while i despise the xmen movies... i deeply enjoyed this video! the reason Jean has died so many times, is because she had to experience death to full understand the full cycle of what the Phoenix is (creation, destruction, life, death and Rebirth). and for those who hang onto the fact that "magneto" (actually it was Xorn) killed her, it was actually the Phoenix who wanted her to die so that Jean could be resurrection a couple hundred years in the future to saved the universe (days of future past universe was killing 616 i think, thats what they issue was). Jean had actually dropped her deffenses in order to die for Phoenix
"She will rise again" Jean Grey is the physical manifestation of Phoenix force. Not only does she often make copies of Jean to transfer her soul into it but in the event there’s none Phoenix will resurrect Jean from the white hot room. From where they can then decide to reboot that universe or burn it away and move on to another. Phoenix is described as "the embers of creation & the fire that burns away everything" it is quite literally the begining AND the end.
