107 mph? Clipped the other car passing it? We see these morons every day here in Tampa, weaving in and out of traffic 30, 40 or 50 mph over the speed limit. They expose everyone in their path to injury and death.

@@Bimb0spit There's literally dozens of news reports on this and she was ejected. She was not wearing her seat belt. Any insurance company or court will assign fault as a percentage in many cases depending on the actions of all involved. The odds of her survival would have been much higher if she chose to wear her seat belt. Was the initial accident her fault? Absolutely not and the guy needs to be punished but only partially for her death as the ejection part was her fault.
I had a friend years ago who died of a head injury in a motorcycle accident because he wasn't wearing his helmet. The accident wasn't his fault but the person that ran the light wasn't charged with manslaughter because he most likely would have survived if he had a helmet.
You chose to take safety risks then you're partially at fault.

That's it 12 years for taking another's life. You had a choice not to drive drunk.
You had a choice not to speed. You could of ubered, taxied, left called your brother or family to come get you. I'm sorry the judge should have been harder on you.

I think 15-20 years sounds about right and please add on 6 months for the horrible tie he was wearing.

You know the drunk drivers family says that's not the kind of person. It doesn't matter what type of person you was before this night. This night he made a choice a bad choice. Weather you make a good choice or a bad choice they both have consequences the problem is nobody has a problem accepting the consequences from a good choice they make but.But they have a problem accepting the consequences from bad choice they make.
