I have two pairs of Tiburon (camo and solid) and they are my favorite hot weather hunting and hiking pants I've ever owned. (I did 42 miles and 12k feet of elevation gain in a pair over three days last August) They do fit me very well. If they don't fit someone else that would be a factor for them. Several factors not discussed that I have found important... (more important if you are using your clothing in very demanding situations) 1. Hip zip vents are game changers and take the cooling to another level. 2. The fabric dries very quickly and has a much better DWR (water resistant) coating than other nylon pants I've owned. 3. If you are actually doing any serious climbing or hiking, the articulated knees, gusseted crotch make a world of difference compared to other pants. 4. You should never buy Kuiu gear at full price unless you have to. They have several big sales a year. (I got both pairs for $99 or $109)
This review might have provided more value talking more about the Tiburons and if they work. If a pant is sold in 3 different inseam lengths but waist only comes in 2” increments isn’t it inevitable that someone will not be an exact even size waist? How do other pants like Levi’s and wranglers that are sold in 2” waist dimensions manage it? I’m not at all partial to elastic waist style pants. It appears to be one of their top sellers being available in 11 colors more options than some of their other styles.
