&B with AC non stop. Emoji in most games don't have a real use mechanic only a few do like fable, sims anyways there's a big reason why they don't have you able to walk around your ship! One is how it's a online multiplayer game meaning during pvp events etc players can destroy your ship sure in Pve they can't but NPCs can.

The base game is more like a story mode tutorial. After the 'final' mission, the Helm will ease you in and teach you how to play Skull and Bones mobile...

I really think this game would of found some serious success if they opted to make it free to play. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. But I already had Ubisoft plus. I can’t imagine people being pleased by the 70 dollar price tag. It’s more of an open world “World of warships” than an open world pirate rpg. That price tag creates expectations and invites unfavorable comparisons to black flag. Ultimately the attempt to recoup some of the costs of this 11+ year development only further hurts the game, it’s sales potential, and it’s reputation.

Me too, and it made me remember that many people have rose tinted glasses when looking at black flag. Yes, it was an awesome pirate simulator, but I think so many of the systems and features wouldn't work well in a naval focused game like skull and bones, like the boarding fights. I do wish there was more to do on the land though, as well as more variations with ship equipment.
The more advertisement goes around for Skull and Bones, more players play Assassins Creed Black Flag specially for the first time. It's truly amazing what's happening here 😂🤷

Black Flag is a very different game. Good in its own right but not an amazing assassin's creed or a particular in-depth ship game. Jack of all traits master of none.

Please fix the leaderboard, you can not tell me people are over 1million helm score in less then a week doing it legit. Just the amount of silver needed to fund that would be impossible to get legitimately this quickly
Some people have no job, or they are streamers who do gaming as their job. So some people can just grind non-stop. Silver is super easy to get. Within the last open beta i made over 1 million in 2 days without even really focussing on making money. Just sink a lot of ships and sell commendations at a profit.
If you enjoyed Anno 1800, you'll love Skull and Bones as it shares many elements of Anno in its structure - gathering, trade routes, warehouses, however the focus this time is around ship combat and customization.
Skull and Bones has taught me that the 'A' rating system for games is like batteries --the more 'A's it has, the smaller and worse it is. AAAA - Skull and Bones, AA - Helldivers. Checks out.
We need more ships of a larger class, and not these boats with sails, where there are three-decker ships, where there are frigates, we need a larger map, this is a mockery, to release it in 10 years, and 200 million dollars later, the same content in terms of the scale of both ships and maps as in Black Flag. It feels like the game’s budget has been stolen for these 10 years, and for the remaining last 1 million, and within a year, they did this.Shareholders need to conduct an internal investigation for negligence and theft of funds allocated for the creation of the game, since both phenomena are evident here

The ballistic is impressive, all weapons have their own gameplay, all ships have their own way to be effective at things like Tank / DPS /Support, which is quite refreshing for this kind of game. You'll have to gear up your ship properly if you want to be successful. You'll fight everytime, everywhere, there's very little downtime while sailing on the high seas and both PvP and PvE lategame events are quite demanding. In Skull & Bones, you'll feel sweaty when you have a Legendary Chest in your cargo and 8 human players chasing you to get it and that's what this game is all about, Massively Multiplayer Online Naval Combat Game but I guess you would have understand it if you ever have played it for a few hours. It's not meant to be AC, it's not meant to be SoT, it's not meant to be historically accurate, it's not a "colourful ship simulator", it's Skull & Bones, an all original game which has his own flaws but can't be compared to what it's not.
Really enjoying this game. It’s not my usual type of game but playing with a full team is a blast. Look forward to the season and some surprises along the way.

I think one thing that you should be able to do other then just finding where treasure maps are is just fighting other players. But I can also see that being crazy toxic with time
Maybe it's just me, but when i'm sailing (trimming) it feels like the game purposely changes the wind direction to blown against me to slow me down. Is this happening to anyone else?
don't buy this game, you get dropped into shitty near empty maps with only 1-2 player sightings every 40 minutes or so.. everyone ignores your requests for help. and just does there own things like hermit dredges.
The worst you guys have done to this game is! Some plays the game for 4-5 days he can be kingpin and do nothing after.you have to slow down the exp and farm as there are lots of exploits and bugs you never close them. Others games is fantastic great work in 11 years and we have just a demo to play for 70+ $$$ we all thank you
It's kind of weird also that the full release only has a few ships that are accessible and are only small/medium ships. Seen a lot of copies of the same ship types around like Brigantine and Sambuk. I don't see why they could've just added ships from previous frameworks and integrate it to their current framework on release or just give us access to ships NPC's have as well to at least give variety.

I highly doubt it will be this strict. it will most likely be in the style of the division, where you have to get points by doing seasonal content and you climb leaderboards in that way, while also getting new equipment available to a lot of people. It's not just the top 1% .

10 years of waiting and hoping and celebrating, only to notify, that the best ship there is, is the ship that i sailed 200+ hours in assasins creed black flag…. not only this, but it is the biggest ship as well. in 10 (!) years it wasnt possible to create 1 big ship… i bet there are a few of them, but for the start of a game mainly focused on naval warfare, a brigantine wasn‘t what i was expecting…
Considering every ship is labeled small or medium, its clear there will be large ones down the road. Plus they confirmed this last night, but I am dissappointed theres no man o war for season 1
It makes sense that a nobody pirate doesn't get a hold of a massive ship that fast. Anyway, the players will get more than one big ship eventually, as it's clear that that was always the plan. But be ready to still use the medium ones sometimes if you intend to travel on most rivers (just like the boat needs to be used sometimes).
i like the idea of big ships being restricted to certain kind of area like you said. but why the wait? in my opinion it really extends the wait too much. another 100 days + to get access to the full game? how much do they want this game to flop? 🙈 right now there are too many people already leaving the game because of no endgame content except collecting your pieces of eight the same travel route over and over again. its like going on the same hike 3-4 times a day, after 2-3 days you‘ve seen enough… even your dog would not take the same route every single time he leaves the house…

@@Flodscho Because this is not a game to live in 24/7, nor an MMO, and the devs never hid this fact. I got almost 60 hours of relaxing playtime in the game as it currently is and I barely touched the PoE content (not my thing, and I agree with you that it needs several QoL features to make it not a chore), so I got more fun out of it than from many other games out there. Moreover, I know that I can play it whenever I want to relax sailing around or shooting stuff from my ships, and that I'll be able to come back several times during the year as they update it with the new permanent and seasonal content. Like today, for example. And if I get bored, or if I just want to play something else, I can jump to other games and play them instead, until I want to play S&B again. In regards to the big ships, just because some players got rich that doesn't mean that such a fact should affect the way the game's story progresses. Otherwise, plenty of us should be able to overthrown entire countries just by buying a massive fleet with our coin.
I am sure they are planning to add content. Look the road map. Also I agree big ships and more npc and story would be great. They could improve on character customization because the faces now arent much appealing.

I was listening to what everybody said on the bad review spectrum. And then played the game and got addicted to it, I like the ship only battles, have played sea of thieves for years don't care for it. Will say this though, if you play a lot it doesn't take very long to have everything in silver, now it's all about the black market getting the pieces of eight for the blueprints that you can only get from there. I'm hoping that this season keeps my attention otherwise I'll be playing different games more often than this one
I felt so sorry for the developers when Yves Guillemot called it a "AAAA game". I bet they all just cringed themselves out of existence when he said that. Also, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is going to be an absolute shitshow if it even releases. Same as this, it will have been in development for too long that it looks slightly outdated due to only being able to go so far with engine updates each year it falls behind schedule. Duke Nukem Forever, Skull and Bones, Starfield (although I still love it!) are all victims of this.
I would suggest getting the premium Ubisoft plus subscription as you get lots of Ubisoft titles which are mostly over 50 dollars each so it's a big save if you want to get into the Assassin's creed series

I’m enjoying the game, I would love to see more sea monsters fight as endgame for pve player but a lot of sea monsters with hard mechanic that make us really use the tank and healer ship. Some ideals if you see this msg are giant kraken, megalodon shark, a giant from Atlantic city lol, giant lobster making wave. Beautiful siren controlling ours ship to dangers boom, giant water snake making whirlpool, a frozen war ship that freeze anything that it touch with area effect and so more much monsters you can make with lol. 😅😅

Yeah facts, the armour is cool but should def have an option to make them invisible. Just makes the ships less clean/matching with the armour on

Won't work in this world, Pirates of the Caribbean belongs in Sea of Thieves. This game is more in the lines of Black Sails.

@@6Vlad6Tepes6 whether it's a pirate or a ship game, being able to admire your ship that way should be considered with future updates. I have fun in the free trial right now and consider buying the full game but with bigger ships promised down the line, it would be a shame not to be able to explore its crevasses like the crew's living quarters. It could even be exclusive to when you are preparing your ship/in the safe zone.

I can't wait for the update. But please,please and please, dont make your players sail the ship and go bang bang all the way around in game like that is the ONLY THING that we could do. Have you even realised that you guys create emoji and posing kind of thing, but it doesn't have any use at all? Players just dont interact with each other while they're on the island unless they are friends playing together.
I know that you dont have any plan to include land combat in this game. But at least:
1) please let us boarding enemies or friend's ship so that our "Captain" can be more functional and socialable instead of doing boring chores on the land.
2) please let us use our "Captain" in some way that we could really use. Give players access their own Captain's Quaters so that players can really "feel" their ship.

This game can be good enough even though the game doesnt have the land combat.. but at least, make it more focus on ship. Currently, the game doesn't have in depth and doesn't feel like Quad A at all. But I still bought it, with hope that you can give it major tweaks and it can be good in the future.

Emoji in most games don't have a real use mechanic only a few do like fable, sims anyways there's a big reason why they don't have you able to walk around your ship! One is how it's a online multiplayer game meaning during pvp events etc players can destroy your ship sure in Pve they can't but NPCs can.

I really think this game would of found some serious success if they opted to make it free to play. I’ve been having a lot of fun with it. But I already had Ubisoft plus. I can’t imagine people being pleased by the 70 dollar price tag. It’s more of an open world “World of warships” than an open world pirate rpg. That price tag creates expectations and invites unfavorable comparisons to black flag. Ultimately the attempt to recoup some of the costs of this 11+ year development only further hurts the game, it’s sales potential, and it’s reputation.

Yes, it was an awesome pirate simulator, but I think so many of the systems and features wouldn't work well in a naval focused game like skull and bones, like the boarding fights. I do wish there was more to do on the land though, as well as more variations with ship equipment.
The more advertisement goes around for Skull and Bones, more players play Assassins Creed Black Flag specially for the first time. It's truly amazing what's happening here 😂🤷

Black Flag is a very different game. Good in its own right but not an amazing assassin's creed or a particular in-depth ship game. Jack of all traits master of none.

Silver is super easy to get. Within the last open beta i made over 1 million in 2 days without even really focussing on making money.

Skull and Bones has taught me that the 'A' rating system for games is like batteries --the more 'A's it has, the smaller and worse it is. AAAA - Skull and Bones, AA - Helldivers. Checks out.

We need more ships of a larger class, and not these boats with sails, where there are three-decker ships, where there are frigates, we need a larger map, this is a mockery, to release it in 10 years, and 200 million dollars later, the same content in terms of the scale of both ships and maps as in Black Flag. It feels like the game’s budget has been stolen for these 10 years, and for the remaining last 1 million, and within a year, they did this.Shareholders need to conduct an internal investigation for negligence and theft of funds allocated for the creation of the game, since both phenomena are evident here

Also, using the word "abusing" without providing any context at all, makes it sound worse and can take things out of proportion for those who are not aware, such as making it sound like ubisoft was involved in something criminal. Yes, they were terrible at the corporate level, trying to rewrite/restart the game development or just being completely lost in the process, and now the game and devs are paying for it, which is messed up and unfair for them of course. So yes, that can be considered abusing the dev team, but please provide context next time.
The game wasnt made because of the Singapore investment obligation, it was only released at this point in time because of it. They reached a deadline, and the game wouldve released in a better state long ago if not for the development hell that it suffered.

It's a MMO Naval Combat game set in a pirate universe. It would make absolutely no sense to have a boarding mecanic since it would take way too many time to complete while your ship is vulnerable to others.

Since I've enjoyed both AC:Black Flag and Skull & Bones, let me get this straight, the Naval Combat has been waaaaay improved for Skull & Bones.
The ballistic is impressive, all weapons have their own gameplay, all ships have their own way to be effective at things like Tank / DPS /Support, which is quite refreshing for this kind of game.
You'll have to gear up your ship properly if you want to be successful. You'll fight everytime, everywhere, there's very little downtime while sailing on the high seas and both PvP and PvE lategame events are quite demanding.
In Skull & Bones, you'll feel sweaty when you have a Legendary Chest in your cargo and 8 human players chasing you to get it and that's what this game is all about, Massively Multiplayer Online Naval Combat Game but I guess you would have understand it if you ever have played it for a few hours.
It's not meant to be AC, it's not meant to be SoT, it's not meant to be historically accurate, it's not a "colourful ship simulator", it's Skull & Bones, an all original game which has his own flaws but can't be compared to what it's not.

don't buy this game, you get dropped into shitty near empty maps with only 1-2 player sightings every 40 minutes or so.. everyone ignores your requests for help. and just does there own things like hermit dredges.
The worst you guys have done to this game is! Some plays the game for 4-5 days he can be kingpin and do nothing after.you have to slow down the exp and farm as there are lots of exploits and bugs you never close them.
Others games is fantastic great work in 11 years and we have just a demo to play for 70+ $$$ we all thank you

It's kind of weird also that the full release only has a few ships that are accessible and are only small/medium ships. Seen a lot of copies of the same ship types around like Brigantine and Sambuk. I don't see why they could've just added ships from previous frameworks and integrate it to their current framework on release or just give us access to ships NPC's have as well to at least give variety.

I highly doubt it will be this strict. it will most likely be in the style of the division, where you have to get points by doing seasonal content and you climb leaderboards in that way, while also getting new equipment available to a lot of people. It's not just the top 1% .

10 years of waiting and hoping and celebrating, only to notify, that the best ship there is, is the ship that i sailed 200+ hours in assasins creed black flag…. not only this, but it is the biggest ship as well.

It makes sense that a nobody pirate doesn't get a hold of a massive ship that fast. Anyway, the players will get more than one big ship eventually, as it's clear that that was always the plan. But be ready to still use the medium ones sometimes if you intend to travel on most rivers (just like the boat needs to be used sometimes).

@@Flodscho Because this is not a game to live in 24/7, nor an MMO, and the devs never hid this fact. I got almost 60 hours of relaxing playtime in the game as it currently is and I barely touched the PoE content (not my thing, and I agree with you that it needs several QoL features to make it not a chore), so I got more fun out of it than from many other games out there. Moreover, I know that I can play it whenever I want to relax sailing around or shooting stuff from my ships, and that I'll be able to come back several times during the year as they update it with the new permanent and seasonal content. Like today, for example. And if I get bored, or if I just want to play something else, I can jump to other games and play them instead, until I want to play S&B again.
In regards to the big ships, just because some players got rich that doesn't mean that such a fact should affect the way the game's story progresses. Otherwise, plenty of us should be able to overthrown entire countries just by buying a massive fleet with our coin.

I was listening to what everybody said on the bad review spectrum. And then played the game and got addicted to it, I like the ship only battles, have played sea of thieves for years don't care for it. Will say this though, if you play a lot it doesn't take very long to have everything in silver, now it's all about the black market getting the pieces of eight for the blueprints that you can only get from there. I'm hoping that this season keeps my attention otherwise I'll be playing different games more often than this one
This game is actually fun!! But I do wish I could explore on foot, since you do customize your pirate 🏴☠️!!!

I felt so sorry for the developers when Yves Guillemot called it a "AAAA game". I bet they all just cringed themselves out of existence when he said that. Also, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is going to be an absolute shitshow if it even releases. Same as this, it will have been in development for too long that it looks slightly outdated due to only being able to go so far with engine updates each year it falls behind schedule. Duke Nukem Forever, Skull and Bones, Starfield (although I still love it!) are all victims of this.
So where is the game play?

I would suggest getting the premium Ubisoft plus subscription as you get lots of Ubisoft titles which are mostly over 50 dollars each so it's a big save if you want to get into the Assassin's creed series
It would be better if you put all that money and time into remastering Black Flag

@@1kulik “Take the Helm”. I can’t start this quest approach to the supply map, it says to me “complete Yanita’s task first.” This bug was encountered on redit by other people
@@1kulikguys, I'm in despair, I did everything that depended on me, I talked with players and streamers and they said that this was really a bug with no analogous solution, I waited a week for a response from Ubisoft and all they said was “create another request if the problem still exists”

I’m enjoying the game, I would love to see more sea monsters fight as endgame for pve player but a lot of sea monsters with hard mechanic that make us really use the tank and healer ship. Some ideals if you see this msg are giant kraken, megalodon shark, a giant from Atlantic city lol, giant lobster making wave. Beautiful siren controlling ours ship to dangers boom, giant water snake making whirlpool, a frozen war ship that freeze anything that it touch with area effect and so more much monsters you can make with lol. 😅😅
This first season looks amazing so glad I jumped on this too get a head start and leveling up 😂 that infected pirate looks to be deadly 😅
