They are there legally under a temporary rescue visa. Problem is, Springfield infrastructure like housing, police, etc. was not ready for the influx of so many. It's also caused a lot of social stress because they apparently don't drive well, have trouble with the language, etc. They could use both State and Federal funding to help ease tensions and give the people the support they need. Perhaps some sort of "orientation" program to help the Haitians integrate better.

Killing a Canadian Goose in the US is a felony. Canadian Geese are federally protected. You can't kill them or their goslings, injure them, take their eggs, destroy their nests or anything like that. The penalty for hunting migratory birds or like Eagles is a fine of up to $100,000 and a year in jail. All of that is just for a 1st violation. The 2nd time it turns into a felony.

It's unfortunate that these Haiti immigrants have been brought to the US. They are from a different culture but need to be taught our laws and have behavior which coincides with our way of life. Allowing them to drive without being taught creates a situation of danger and legal responsibilities. Accidents happen and this causes a burden on the US drivers not only with property damage but increased insurance. It's a shame our resources have to be burdened by this influx of people.
