This is amazing and inspiring to me. I was wondering how to do the wire for a character because I am working on an indie game and one of my characters is similar to ennard but I wanted to make the wire look real. I was also wondering what happened with the chest area because it started out as a sculpted piece but then it disappeared.
Thank you for the kind words! Yeah I briefly brushed it off it the description, but what happened was I thought'd it'd be cool if I made the body a blob of wires by Sculpting the torso AND the wires at the same time. Stylistically, this looked terrible in my eyes. I overcomplicated something that could've been done in like 15 mins or less. So glad I went the route I chose in the timelapse
Hey, thanks for the kind words! With a lil bit of time and practice, you can do almost anything, my dude. If Blender is something you're motivated to improve on, I'd start now tbh. It's one of the best 3D modeling softwares out there, and the best software for beginners all around 👍

Thx for asking! This model took me 2 days to model. I got sidetracked for a few months, so it took me awhile to come back and finally color the character. I ended up uploading the Modeling process and the Color Result into separate videos
Absolutely, this model uses a lotta geometry and would definitely need a rework if I wanted it to be optimized for other uses. Ennard, believe it or not, is the first full-body animatronic I have completed. At the time, I knew in the back of my mind that I'd only be using this model for image renders. As for my PC specs, I use a AMD Ryzen 9 3900X with an Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 GPU, along with 64gb of memory
So yeah...uhm. At the time, Retopo was SUPER new to me and I wasn't aware that you could bake the sculpted details onto the low topology. I kinda just kept the MultiRes modifier around cuz I thought that THAT was the final step to the retopoing process. Also, just a side recommendation, don't retopo like I did in this video. Keep the process as low poly as possible and don't over-do it. You don't need to worry too much about small details if you plan on baking the details later anyway (using a multires modifier or Substance Painter if ya use that software)
@@Neyspaniel Well I kinda like your idea of using multirez after doing the retopo because I think with baking a normal map you can’t really modify the mesh anymore as far as I understand. Basically my project I want to make a character that looks like a stop motion chapter but it’s the making the head part that’s hard to decide.
At the time of when this video was uploaded, I had an NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 2070 Graphics Card and 64gb of memory within the computer. I have a 3070 now, but obviously you don't need a super duper POWERHOUSE of a PC to sculpt or model in Blender3D. Nowadays when I model, I tend to avoid using methods like I did in this video (topology-wise). All those wires were super unfun to texture or adjust when it came to UVs. Blender3D crashes alot less for me now that I switched it's settings to be more dependent on my GPU rather than BOTH my GPU and CPU. 👍
