Why on my iPad to trace automatically just have the options "Photo" and "sketch"? I need to use the "illustration" mode... I have the IOS 15.7, and Vectornator 4.10.2...
Please help!😢 I need to upload simple Black and White cartoons with no color and auto Trace them then I need to be able to change the line thickness of the auto traced image how do I do this?
Hi there 👋 After selecting the artwork, the Quick Actions menu will appear beneath the image. Look for the icon that features two squares with nodes on each corner, one square in front of the other - this is the 'ungroup' button. Simply tap on this to ungroup your desired selection!
Doing it the exactly same way without success. Vectornator always completely shut down in the first second instead of processing auto tracing. Using iPad Pro 2ng generation iOS 14.6
@@linearityhq I use version 4.10.1 Now I noticed it actually did the task and vectorized the illustration. It crashes every time right away when I click Auto Trace. The vectorized image looks good when it comes to larger colored areas but the black outlines lost their original smoothness. Guess it works for illustrations w/o black outlines only.
Hi there! Illustration Mode is limited to devices operating with an A12 processor (or it's corresponding devices) and newer M1 MacBooks (or higher) therefore it's likely that your device is incompatible with the feature. We're very sorry for any disappointment caused.
@@linearityhq on my iPad too! The message just says “unknown error”. Also, after some updates, I can't delete the guides by clicking on them, I can only do it through the side menu. iPad mini 5, IOS 14.8.1 (I know it’s old, but I really don’t like new interface, it’s very inconvenient for me)

I’m using the last version, so it’s 4.10.2😊 it’s released yesterday, but the problems is still here:( The problem with the guides has existed for a long time, and the new(!) auto trace has not worked since its appearance:( BTW, thank you so much for answering! @@linearityhq Hi 👋🏻 😊 Several updates have already passed, but not a single problem has been solved😅, and the new mod still does not work on our iPads. 😢 I just wanted to know if there will be updates that will fix this, or do you have a different direction vector now and we’ll have to put up with it?😅
I don’t know what you mean by “base model”, but if you mean non-Pro iPads then yes. It works on my iPad Air 2 just fine. That model doesn’t support Apple Pencil, but I use a Dagi stylus, which is a passive kind and it works well.
@@Zodiacman16 yes you’re quite right. Forgot this. Wasn’t always the case, but at some point it became a requirement, presumably because it took advantage of some new API.
Illustration Mode is only available for devices operating with an A12 processor (or it's corresponding devices) and newer M1 MacBooks (or higher) therefore there is a likelihood that having an incompatible device is the root of the issue unfortunately. However, if your device does use one of the aforementioned processors and the feature remains unavailable - just let us know and we'll look into it!

I don't have the "illustration" option in Auto Trace Mode. It only shows photography and sketch options. Why?

Will vectornator work on the base model ipad?
I don’t know what you mean by “base model”, but if you mean non-Pro iPads then yes. It works on my iPad Air 2 just fine. That model doesn’t support Apple Pencil, but I use a Dagi stylus, which is a passive kind and it works well.
It should work on any model, as long as the device is on iPadOS version 13.0 or later (according to the FAQ on their website).
