  • We decided to stay at the St. Anthony Hotel in Downtown San Antonio, Texas for a weekend. Did you know the St. Anthony Hotel is said to be haunted? We decided to go Ghost Hunting and check it out. Here's the history: ghostcitytours...
The St. Anthony Hotel is truly a beautiful place to stay and it's packed with history - both the haunted and non-haunted variety. We love it there! We decided to stay in Downtown San Antonio when Mark had to travel from Rockport back to Flagstaff for business. Zoe and I drove to San Antonio to pick him up from the airport. We came in a night early and explored Downtown San Antonio attractions like the Alamo. With all the great restaurants in town, the hot dog stand El Weinecero was too good to pass up. Trust me...it's a great choice! www.yelp.com/b...
The next morning, Zoe and I went exploring the River Walk. We stopped for breakfast and did some people watching. Then we went walking around to get in our post-breakfast exercise.
I went to get my hair done at the DryBar at the Alamo Quarry shops. You'll notice this is a consistent theme in a lot of our videos. I'm a BarFly member at DryBar, and love it! You can get your hair done often, it lasts a while, and there are DryBar locations all over the US..so it makes life a lot easier! Check it out here if you're interested in doing the same. www.drybarshop... (Again, not sponsored)
Then I picked Mark up from the airport. We went to the St. Anthony so he could get settled in. We picked up Zoe and went exploring, ending up at Maddy McMurphy's for a little bit. Afterwards we were off to the Alamo. If you want to go through the entire museum you need an appointment. Learn more here: www.thealamo.org/
We had dinner at St. Anthony's "Rebel" restaurant. Great steak and crab legs...definitely recommend.
That night we went ghost hunting in the hotel. The video of our adventure is about halfway through this video. You don't want to miss it!
The next day we had breakfast at La Panderia. We were told it was the best breakfast place in Downtown San Antonio, and it didn't disappoint! The line was long, but well worth the wait. Flaky pastry, great coffee, delicious egg sandwich and even the side of black beans were amazing! www.yelp.com/b...
After checking out of the St. Anthony hotel,, we decided to explore more of the Downtown San Antonio area before heading back to Rockport. We appreciated the statues and art, the architecture, and a latte from the coffee shop at the Riverwalk Plaza Hotel.

Hello friend. I really like the shops at the quarry. We ate at a good Mexican restaurant there and I just can't recall the name of it without googling. I love the Riverwalk. Stayed at several of the haunted hotels, but haven't seen anything yet. I must suck at the supernatural. Todd of San Antonio are usually much cheaper and worth the drive. JW Marriott numerous times, but I don't think I've been there since hurricane Harvey. The boys always wanted to go to the Buckhorn and the Hard Rock Cafe. Do Hard Rock Cafe even exist anymore?

Hey Dennis! I have seen paranormal stuff, and I didn't seem to freak out, but I haven't been chased down a hallway either!!! Ahhhhhhh!

We loved staying there too! Being so close to everything and learning some of the history was great. Plus the rooms are large and the beds are comfortable :)
