Finally! Marcelo is his own category! The king of lyrics!👑 Rap Artist!👑The Masters when it comes to explaining "difficult-sensitive topics" in simple words! During his career, he touched many taboos topics, as much as all rappers combined together.🙌
His most powerful song is " Sveti Bes" if you are able to get lyrics and translation for that song. That song will change completely your mindset, and perception about hip-hip. It did for me, it wam mind blowing to me how he managed to include (child abuse) topic into hip-hop.

It's so lyrical and poetical - but you brought it to me that anyone can feel this because this Serbian story can be translated to any nation in the world. Marčelo is a true rapper and respect for choosing this song which has taken whole the Balkans by the storm. Thank you!

Listen all to this legend that lives
Our number will be reduced so we will be able to stand under a plum tree (Serbia is famous for it's plum, it is also a reference from a movie based on a prophecy that Serbian people will go extinct because of their division)
And when only three of us are under that plum tree
The two of those will point finger at each other and say "You are the traitor!" (throughout Serbian history, people were choosing sides, remain orthodox-convert to Islam to save your ass, support this ruler-support another ruler, support chetniks-support partisans, support this politician-support that one, support Red Star-support Partizan, etc, the point being when Serbian people don't have a foreign enemy, they are always fighting amongst each other)
And while those two are arguing, the third one, the guy who's in charge
He will climb up the tree and steal the plums
And since nobody is watering that poor tree
It will dry out and rot, and so will we along with it
And then when you ask people "Why it has to be this way?"
They simply shrug their shoulders and say "Oh well..."
Oh well, oh well... It became a normal thing
If you ask a man where is his spine he will say "Oh well
I can't do anything alone, oh well, I am only one, poor, irrelevant guy
Nobody asks me anything and I am also a bit selfish
I am so worried that I look carefree
I am swearing at them, but quietly, then I go and vote for them again because "oh well"
I would bring him down kinda, but also I kinda wouldn't
It's better for me not to get involved, just sweep it all under a rug
I am not ashamed because everything is sinking while I am swimming
When I am undecisive should I do something, I find an alibi in majority
Basically, I have no principles, most of the time I am only looking after myself (maybe you can say it "essentially, I am of no essence", since it's a word play in Serbian)
And I have only one stance and that is: I don't have one
Anyway, some of them go to get their little diploma at Naisbitt (a private college in Belgrade that is notorious for giving away diplomas for money, having poor education, corrupt professors, etc)
Others are making cockails out of rap and Kemiš (Kemis is a singer of folk music)
And when you ask them "Why are you doing this?", nobody is feeling ashamed
A million people hides behind a spiteful "Oh well"
Oh well, it's only important that you have food on the table and get a job (said in a cynical way, implying that you got a job because of your political party and because you have sold yourself)
You are voting up and down comments and writing nonsense for a small amount of money (ruling party hiring people/bots to write pro-ruling party comments in online media outlers and social media and vote up and down on those comments, trying to influence public opinion
That's so patriotic, that's so in a decasyllabic manner
That's for our future, that's for our children (ruling party had slogans "for our children" and "for the future of Serbia" during the election campaigns)
Everybody is chasing money, but actually they are the ones being chased and entrapped like a prey
They are the hostages of negligence, strangers to one another
Everything is okay, everything is fine, everybody is agreeing to everything
Every sin is okay as long as it pays your debts
Because "oh well, it has to be that way, that's a necessity from a higher power"
No way it's only trash for cash, hashtag "oh well"
And nobody cares for anyone else
We are giving up on ourselves and by doing that we are raising hand on ourselves
Meanwhile, somebody is poisoning our air
    Somebody is killing our rivers
They are selling our lands so they can get richer
Making a tribe out of us that kneels before a totem
Expelling all the honest people and pushing the crowd towards their ruler
    That's called treason
That's against people, that's the only truth
Those people exist, but they are untouchable
Go on and attack me and say "oh well" on everything I have just said.
Oh well, oh well, my motto is "oh well"
All the shame dies when you zip it inside of an "oh well"
A soul, a spine, whatever is the most sacred to a person
Sell it in pieces and keep quiet because oh well
Stay silent when you see evil, stay silent when you touch the bottom
Stay silent on everything that's erasing our kind
And when they ask you how did you find yourself here where you are now
You just blame me and say "oh well"
Oh well.. oh weell... oh well...
Oh well, because it's easier that way
You just say "(Mar)čelo de facto supports NATO treaty"
A traitor, a foreign mercenary, a good old Soros' activist
That spits on everything that's his, so he could praise everything that's foreign
A front cover of NGO, member of many political parties
That goes to sing to ustashe, that goes to sing to balije (ustashe are Croatian fascist movement that killed over 700.000 Serbs in WW2 and started the breakup of Yugoslavia during the 90s, balije are condescending name for Bosnian Muslims, basically being called Turk leftovers and Serbs who changed their religion so they wouldn't have to pay taxes to Turkey and fear for their lives)
Drive him away like Bjela, and every scum like that should go (Bjelogrlic is a famous Serbian actor/filmdirector known for his antinationalistic and autochauvinist views)
Just like Djuricko, to never return (Djuricko is a famous Serbian actor who took part in antiserbian movie directed by Angelina Jolie, also known for having antiserbian views, he is also the guy who recited the words of a famous Serbian poet at the end of the video)
Hey, are you crazy, this is my land as well
My grandfather died for it, just like yours
Who says I am ashamed of my origins, I would never
But even if I had 100 lives, I would always despise that sort of people
That is slandering and lying, and think while being halfconscience
That every stupid thing they say suddenly becomes truth a second later
I was never a member of anything, I am not on anyone's payroll
I wouldn't sell for gold not a single letter I wrote
I am not supporting NATO, I remember well their bombs
I am not a part of Second Serbia, I am not from a priviledged part of Belgrade
I simply don't hate anyone, I am born as a Yugoslavian citizen
All the rifles are theirs, all the victims are mine
All people, all nations, all the villages that are burning
Everyone who died innocent because of your ideals
And I am not a believer, I don't even like the church
But when someone is destroying it, it freezes my soul
Every picture of that hell freezes the blood in my veins
But I never think that every Albanian is the same
    Hallucinationalistic crowd is warming up
You would defend Kosovo? You weren't even there to defend Kališ
When they were chopping down the trees, did you say to yourself "it hurts me"
And went out on the streets when Oliver was murdered
Or for Savamala, the ramp, helicopter
Where were you back then? Did you defend what's yours?
I did, and even if they break my ribs
And smash my head on the curb, this is still my land
You can keep saying bullshit using your foaming mouth
But nobody left Serbia because of me
    But because of you...
And still, 20 years I'm listening that I am a traitor... Well, if that's the case.. Great maester of all the scums, listen up:
Here is yesterday, take it and fuck it
Here is tomorrow, take it and fuck it
Take all the hope, everything that's good, bend it over your knee and beat the crap out of it
Make everything ill with that sick smile of yours and fuck it
Here, take the people, fuck with their heads
While they dream about golden age, take them and fuck them
And if I am interfering with that beautiful, lovely dream
I will stay silent, here, take all and fuck it
Fuck it... fuck it... fuck it....
Nationalism is, above all things, a paranoia. A collective and separate paranoia. As a collective paranoia, it is an aftermath of envy and fear. And above all, an aftermath of losing an individual conscience. -Serbian poet Danilo Kiš

Marcelo is considered the Serbian version of Eminem (fast rapping machine, etc). He's popular since long time ago, but he, unlike BG syndicate, for example, does stuff alone, and therefor has less visibility. He also got older, so he's beating a bit slower now than before, but lyrics improved. Because his texts were mostly anti-government, he is mostly welcomed by opposition media, and opposition media are mostly considered foreign fifth column.
He often touches social, state of society and politics.
Other than the latest video, my favorites from him are from 2013/14:

We do listen. That's why Marcelo is recognised as the best poet among all rapers here. From his first song to today, you need to listen every song and every lyric he wrote. In every song you have presented problems of the society (love, hate, politics, work slavery, sexual abuse in family,...etc.) Lot of good songs, good lyrics...and that is why I don't even play videos when you do impressions of Jala, Buba, Rasta...and others. For me, this is RAP. For me this and Beogradski Sindikat are something you need to do impressions of every week. There are also some older rapers doing songs like this. For example, you still didn't do any impression of EDO MAJKA. :)

The guy at the end of the video is Yuri from Stranger Things. The actor's name is Nikola Đuričko, and he got mentioned during the song as well. He was almost forced to leave the country, due to mainstream media shunning him because he spoke publicly against the government and the system. Luckily he made a name for himself and is now widely famous.

Some things Nemanja got wrong in his explanation.
Second Serbia is not a movement at lest not an official one, it is a term that was firstly used by people who represented the idea that Serbia needs to be cleansed from it's past, should feel shame and apologize, that Serbia should abandon nationalistic ideas and become liberal society, those people were also pro NATO and pro EU. That term became synonimous for people who are ashamed of being Serbian and had autoschuvinsitic views.
Savamala, buildings or houses which were destroyed in Savamala weren't destroyed because of unknown reason. Those were illegal buildings and homes and they were destroyed so that the Belgrade waterfront can be built and that was an illegal act done/approved by government. The thing was that even though those buildings were illegal, for government to destroy them legally it would took time, court decision was needed etc... But the government would then need to pay fines because they promised that that area will be cleared up to certain date. So instead of paying those fines and doing thing legally government destroyed those buildings during night using masked men.
And about that begining with plum three and 3 people under it. It is some old Serbian prophecy that one day all Serbs will stand under one plum. hundreds of years ago that was interpreted as all Serbs living in one Serbian country. But some newer interpretations say that there will be so few Serbs left that they will be able to fit under only one plum.
