This is the Di2 Setup video I want and need--really really good actually. No BS, and instructions in my language. A little length of 1 1/2" ABS or PVC DWV pipe works AWESOME as a no damage fork crown race slide hammer.... Btw. :)
I’m jumping into this years down the line. I have a major jake I’m considering installing 2x di2 on. How do I run the wire from the front derailleur into the BB? I see a tiny hole that’s big enough for just a cable to go into, but a di2 wire with connector will not fit through it. Do I need to drill it out to make it bigger?
Well the last time I built a bike up was in the late 70s with my Grand pa, I couldn't imagine what he would think of all of that, setting up gears with a telephone!!!!! Right I'm off to university now to learn how to build a bike, I'm pretty sure Oxford may have a course!?
Any chance you will make it to Europe this year? I have seen some good results by Rochette in some women's races. Don't know if there any other Canadiens there.
I have Shimano GRX Di2 2by system. If I buy for 1by new cassete, rear derailleur and crankarm can I convert to 1by. Can my GRX 2by shifters be used for 1by? Do I need anything else?
You're right. I used a 2x11 derailleur. All of mine are 2x11. Though I have a build planned for a 1x setup that will require the bigger cassette. Will keep you posted on that.
I also see that you have the same problem with your xtr-9100 pedals that I do. The seals keep sliding up out of the body onto the spindles. Is this fixable?
@@KDubzDidWhat Thanks! I actually got my original pair warrantied because I thought it was just an issue with that batch, but the second pair had the same problem.
@@KDubzDidWhat That was more of a question to you lol. That said I have tried a few combos but end up going back with tubs for the feel and 0 burps at 22-24 psi. Wondering if that is the same reason you still race with tubs?
Really wish I'd found this video 2 days ago. Before piecemealing videos together for each step. Grateful for all the little tips. Cute dog

Excellent step by step build walk through with all kinds of little tricks.
love the paint on major!
Didn't realize home base was Roanoke! Awesome place.
Couldn’t agree more!

Good to see di2 wiring mess. Prefer cables over wires.
Thanks for this. Very helpful, and to the point. Give that pupper a pet for me.
wheeeeew! those dura-ace wheels are clean!
great video 👍👍
Wow, times must be really tough...Kerry building his own bike...Spencer must be home collecting unemployment;)

Thanks bud...be safe!
I prefer AXS all day…with Di2 you have lost of cable rattles noises 😬
sick jorts

I am not going to go. Too risky to potentially not race.
Two jubilee clips and a tile saw works as a cheap alternative for steerer cutting, literally less than 10 euros
Thanks!

You got it. You’d be all set.
I thought the 1x11 GRX rear derailleur wasn't compatible with a 11-30 cassette. Or did you use a 2x11 rear derailleur?

Good question. I can reach out to shimano.

@@MichaelMachado2 same here
I tried to go 11-30 like a cross pro, and that lasted about 15 minutes.. 11-36 for me
Is the Stages a GRX specific crank?
They use a GRX arm and put a stages power meter on it.
@@KDubzDidWhat cool. I forgot about that option. Hoping to build a new cx bike for next year 🤞🏽 and use the GRX components.
Can't get tubeless to hold racing?
What’s your tire/wheel combo?

@@victorschepisi590 yep. Precisely. Though in the us, especially at the dry races tubeless would be just as good.
Why do all cross racers run 140mm front and rear?
It’s just not necessary to run 160. No long downhills or super fast descending. Mud helps slow you down and in dry races you barely touch your brakes.
Do you run 160 on your gravel or road bikes?
where is helmet for dog?
Haha he hates wearing things!
boy di2 looks awful complicated compared to axs
