  • The legendary Mylec Hockey brand has been evolving and adding to the already well-established brand of products that have been a staple in the hockey world for generations. In this video, Professional Hockey Athlete John Schiavo reviews 4 different Mylec sticks including discussion and video images on how the sticks' ABS technology allows for much slower wear and tear on the blade than a typical game stick. The MK1 & MK3 are wooden sticks, the MK5 is a composite pro stick often used in Dek or street hockey, and the new MK7 is a full professional composite stick that rivals the usual hockey sticks bought in sporting good stores everywhere. It is light weight, has grip and a sandpaper finish. Watch the video and find out more details on each stick, and see how they look in the hands of John at an outdoor roller rink.

    Just picked up the MK1 wood not too long ago. Loving it so far. Nice durability

    Great vid, I bought the mk5 pro because of this vid. How do you get the sand paper finish on he blade. Is there a product you can recommend? Is it just double sided tape? Thanks a lot for the info/content

      I wish I knew the exact name but its a spray on you can get at a hardware store near you. Doesn't last super long but it leaves little tac on there. if not you can always cut out alittle light grip tape(or skate board grip tape) just wear you handle the puck that's always a great feel for an outdoor stick! Let me know if you can find that spay at a local store if you ask they should know!

      Thanks for the reply. I’m digging the skate board grip tape idea too.

      @@borobenny1 oh ya, so many people love that and you can craft it on you blade however you want to by cutting it your own way.

    I personally hate my Mylec street stick. The blade is too thin and doesn’t really feel like an ice stick at all

    • @JSchiavo44
      @JSchiavo44  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Really? Did the stick not feel right even when you first started using it? I don't notice the blade part cause honestly its super close to my normal sticks, but the not feeling like an exact pro ice stick I can understand cause it would be hard to compare to top top top of the line True, CCM, or Bauer

      @@JSchiavo44 the blade was about 1 and a quarter inches out of the box. And it was much heavier then my ice sticks
