I have Roxus debut album, and love every song on it. However, I love "Borderline" more. I tried to find that song a long time ago, and glad to find you introduce it here. Good job! Thank you.
You’re very welcome! It’s a fantastic song, and definitely worth tracking down if you can. Thanks for checking out the video and sharing your story. :)
hello mate, greetings from Germany - love that band too, had to buy their debut album several times on cd to eventually have a mint condition copy of it with "stand back" being my favorite track 🙃
G’day to you too! Thanks for checking out the video and dropping a comment! It’s a brilliant album: The original version of Stand Back was how I got into Roxus -still one of my favourite songs!
Thanks for the comment! It’s an amazing song for sure. Not sure if I can post the whole thing without getting a copyright Strike, but I’ll see if there’s a way. :)
I have another one for you. Whitesnake Slip of the Tongue. The single The Deeper the Love has a great B side called Sweet Lady Luck which made its way on shier greatest hits album in 1994.
I’ve got that one on my list and it’ll be coming up soon! Already started doing the research… and it’s a killer song!! :) thanks mate: great suggestion!
Another great one is from Ozzy Osbourne - his album Down to Earth has a single for Dreamer which has the B-Side Black Skies. This track features long time David Bowie guitarist and current Cure Guitarist Reeves Gabrels. Cool track.
Never heard of this band, but they do have a cool 80s sound. The first thing that popped in my head with Borderline is it would be a cool ending to an album. A number of bands had a slow song to close out their album. This would fit that bill.
Thanks for checking out the video mate. I can totally hear what you’re saying: very true too! Maybe it could’ve replaced Jimi G as the last song. Roxus are definitely worth the deep dive: it’s stick a shame there’s only a few singles and one album to explore!
@@shouldvebeenonthealbum Another suggestion I was thinking of is a small band that I absolutely love - Tora Tora. An 80s rock band but with a very strong southern/bluesy groove to their music. They had a B-side song to their first single (Walkin' Shoes) off their first album (Surprise Attack) that's called Dancing with a Gypsy. It's a pretty cool song, but their first two albums are killer. Worth listening to even if you don't make a vid for them. 🙂
Roxus probably came along at the wrong time as grunge was becoming the thing, I have nightstreet on cd and sad that it's no longer on Spotify or Amazon music they were a good band and had talent, I also like candy harlots and judge mercy from that era and saw judge mercy support AC/DC on the razors edge tour in 91 it's sad none of those bands kicked on and I'd like to see a video of candy harlots and judge mercy, good times in my teens with those bands.
Hey Steve! I'd have to agree with you - the timing wasn't quite right; still it's a great album. The candy harlots never quite got their moment, though Sister's Crazy was a minor hit. (I have a 4 track demo EP from the front of a magazine in my collection!) Judge Mercy I haven't heard of but will definitely check them out. Thanks for watching the video and dropping a comment!
@@shouldvebeenonthealbum thanks for the reply mate, yeah the candy harlots ep was probably foreplay, I have that still and their first album five wicked ways, judge mercy are worth checking out they have a live ep called live with it and the album protocol so holy which came out in '93, the singer/guitarist Andy Cichon played bass on the tatts beats from a single drum album, and after judge mercy played bass with Shania Twain and with Billy Joel which I still believe he's with, talented musician and it's a shame they never took off another band that came along at the wrong time but the album is worth checking out it's good honest Aussie rock and they were a great live band back in the day.
Thanks i enjoyed your video. I like the songs 'Where are you now?' And Borderline.
You're welcome! :) Both songs are great tracks. :)

Another great suggestion too! Thanks for the brilliant ideas mate: much appreciated! Gotta love some Ozzy!

Definitely gonna check them out! I’ve heard of them in passing but haven’t delved into their catalogue. Will definitely do so now!
Borderline sounds like the musical bed for Drops of Jupiter by Train
Oooh - I like this insight! :) Thanks for dropping a comment!

I love learning about lost Aussie bands: I’ll add them to my playlist and check them out! Soo many bands never got the exposure they deserved!
