I love that Clark is such a nerd its awesome! Like, he grew up as a human, with human experiences. He probably watched the OG Star Wars on VHS or something! I'm jealous my dad got to see the very first version of the OG Star Wars, before they changed the cgi and whatnot.
@@CrossOutBryce And even with that said in the last episode before his heart started acting up when they were flying clark was dusting him in flying speed.
It's strange seeing Jon freak out about going into danger but Jordan keep his head, maybe there will be a moment when Jon is in danger and superman won't be able to help, and that will bring Jordan back.
@MrNelahem even when jordan entered dangerous situations for the first time with his powers, he seemed like he was confident enough to handle it, look at some of the situations from previous seasons for examples, those were first times for jordan too.
As someone who struggled with long term disability/illness - sometimes we just have to keep bashing our head against the wall of what we USED to be able to do even though we know in our heads that we MIGHT not be able to do them anymore. I think Clark is dealing with that now - a limit to his own mortality where he was limitless before. He'd never gotten sick before, he'd never really been super hurt. If Eps 3 was "what makes a hero: the person or the powers" I think this episode is a further exploration in what we have to overcome: our weaknesses. Clark dealing with his new heart and mortality, Chrissy and Jordan dealing with their fears, Jonathan and Lois dealing with their lack of knowledge and inexperience. You can wrap this show up in as much special effects as an episode of Stranger Things, but the heart of the show is about the more human and *real* aspects of every day life: recovery, relationships, the building blocks of our quiet moments.
I like the idea that bc he has General Lane's old heart, Superman is possibly no longer at full strength and will never come back, which could lead to him training his SUPER SONS to take over while he retires with Lois. I NEED A COMIC SERIES OUT OF THIS!! DC GET ON THIS!!
I would love for the season finale if all three need to face Doomsday. That some how someone from Gotham somehow gets a gift of Kryptonite to Lois or John Henry that’d be great.
Are we going to skip over the fact Clark took 2 massive fire cannons to the chest and didn't even flinch? .. led me to believe that he's slowly getting back.
@@MrNelahem Fire is nothing to normal Superman but he clearly is still not quite himself yet. But since it was "just fire", I don't understand how Jon was defeated by it. Jon seems to have so much control over his powers so far I figure a fire shouldn't bother him at all.
@@carytakagawa2760 even is his current state he was going mach 2 crashed and has zero scratches wasn't worried about the fire at all. And it maybe a mental thing with john he hasn't had his power a month yet doesn't know his limits or what can hurt him.
I have managed to watch the episodes in full now but I had to come here and watch your reaction - I really enjoy your commentary 😊 You really feel the emotion of the show ❤
I'm upset they asked to end this show bc they didnt want two supermans (gunn's supe movie coming soon). you can tell S&L showrunners had a more plans and wanted the death of superman to be longer. I also think they had more plans for jordan's mental heath and jon's becoming the new superboy. anyway, I hope they are able to finish this show on a good note and not feel too rushed.
That's not really what happened. When the CW's ownership changed, the new owners didn't want to support the show long term. Between the show's huge budget and the licensing fees the network has to pay to WBD, they have been spending a pretty penny each season for a show whose viewership has been dwindling season by season. Though the viewership isn't the show's fault, it's gotten better every season. It's just the landscape of broadcast tv. So the CW executives greenlit a final season with a reduced budget and smaller regular cast to wrap up the show.
It was supposed to be 7 seasons and I can kinda tell. If they would've had their way, Clark probably wouldn't have woken up until the Season 4 finale. They would've used Tyler Hoechlin through flashbacks and the Fortress AI.
Best episode of the shore so far. Made this grumpy old man emotional. Opening series of shots were epic. Like the panels of a comic. My only criticism is there should have been an extra “worked without Superman” episode after he died. But they only have this season to wrap everything up, so it’s understandable.
Couple of things!! Totally agree with Clarks return being super rushed (but with this being a smaller season there wasn't enough time 😭). It was probably a few days before he was able to fly back and the funeral most likely didnt happen the very next day and more like few days at least. And 2. Sarah definitely did not need to say that shit out loud 😂
The reason why Clark comes back so fast is probably because of the budget cuts. The screentime characters like John and Nat would've naturally gotten to fill in the space left by Tyler Hoechlin's absence was significantly reduced, so Tyler had to come back sooner to fill it back up. If they had the proper budget and the proper amount of episodes, Clark would've probably stayed gone longer.
You gotta remember they only have 10 episodes so did Clark comeback fast.. yes, had this been another 15 episode season Clark probably wouldn’t have comeback until episode 7 or 8. it was emotional nonetheless, that ending Superman scene was great
Jordan's now Jon's suit has the same flaw... The moment they use laser vision the goggles are destroyed. I get they're covering their identity, but they need something else...
I cried when Clark's family rushed to embrace him when he returned because, like Lois, I lost my wife. I just wish that my wife could come back like Clark did, but she can't.
It’s rushed because this turned out to be the final season… They had planned for 7. If the showrunners and writers had their way, Clark probably wouldn’t have come back until the season finale. I’m SO upset the network decided to end this amazing show prematurely💔
I want sups dad to give him the kryptonian black healing suit and when he gets fully healed a side effect will be a spike in powers and totally one shoots Domesday taking his head clean off
Jordan’s jealousy is so stupid! Jonathan is just as much Superman’s son as he is. Jordan has his special qualities and Jonathan has his special qualities! Just be the best you can be and help your family. Jealousy will only cause a tragedy. So what if he learned to fly faster, he was already an athlete. Jordan seems to have more guts, he seems to not be afraid, which is a good quality. He is brave! Jordan just be yourself and your brother will be himself. Help your family.
Jordan wasn't jealous. Are we literally forgetting that not a second before Jonathan got his powers he said very hurtful things about Jordan ? And he meant them too no matter how much he tries to say he didn't Funny how you talk about help your family but what help did they give him these last 4 episodes ? It goes both ways.
@@GladtoberanDOM they could be doing a storyline where Superman becomes more and more Human as we get to the finale, and the boys have to take over by the end.

I agree, Clark looked a little worried during the flight part like "how is he THIS good?"
not worried, how shocked he was and even though he needs more training I think Jonathan is more powerful than him.
@@dejatwixt9214 don't think Jonathan is more powerful than his father hasn't been absorbing the sun for 30+ years.

What a crock. Jordan needs to take time for himself to figure stuff out. He isn't actually obligated to use his powers to help people.
