- Take a shot every time you hear JULBORD 😂
I’m a little late with this one because of the holidays, but here it is! Everything Swedes eat during Christmas season.
If you know you'll be traveling to Sweden during November - December time, you have to get yourself booked at a julbord and experience the true Swedish food culture. They cost around $80-$130 in total (excluding drinks) but it's an all you can eat and food is of HIGH QUALITY, so it's money well spent.
Highly recommend making reservations 1-3 months in advance as these get booked up very fast.
Obviously at the time of this video goes live, the period for julbord has ended (they usually run through Christmas), but if you are planning to go in the future here are a couple of suggestions:
Gamla Riksarkivet: gamlariksarkivet.com/
Hallwylska Restaurant/Museum: hallwylskamuseet.se

Love this!! I'd love to visit Sweden 🇸🇪 ❤
Aww it’s definitely worth a visit! Underrated destination!
Potatoes are definitely vegetables. They come from a plant with an edible root.
Ah! I didn’t realize that due to its nutritional values… but I’m happy I learned that! 😄 thank you for the info 💯
Vegetable is a culinary term rather than a botanical one. So even though potatoes are plants, they are usually eaten as a starchy carbohydrate and so many countries (including the UK) don’t count them towards your vegetable intake. Still full of lots of nutrients though 🙂
That really was a great julbord 👌
Yes so amazing 😍
Amazing video! Thanks so much. ♥️
Thank you for watching! ☺️
Love this so much. I wish I'd been in Sweden a little later to be around for all the jul things. Also, in the US, we more and more need to be careful of salmon since it's so bad. Is Scandinavian salmon (and other fish) traditionally caught or safely farmed? I'd love to have every kind in this video.
Thank you so much for your feedback! 🥰 As for the fish (as far as I know) it really depends because you can get both wild caught and safely farmed, (as well as not so safely farmed). Easy to find out when you buy in the markets. Regulations on toxic foods are stricter in Europe especially in Scandinavian countries so I generally feel safer about foods there 😅
❤❤❤
Beautiful video! Something to pass along..please get your thyroid checked. I cut and pasted a simple self test:
A careful look in the mirror may help you spot an enlarged thyroid that needs a doctor's attention. Tip your head back, take a drink of water, and as you swallow, examine your neck below the Adam's apple and above the collarbone. Look for bulges or protrusions, then repeat the process a few times. See a doctor promptly if you see a bulge or lump
