I also missed the Repulse Bay hotel where my father used to take us there for brunch. The pigeons feast at Shatin was a must on many weekends. Luk Kwok Hotel before it's rebuilt used to have a wonderful Chinese restaurant and dance club. My parents used to take me there for dinner on special occasions where they danced many nights. After work in the early 80s jazz at the Mandarin and Excelsier Hotel. I was blessed to have experienced Hong Kong when it was so prosperous. Thank you for bringing back my young memories.

I have the Honor meeting Sir Michael Kadoorie a couple of times, the way how he treasures every staff of his and every piece of memorable item is so respectful. This makes The Peninsula an unbeatable one.
Tried many hotel staycations over past year out of boredom, most memorable was definitely the stay in a corner suite in The Pen last Nov. Service throughout our stay was simply impeccable, our suite was super spacious and filled with old world charm. Only let down was the indoor pool being too cold to swim in although it’s supposed to be heated, breakfast was also a bit disappointing with mediocre food.
Historic place : Hong Kong Surrender Place on December 25, 1941.Peninsula Hotel built in 1928 and was the site of the official surrender by the Governor of Hong Kong, Sir Mark Aitchison Young (1886-1974), to the Japanese, in front of Lieutenant General Takashi Sakai and his Chief of Staff, Tadamichi Kuribayashi, on the third floor of the Peninsula Hotel. During the Japanese occupation (1940-1945) it was the redisence of general and senior officers of the Japanese Imperial Army. 歷史地點：1941年12月25日的香港投降廣場。半島酒店建於1928年，是香港總督艾奇森楊爵士（1886-1974）向日本人正式投降的地點，前面在半島酒店三樓，酒井隆中將和他的參謀長栗林忠通合影。

一直以為半島係住/食歷史, 設備都係守舊, 估唔到原來咁貼新科技
與時俱進，不愧為香港嘅旗艦酒店

我年青時候和太太同樣對半島嚮往已久，從來沒有想過有機會入住。直至太太無意中看到半島有個生日優惠，可以低於半價入住，一晚豪華客房連稅只需兩千一蚊。在酒店大堂晚餐亦有生日優惠，每人$380另加一可享四菜晚餐，即係住一晚加埋兩人酒店大堂晚餐，埋單三千有找，實在抵到喊。優惠做到三月底，有興趣嘅朋友可以考慮一下。
身邊都有朋友趁呢個生日優惠住左一次🤤🤤🤤抵到無倫！
仲有，生日優惠入住可以自動延遲至四點退房，可見半島確係有誠意，由2pm check-in 至翌日4pm check-out , 前後超過24個鐘，一般酒店都做唔到，何況係半島。

我住半島冇食自助餐，反而選擇喺大堂食晚餐，半島大堂嘅氣派同建築裝飾喺其他五星級酒店都搵唔到，能夠喺半島大堂食晚餐係我年青時候其中一個夢想，依家總算完成咗。
我吃過！其實呢我覺得一般般普通自助餐比較好食！我去自助餐係我間學校合唱團每年會請我哋去！

好多酒店一係窗簾唔夠長，一係唔夠厚，或者上面有虛位，一朝早就嚴重漏光影響睡眠質素

半島窗簾有兩層，一層係紗窗，一層係厚窗簾，閂晒之後可以不分晝夜
我上個禮拜住過一晚，係生日優惠，朝早八點幾醒咗，但房內仍然漆黑一片，以為個鐘壞咗。
