I applied for truck seat warmer and beer cooler ice filler jobs, but all the ranch managers said those positions were made-up. So now I do it freelance. It aint much, but its honest work.🍺🤠
I will be looking for a Ranch Manager for an Equine Center soon! Good to hear some education on different roles! Love this! We need to teach the next generation about these important roles!
There’s a ranch about a mile from me and there’s a little bitty shack in the middle of a pasture with absolutely nothing around. It has power and a window unit. I was pretty sure they were cooking meth in there. The camper explains it.
Ranch work honestly seems like a good place to be im at the point where i cant stand most of society and wouldn't mind doing that just to get away from everyone
I don't know about that old son, I'm a contract musterer [day worker] and here in Australia I don't get out of bed for less than 250 a day, and I'm never in bed much 😂😂😂, and here in Australia you'll find that the fencing crews are the ones that earn the good money, over $1000 a kilometre, I use to earn 5k a month being a ringer living on the station, but since working for myself as a a contractor [day worker] I can pretty much triple that
During the summer, I help my uncle ranch/ and farm. I help brand cows round up cows, put the salt licks out, scout for lost cows, ride on horseback to herd cows, and take them to different pastures. I am swother trained, and I can till any field, hairo any field, and make or fix any fence. My dream is to be a better horseman and live or be an intern on a ranch one day. He passed away this year, so I now have no more connection to that life :((
I grew up cowboying. Love it. Still immersed in the culture, still ride, but I make 3x as much as managing a large restaurant than I ever did ranchin😂😂
Dale I have a question hence price of kettle should I sell this year and next year to a very low stocking rate ie the movie city slicker and really improve w new Cedar mesh wire fences and be ready to buy some Raymondville Charolais bulls Dale yeah?
I had your # and it has disappeared out of my phone!!! So im gonna need that again bro. JB's too;) we can figure out some sort of wager that either way will benefit us all. Also looking for sponsors, I'll rep your brand and definitely would fit into the day ladors or outlaw truck;)
Mr. Brisby how do I go about getting a job from anywhere I grew up farming and occasionally help family friends on their ranch but it was technically not a job and every where I go they say need more experience but no where will give a chance for experience I'm 20 and worked on family farm since 8 with cattle crops turkeys chickens and hogs but I can't seem to find a job welding, operating equipment, or being a mechanic I even worked at dealership for a year trying to save for welding school in Wyoming but family issues arose I feel like God is holding me for something but I want to work
Retired LEO helicopter pilot, I’m in for ranch flying! Chased enough bad guys think cows might be easier to find and stop stick if your chasin them! 😂.
Do you think a rancher would give a middle aged veteran with a good attitude and work hard ethic a chance? Any thoughts on ranching in the southern idaho northern nevada territory? Thank you.
You should do a video with your interns because i don't even know whos there anymore😂

Edit: I just seen the Intern at the end I'm looking to move to the USA, Montana preferably. What's my chances of getting started out on a ranch? I need some educating on the matter. I'm coming over with very little but my hands, my boots and the clothes on my back. I'm 33. I dont drink, I don't clock off until the work is done.
i’ve never worked on a ranch i’ve never done any ranch work but I want to be a ranch hand I really want to do this but I don’t know how if anyone could help can you please 🙏
It has always been my lifelong dream to be a ranch hand. But sadly none will allow anyone to learn and get experience with it. Because they all expect natural born ranchers.😢😢
See now, my problem isnt knowing the jobs. My problem is that there arent any ranches near me, at least not nearly the size they are out west. And not even remotely as welcoming to anyone looking to prove themselves. Its hard finding a ranch job on the East Coast and its even harder when you dont have a vehicle anymore. Living the broke life in a motel just barely getting by on odd jobs for the motel as a handyman and what my wife makes as a cashier at the local dollar store. Thankfully we live close enough for our oldest to attend the Local elementary school that i actually attended in the 90s which is not saying much. We'd love to make it out West to a ranch but most of them arent hiring men with a family to take care of, at least not the ones i looked into when we moved to Colorado. They were all looking for single people with no family type attachments to drag along.

Met you in Fort Worth. Will Rogers show. Y’all ever need an engineer?
I’m Jbs biggest fan but I like you too
Looking for a job as I'm in the middle east Dubai and hope you could guide me through.
Glad to know that cow dog ranks higher than a pilot and farmer. More skill needed for that job.😂
Follow up question in regards to the position of cow dog. Would one of the qualifications be the ability to lick one’s self. If so I’m out.
What about carpenter?

True that is a job on a ranch. They’d be a contractor tho. Like day work. Not many ranchers have a full time ferrier.
