Catching up on all your flosstube episodes. You two are must watch. Jane as if you were not already perfect, you as well Julie. Discovering you are a fellow pluviophile elevates you further.
OMG! You two are the absolute BEST! I recently discovered you (July 2023) and I'm starting today (Sept. 4, 2023) to watch ALL your Flosstube episodes. Everything you do and talk about warms my heart, makes me smile, feeds my stitching soul (LOVE all the Shepherd's Bush), and must lower my blood pressure! Please don't ever discontinue your presentations! xxxxxxxxxxxxx
Finally found someone who loves Shepherd's Bush like I do!! I had to come back to your first episode to find out about the two of you! You both are just fabulous and funny as all get out!! I'll be binge watching all your videos! So happy to find you guys!!🎉❤🎉
I have been watching some of your videos and decided I needed to watch from the beginning! I have really enjoyed this video and look forward to watching the rest of your videos. Your stitching is amazing the hardhanger is just out of this world. Thank you for sharing! 💖
Thank you thank you thank you for the hardanger. I need more encouragement with parts of hardanger! Love love love your video. Please continue to share your knowledge.
Hi Susan. We're so glad that you like the hardanger. We love it too and I'm pretty committed to having hardanger be a part of every video. Let us know if you have specific questions or if there's a particular stitch or technique that you'd like us to talk about. I could talk hardanger all day. - jane
My favorite new saying...."nobody plans spontaneity like I do.." Love your channel. Thank you so much for sharing your talents and friendship with us all.
Hi there! I haven't seen any of your flosstube videos for awhile. I hope that you and your families are all well and that you are enjoying some well deserved time off! Love you both!
New to your channel and I like to start with #1 because I enjoy knowing a little about the person/people that I'm watching. Jane, you have to tell us more about the dirty word during Home Ec. LOL
What a fabulous floss tube!!!!! I loved it...you two are naturals!!! So warm and funny too! Loved everything you showed!!! Please keep making videos!!!! Love, Laura
Thank you so much, Laura! It was watching you and Brenda that was one of the things that brought us to this place. I hope you are having a great time at StitchCon! jane
Hi Jane and Julie! Your projects are lovely and your stories are fun. I look forward to hearing more about your 28 years of friendship and stitching adventures!
I watched your video after Sarah of Sarah’s Stitchy Spot mentioned yours as a Flosstube we must watch…..she was right! I have subscribed and now I’m going to the Shepherd’s Bush website to see what kits are available! I did crossstitch in the 80s and it seems to me that Shepherd’s Bush was one of the later companies that emerged in that era. I loved their things then and I still do! What a delightful pair you make and how beautifully you compliment one another. I look forward to watching your second video….I think I’ll watch them all!!! Carol in Texas
Hi Carol. We are so glad that you took the time to come over and watch our debut. It was so kind of Sarah to give us a mention and we really appreciate that. I hope you find something beautiful to stitch on the Shepherd's Bush site. It would be great to have a "Bush buddy". Thank you for your kind words and we hope you will join us again! - jane
Just found your site. I enjoyed seeing what you are making. I’ve got to get caught up on your next videos in the next little while. I love Shepherds Bush also, in fact I live about 45 minutes from their store and have been there often. Take care!
Jane and Julie, you are such a delight. You can feel your friendship throughout the video. The projects you both stitch are beautiful. Julie, l had always wanted to try hardanger, but am terrified of the cutting. Jane, my hubby and l are celebrating our 35th anniversary this year…June 27th in fact. Looking forward to your next video ladies. ~Pam
HI Pam. Thank you so much for your kind words. You should totally try hardanger. You and I can conquer our fear of cutting together! Happy anniversary to you and your husband. I hope you do something wonderful to celebrate. jane
Congratulations on you new endeavor Julie and Jane. Your book, "Taking the hard out of Hardanger" I call it my bible for doing such stitches. Yes, you teach the best and easiest way to do picos. I love cutting out hardanger and have done it for friends for years. Julie working on 40 ct linen isn't as hard as you think, and silks are wonderful to work with, like anything else you will have your favorites. Will be looking forward to your next video.
Came right over and watched your first video after I saw your comment. Wonderful debut. The beauty of your friendship makes this FlossTube special. Gorgeous stitching and the Hardanger is stunning. Look forward to seeing more. Congratulations.
Thanks for your kind words, Susan. Isn't it great how flosstube can make the world a bit smaller so we can connect from Minnesota to Australia? Amazing.
Friendship brings out the best in us and together you two are birds of a feather. It was fun to watch & listen to your show and tell. Cheers to the next one🐦☺
Welcome to FlossTube...Waving hello from Arizona. Jane I think you should definately break into song. That would be awesome. Maybe you could be Running with Scissors and singing a song. LOL. Julie I love the term delightful deliveries...sounds so much better than the word haul. I love it...Delightful Delivery.
Hi Cindy. Thanks for the warm welcome. Waving back to you from Minnesota where we are having Arizona like weather today. I'll be sure to do my vocal warm-ups before we do video #2 just in case I get the urge to break into song. I love the delightful delivery term too and I've been pretty "bad" so I will have quite a few to share next time. See you soon. jane
What a beautiful friendship you 2 lovely ladies have. Great 1st flosstube. I am looking forward to watching your channel grow, because it definitely will. Until next time, Happy Stitching
FYI I also suffer from tremors in my hands. My lifesaver is 80 mg extended release propranolol (inderal). My tremors have stopped. You might ask your physician about it. I also stitch in hand, which stopped the pain in my thumb joints from holding a hoop! For many years I stitched on white Hardanger with DMC because it was the smallest count fabric and the only threads available at the time! My preference now is 40 ct overdyed linens and overdyed cottons and if I could afford to buy it for everything I would, silks! I enjoyed seeing what y’all are doing! I also am a fan of Shepherds Bush!
Hi Judy. I"m so glad that the propranolol worked for you. My husband is an artist and is also taking it so he can still paint without too much tremor. Isn't silk beautiful? I am often tempted while watching flosstube videos to binge and start a silk collection, but luckily my voice of reason has stopped me from going crazy (so far). More Shepherd's Bush ahead. We'd love to see what you are stitching! jane
I’m so excited about watching you two. Gone back to the beginning. I have lots of hardanger books and one not completed project. So maybe I have found hope in learning how. Plus you are so funny and keep doing this please.
What a great introduction! It is apparent that you two have been friends a long time. I meet Julie last September at Galleria and saw her husband and granddaughter. I bought some great items on sale and bought the best grab bag full of fabric and some cute squirrel scissors. I'm looking forward to more of your videos.
ya'll are a hoot!! you were recommended byKathy and Mollie- linen and scraps video number 6... I am so glad I found you! you were a complete joy to watch.
Hi there Kathy. Thank you for your kind words. How generous it was for Molly and Kathy to mention us in their notes. A new video is coming soon. I hope you'll join us. - jane
Ok - just starting this today and almost burst out when you brought up the zipper - tried 4 times to get 1 in a skirt in home ec- I have 4 sisters and a mother who could do anything! Finding cross stitch for me was finding a home.
Omg! This was amazing! Shepard’s Bush, Hardanger, new starts and finishes?!?! YES! I’m so excited! To see you Julie and meet your friend Jane! I can’t wait to see you ladies again. And omg. Colour and Cotton. Woooooow. I am in love with everything Angela does! Thank you!!!! See you SOON (hint, hint….) 😉
Hello Jane and Julie. I loved your flosstube video. Looking forward to seeing more from you two. It is a coincidence that I have just received my chart of The Gentle Rain myself, it is beautiful!
So much fun to watch! !! I am finishing up your Today I choose Joy.....cannot wait to show it too you when it is done!!!! I too love Shepherds Bush...I have met Tina and Terri at trades shows back in the 90's (when i used to go with the shop i worked at and I also helped a designer friend) I agree they are two of the nicest ladies out there. ....can't wait to see what you guys come up with in future shows!!!!
Thank you, Margaret! I should really get Today I Choose Joy into my stash and kitted up. Please share a photo of yours when it's done. We would love to see it. jane
Great video, Ladies!!! Enjoyed your cross stitch projects and your Hardanger. I have done some Hardanger and injoyed doing it. Now just have to start a Hardanger project along with all the rest of my projects. It is great that you two are such good friends and both have a love of needle work. I am glad I stumbled upon your floss tube. Ia am looking forward to your next video. Take care Ladies!!!
Thank you, Katherine! Take the plunge and start a Hardanger project! We're here to help if you need it. Well, Julie can help - I can just send positive vibes. See you next time. jane
How beautiful! Everything, just everything...... so what are the lovelies hanging over your heads on the lavender wall? Shepherd's Bush? Your finishes are amazing, and the borders are just too perfect, I agree leaving off the bs. Jane, goodness your hardanger work, just wow! It was pure joy visiting with y'all. Can't wait for next visit. Congratulations on your #1 flosstube.
Hi Judith. Thank you so much for the warm welcome. The two pieces hanging behind us are "The Herb Gatherer" and "The Wool Gatherer" from Shepherd's Bush. When I fan girled on the phone with Tina, I begged her to design another gatherer. They really speak to me. Thank you for you kind words about my hardanger work. Julie is an awesome teacher, even if she put a thousand eyelets in the piece I'm working on. See you again soon! jane
Hi ladies! I loved your video and now have a new phrase for my videos: delightful deliveries. I love it! I used to do hardanger years ago and watching your video made me want to get back into it. I'll be looking for your book. I loved all of the projects you both showed and loved watching the interactions between you. I don't have stitchy friends in my area and love to watch the videos where two friends are filming together. Thanks so much for sharing with us!
Thank you , Tami. Doesn't "delightful deliveries" sound happier than "haul"? We hope you'll join us and pick up your hardanger again, although we will always have some cross stitch to share too. Thanks for the warm welcome.
Absolutely delightful. I have done Hardanger and you brought back happy memories. Cans wait to see some of your delightful deliveries under way especially Something’purple’. Thank you for being brave. I have also just dipped my toe into flosstube. Under same name as my comment.
Hi girls, welcome to Flosstube. Oh my, what a happy joy it was to stumble upon you two sweet friends. I came for the stitching and somehow you magically SPLASHED me with goodness (yep, it slipped right through the monitor). I think you did a marvelous job on your first video. I look forward to many more. I promise to share about you and your new channel on my next video. Happy Stitching, your new friend, Daleen
Thank you for the warm welcome and your very kind words, Daleen. It's very thoughtful and generous of you to be willing to share us with your subscribers and stitching friends. I'm so glad we made a new friend here! jane
I am so happy to find another fantastic flosstube! You are both so charming, lovely ladies with great humour. Your works are wonderful, I am a huge SB fangirl, too! I will definately come back for your next video, dear. It was a pleasure to meet you❤️❤️❤️
Hi Maja. Thank you so much for your kind words. Rumor has it I have a few SB finishes to share next time. Nice to meet you and I hope we see you soon. - jane
Hi Julie and Jane - nice to see you! I've been terrible at keeping up with my own channel....I get distracted so easily...so DON'T follow my example! LOL Thanks for sharing your goodies, and I'm looking forward to your next video.
Thank you so much, Erin! I remember the bulletin board days. I spent many an hour searching through the Shepherd's Bush bulletin boards and felt like I had found my tribe. Your channel is wonderful. I'll be binging on your videos while I stitch this afternoon. jane
Omg your work is beautiful. I’m learning it’s ok to have a few cross stitch projects. I have 2 projects almost finished and two that i started. Learn a lot. Can’t wait till the next one
I’m so glad I found your video! I love hardanger and quite a while ago I stitched your Sophie design, Julie! If you would consider doing a tutorial on picots, that would be great. I always have trouble with picots so I avoid them whenever possible :). I too love Shepherd’s Bush designs. I was lucky enough to visit their store and attend their retreat in 2018. It was exciting to actually meet them! Thanks for doing your video and look forward to many more.
Great job on your first video! Lovely projects. I’m lookin forward to learning more about hardanger (its on the bucket list). I was painting a ceiling while watching your video and actually had to drop the roller and order the Glendon Place chart! It really spoke to me! Lookin forward to the next one!
Thank you so much, Lori! Your channel is lovely. I know what I will be doing this afternoon while I stitch some of the 1,100 eyelets on Sophie - I'll be binging on your videos! jane
Hi and welcome to Flosstube! Stitching Granny of Seventeen mentioned you, so here I am watching! The two Shepherds Bush behind you both are gorgeous! I've always liked SB patterns! Jane, how very sweet of Tina to lead you straight on that pattern! Julie, can't wait to see your drum FFO'd! I'm so glad to see hardanger! I've not attempted a piece. It's so gorgeous! I've only done a tiny bit of cutwork on a sampler band. May I ask where you get your patterns for hardanger now? Nordic Needle was so awesome when Roz owned it - now it's gone forever - and the first thing I thought was "Where will hardanger stitchers get their supplies?" As you mentioned, I may not stitch a piece because it's not my taste, but I love seeing what others are stitching on. I love your playful bantering and your special bond. ❤️ Thank you for sharing! Looking forward to FT #2!
Hi Wendy. Thank you so much for the welcome! I'm still fan girling over the phone conversation with Tina. :) I was very sad when Nordic Needle closed shop. We're very fortunate to have built up a pretty large collection of their annual "Award Winning Designs" books and books from other designers so we have more patterns than we'll ever be able to stitch. We also both stitch from Julie's design collection. Julie is super lucky because she is a designer and can just design a new pattern when her heart leads her in that direction. I have seen some hardanger designers on Etsy and there are still some designs available on Julie's website. I've also seen several hardanger books on Amazon. If you decide to dip your toe in the hardanger water, please share it with us!
@@runningwithscissorsstitchi5320 oh how fortunate for Julie to be a designer! Stash is great to have and between two friends, I'm sure you have ample to share! I knew there must be other suppliers for hardanger patterns, I just didn't know the source, since I've not looked. One day I may be brave and take a dip in the hardanger pool. 🙂 Take care!
Welcome to flosstube. Good job. Just to let you know it is difficult to see the pictures of the actual patterns. I can’t suggest a solution because I have never made a video. Keep up the good work 😁👍🏼
It was great to “meet” you both…love the friendship that two you share!! Congratulations on your first video…it was great!! One minor piece of advice…could you hold items closer so we can see them better? Enjoyed seeing all the wonderful finishes, WIP’s and haul!!You mentioned something about Missouri towards the end of the video…is that where you are from?? Looking forward to your next video!!
Hi Elaine. We agree 100% that we need to change the distance to the camera so you can get an up close and personal look at the stitching and the photos of the patterns. We are from Minnesota, but Julie has taught at events in St. Charles, Missouri over the past several years and talked about the show in November so that may be where you picked that up. :) - jane
Welcome to floss tube. It’s fun but lots of work! Something else we really don’t get paid to do lol. But it’s fun getting to see and hear people we see on media. I’ve been married 41 years. Come visit my floss tube. Hopefully I will remember to give you a shout out. Going to take notes now 😂
Thank you so much for your welcome and for calling us out during your latest video. I had a great time watching your latest flosstube and will definitely be checking out your other videos!
You ladies are wonderful! I really enjoyed watching. Where are you ladies from? My guess is MN or WI. You both remind me of my aunts, in the best way possible :)
Thanks, Melissa! Yes, we are from MN. Are our midwestern accents that obvious? LOL. On top of my MN accent, I have a distinct Stearns county accent on top of it. I've lived in Mpls for 35 years and still can't shake it. :) We are flattered that we remind you of your aunts! jane
I love it! I was born and raised in Stillwater and now live up in Mille Lacs county. I lived in New England for a while and everyone always got a kick out of how I say bag, sometimes I had to repeat myself because they couldn’t understand me 😂 looking forward to more videos. I’m new to cross stitch and love learning more about it.
Hi Melinda. We will definitely have the camera closer next time so you can see all of the stitchy things better. See, you didn't even have to say pretty please. ;) jane
Hi Yvonne. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We would never want to take someone else's name. We will do another careful search and make changes if we need to. I hope you're having a great weekend. jane
Well you’re the buzz of the community so I’m binge watching all your episodes. So much fun !!!!
I avidly watch your flosstubes and realised I hadn’t seen your early flosstubes 💜🥰💜. You are both naturals talking to the camera.

Yes! Julie you can do 40count! I went to 36 then to 40-and it really wasn’t bad! I have to wear my clip on magnifiers, but hey! It works!!!
Thank you, Bernie! Julie is a great teacher and hopefully I will get over my fear of picots and cutting.

Hello Jane and Julie. I loved your flosstube video. Looking forward to seeing more from you two. It is a coincidence that I have just received my chart of The Gentle Rain myself, it is beautiful!
Hi Lunar. Thank you so much. A new video is coming soon. We hope you'll join us.

Welcome to Flosstube! Great first video. Loved all of your stitches. Happy Stitching ~ Vanessa
Thank you for the warm welcome, Vanessa! You have a great channel. I know what I will be binging next. :)

Congrats on your first flosstube! I am currently working on Flag Flock. It is so much fun.
Thank you Debra!
Absolutely delightful. I have done Hardanger and you brought back happy memories. Cans wait to see some of your delightful deliveries under way especially Something’purple’. Thank you for being brave. I have also just dipped my toe into flosstube. Under same name as my comment.
Thank you, Lynette. We will definitely check out your channel. We hope to see you again!

Omg your work is beautiful. I’m learning it’s ok to have a few cross stitch projects. I have 2 projects almost finished and two that i started. Learn a lot. Can’t wait till the next one
Thank you so much. Rumor has it that we will have more started projects to share next time. :)
Hi Linda. Maybe we can conquer picots together!
jane
Great job on your first video! Lovely projects. I’m lookin forward to learning more about hardanger (its on the bucket list). I was painting a ceiling while watching your video and actually had to drop the roller and order the Glendon Place chart! It really spoke to me! Lookin forward to the next one!
Thank you so much, Lori! Your channel is lovely. I know what I will be doing this afternoon while I stitch some of the 1,100 eyelets on Sophie - I'll be binging on your videos!

Nordic Needle was so awesome when Roz owned it - now it's gone forever - and the first thing I thought was "Where will hardanger stitchers get their supplies?"
As you mentioned, I may not stitch a piece because it's not my taste, but I love seeing what others are stitching on.
Keep up the good work 😁👍🏼
Hi Jane! We definitely have lots of room for improvement in our camera work. Hopefully we will do better in video #2 which is coming soon. - jane
@@runningwithscissorsstitchi5320 thanks sew much
You ladies are wonderful!
I love hardanfger. I'd love to see your projects better... More time closer to the camera??please?? 💕
Hi Melinda. We will definitely have the camera closer next time so you can see all of the stitchy things better. See, you didn't even have to say pretty please. ;)
jane
I thought there was another flosstuber with that name???
I believe? Her channel is "running with needles & scissors" that's the name that came up in the channel search I just did.
Hi Yvonne. Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We would never want to take someone else's name. We will do another careful search and make changes if we need to. I hope you're having a great weekend.
