      @@kre1187 it’s to make noise. They use those firing blanks in a lot of movies to fill in gunfire of automatic weapons. Usually ones where the blanks can’t cycle the round. That’s why he’s behind the tree hidden next to the maxim machine gun and the DP27

    • @kre1187
      @kre1187 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@johnbrown8570 You can get blanks for all the firearms in this clip. They make adapters for all of them. Adapters are also readily available, if not even BFONG (blank fire only non-gun) replicas for the full auto stuff so you're not destroying an original to make it blank fire.

    • @johnbrown8570

      @@kre1187 I’m just saying why they do it. You see AK47s on movie sets too for background firing. Maybe it’s the rate of fire idk. I’m just saying this in Poland where 7.62x39 is a lot cheaper and plentiful than 7mm Mauser in belts. There’s a reason the AKs are all located next to the machine guns. These reenactors know there were no AKs during ww2 and they’re not trying to pass it off as an STG either because both sides are using them with their machine guns crews.

      Of course. In the winter/spring 1945 russian and polish forces reached old frontier of 1939 Germany and went into Germany. On the northern theater near to the Baltic Sea were some heavily defended cities like Kolberg. This city was also important for german propaganda, because of succesful defending this in 1807. • @mariuszlech9173
      @mariuszlech9173 ปีที่แล้ว

      NO. At that time, Soviet propaganda was spreading information that the Germans had murdered them in 1941. Ordinary soldiers believed in it. But the commanders did not, because among those whom the Russians murdered, 500 officers were considered useful and in 1945 most of them commanded this army on the side of the USSR, they knew the truth about the crimes of the Russians but could not say anything because the same bullet in the head awaited them as those in 1940 . for talking about it.

      They knew because most of the Polish People's Army were former gulag prisoners who were captured in 1939. And in these POWs high ranking officers, capitalist and former White Army soldiers would be chosen for the massive execution in Katyn.
      A sweet revenge of USSR for what Poland did in 1920 like torturing and killing Soviet POWs, or helping White in the Civil War.

      These ones possible didn't know. But reason for them fighting is drastically different. It's not any love for communists, but just attempt to save lives, however weird it sounds.
      A lot of Poles were deported by soviets to Siberia, or Kazakhstan, to gulags and other things like this. It was a huge change for death. Additionally they would never come back to Poland. So when Polish army was organized by soviets, Poles on Siberia could choose, if they want to stay in gulag, of go to fight and get any chance to come back to their country. A lot of them hadn't any choice, they were just drafted to army. Similar situation was on lands that were previously Poland, and then were captured by soviets. They just forced hundreds of thousands of people to fight for Polish communist army.
      Similar situation was with Wehrmacht, where also a lot of Poles served. But again, they weren't volunteers, but they were forced to do that. That's why a lot of them gave up and deserted from Gemran Army. Well, on the western front. On the eastern front giving up could be more risky than fighting for occupant.

      Most Poles knew about Katyń during the war, that is if they bothered to read German newspapers appearing in Polish in occupied Poland. Germans discovered mass graves at Katyń forest and their propaganda made most of it. So the only question is would Poles living under German occupation would believe German propaganda. Some did, some didn’t.
