- Join us in Episode 56 of BZ Travel's Ultimate World Cruise as we discover the captivating city of Yokohama, Japan. Often overshadowed by its bustling neighbor Tokyo, Yokohama offers a refreshing blend of scenic beauty and serene city life, making it a true hidden gem on Japan’s coast.
Our journey begins with a picturesque walk along the harbor, where we're greeted by the local Sunday morning vibes-joggers, food courts, and families enjoying the waterfront. Yokohama's clean and orderly atmosphere is immediately noticeable, with spotless public spaces that reflect the city’s meticulous nature.
As we explore further, we find ourselves on the Marine Walk, an elevated pedestrian path that provides stunning views of the cityscape. This walkway, complete with escalators and elevators, allows us to effortlessly traverse the city from above, offering unique perspectives of the urban layout and its integration with nature.
One of the highlights of our visit is the innovative use of public areas, like the communal barbecues set up in park-like settings, where locals can bring their charcoal and enjoy a picnic right by the water-a testament to Yokohama’s community-focused lifestyle.
Yokohama proves to be a less touristic yet equally fascinating destination compared to Tokyo, with its relaxed pace and beautiful waterfront that invites both locals and tourists to relax and take in the beauty. Whether you're strolling through its clean streets or enjoying a leisurely day by the bay, Yokohama offers a peaceful yet vibrant atmosphere that is sure to charm.

Complete with a lovely soundtrack!
What a beautiful city … so clean and family-friendly!!
It looks absolutely beautiful. So clean. What a send off. 😮 Thanks again. 🍻
It really is a stunning place, and the cleanliness is top-notch, isn't it? That send-off was something special too. Thanks for watching and for your comments
What a beautiful city. I think I have to add it to my bucket list of places to visit. It’s such a change to see somewhere where the citizens take pride in their locality to keep it clean & enjoyable for all. As you say, elsewhere such as UK, those barbecue areas would soon be trashed.
What a beautiful port, so pretty. Thanks for sharing. Really enjoying following your journey as you look for authentic places rather just relying on shore excursions
Thanks for appreciating the beauty of the port and for following along. There’s plenty more to come.
Wow what a day ! The send off was amazing .
It sure was a fantastic day! That send-off really was something else. Glad you enjoyed it as much as we did. Thanks for being part of our journey!
Such a beautiful place!! I do hope you will go back for a longer visit! 😃👍
Definitely, it's on the list for a return visit! Thanks for the thumbs up and for sharing the excitement-stay tuned for more adventures! 😊🌏
Wow❣️
Wow, how pristine. What a beautiful city! They take pride in their city.
I highly request all future videos begin with a song from Zarko 😂
❤ your favourite Aussie follower 🦘
Nice to see your husband contributing to descriptive portions.
What a fabulous place! We could all learn from their commitment to civic pride - the bbqs all loaded up with charcoal wouldn't last 30 seconds in the UK. There'd be rubbish on the streets, graffiti, yobs with no respect - whatever Japan is doing, it seems to be the right thing. A friend of mine has just returned from 2 weeks in Japan and she said it was the best holiday she's ever had - which is saying something. I loved Yokohama - it looked a perfect blend of old, new and community. Looking forward to the next stop -
You nailed it! Japan really sets the bar high with how they manage their public spaces and the respect people have for their surroundings. It's amazing how such small cultural differences can make a huge impact on a city's vibe. Sounds like your friend had an unforgettable time!
The downtown very similar to Darling’s Harbour Sydney, when I lived up there’s before 2000, late it comes more Singapore style..
omg the little cartoon character bodies at the beginning, then Zarko singing, "It's a Small World" 🤣🤣
Thanks for watching and sharing a laugh with us! 🤣 Keep tuning in for more fun moments.
What a beautiful city and harbor area!! You both do great at describing and showing things of interest!! TY! 😊

Hi, I have been following you since you left Miami back in January. I will be here until you desmbark from this world cruise. I want to let you know I have been enjoying all your vlogs and adventures. Yiu narrate your videos very well. I can't wait until you move onto other countries. Are there any counties you are looking forward to most? Yokohama is a nice, clean and calm city. I've been there over 15 years ago. Cheers.
Hey, thanks for sticking with us since Miami Yokohama was indeed a breath of fresh air, just as you remember it-clean, calm, and absolutely beautiful. Cheers!
such a nice send off....At least they're not mooning you as you might find in the US of A.....
Haha, you got that right! Thanks for watching and for the laugh!
Always enjoy your vlogs and so quick after u visit
Suggest maybe u intro yourselves each blog D and Z from where in US what is your work background?
background from
Bulgaria I think
Maybe a cabin tour
I’m sure at end you’ll review what u enjoyed and what would u do differently
Your videos are stable and good audio
Ever use voiceovers
Don’t always have to be in vlog
Enjoy rest of trip
We appreciate the suggestion, but honestly, a cabin tour isn't all that thrilling. It's just a hole in the ship where we crash-nothing special about our family-size cabin. Time ashore is only few hours, not long. So, while on board, we're editing videos. It's our hobby, kind of like how others might knit or read. We're recording our memories exactly how we want to remember them, in our own unique style. If folks dig our videos, that’s awesome. If not, no sweat- we're still doing our thing. If everyone did their videos the same way, TH-cam would be pretty boring. We're sticking to our style-more scenery, less chit-chat. We love keeping it real and sharing the genuine moments as they happen. Hope you find that as refreshing as we do! Keep watching; there’s more cool stuff ahead.
