Life Behind the Beauty - short documentary films | Indian short films | Har ki doon | Uttarakhand
True story of himalayan village. We are going to show a short documentary films about Fateh Parvat in Uttrakhand, Uttrakashi district on the way to Her Ki Doon very famous tracking place.
It is around 470km form Delhi (NCR). There are four villages which are far away from basic facilities as Roads, Electricity, Education and medical facilities. Sankari is only small market for all those four villagers and is around 25km. away from all.
Sankari to Taluka forest road is available and can be reached by local vehicle it is 12km from Sankari. Those villages are Dhatmeer, Gangaad, Osla and Pawani in Govind Pashu Vihar National Park and Sanctuary Taluka is the last point for all villages where we can see road, after that people cover their distance by walking. It is short story of their life how they are living there without any single facility. Even, whenever any got any medical problem or serious health issue then they have to walk around 25km for hospital. In Lok sabha elections of 2014 all four villages decided not to vote any political party there are around 1700 voter.
Our film's motto is only to show their problems to public and to our government. We request all of you to please share this information to more people through this film and help them to get all basic facilities.

The soul of India lives in its villages. 60%of the population still lives in villages of India whitout any facilities and we are say mera desh badl rha hai.. kese badla?????.. khmbe lge light nai aayi kbhi, school bne teacher dikhe nai kbhi....😢

I donot understand why the poeple who go on adventure Tours try to spread the useless talks such as difficult life, way of living . A man who had chose to live life in mountains have done that thing by his choice.I have been to uttrakhand for more than 08 years. The postive values have not been discribed such as honesty, freedom of women, polloution free enviroment, good nature, cooperative poeple See here in delhi what life we are living, loot, Dacoits, Women always in danger, pollution. Day to Day madness in life,so many other things to describe. There are only four things which i find must for every body they are Road, Hospital, electricity,Education. Rest human being has to earn for himself. Why govt should held responsible for unemployment. This is true for Delhi and Uttrakhand also.

Exactly. You are right. There is no need to show unnecessary difficulties. These are actually difficulties for the plain people but the Pahadhis are known for their Hardships and Honesty. Though Electricity & Education are basic needs nowadays but things like water, foods & distance are no new problems which they face.
And living despite all these challenges is what which makes them a class apart.
If anyone needs all of the luxuries then they are not suited for mountains.

There are many such areas in uttarakhand, still deprived of basic necessities, like road, electricity, health, education etc.these people generate their own provisions from their meagre resources small fields, goat & sheep rearing, make their own clothes. They die in absence of access to hospitals.mainly injuries are cause of deaths.pregnent women die of some abnormality apears during delivery. So where is govt.for them.why should they vote.no change seen in their life style since thousand years.still barter system exists in liu of sheep wool.Now government have deprived them to use the forest , where will they go now.
