A Message From Our President | Olimpia Satu Mare

We are looking forward to a new season.
Our goal for this year was to look for young talent from Satu Mare who we feel have potential and really focus on their development to create something special for the future.
This is a club with a lot of history that stands for something special.
We want to bring the club back to that level through hard work and love, as this club was built on those principles since the beginning.
Joe and I have learned from when we became the main investors and directors of the club that in Romania teams are not focused on the development of young players. Clubs are often given money by the local government to achieve results, but sometimes they disappear when funding is cut.
We are a private club where Joe and I are putting our own money into the club.
When we arrived in the second part of last season, the club needed to be stabilized quickly as it was in a lot of debt to the point of not being able to continue. Many unpaid bills, no training facilities, no training clothes, players leaving due to not being paid salaries for months, and even player apartments being threatened with eviction due to unpaid rent.
Now our goal is to build a solid foundation. Success takes time, and the objective is to find and develop young talent from Satu Mare.
