Very easy door to install. Only thing I’d change is supplying longer screws. The screws provided were only 1 1/4” long. In my situation I had to go thru 1/2” shower wall then another 1/2” durock to get to the stud.
Excellent product and amassing customer service! My 98-year-old father with severe Alzheimer’s walked in during installation and picked up a wheel assembly and walked off with it. He then laid it down somewhere. After looking for several days I contacted the manufacturer and expected to pay out the nose for another wheel assembly. They sent me a new wheel without any fuss or charge. Again, they did not charge me a cent for the new wheel assembly or for shipping. You don’t find many companies now days with that kind of integrity. I have now had several more of their products installed in my other homes.
This video just sold you a door. I bought a competitor door and could not get it installed due to poor instructions. My experience helpers couldn't either. I researched and found this video and went and bought the door and installed it today. 90% great job but I want to give feedback on a couple things 10:16 in the video you drill holes for the glass bumpers after the top bar is installed. Works fine on your walls but almost all tile drilling bits are short shank. When drilling into tile that hole is impossible to drill straight with a short bit with the top bar in the way. Should have been directed to drill it when I drilled the top 2 holes for the support block. I ended up having to use very sticky nano tape. 8:48 you show her grabbing doors but you don't state that it matters direction of door. We didn't know there was coating on only one side and you have to read the fine print on the label. Had to take doors down and reverse. 11:44 the rectangular blocks appear installed. The install is not shown. Its a pretty hard rubber mallet smash that needs to happen to install them. Had us pretty worried installing them. 2:34 bottom bumper install. The 2 sided sticky tape is horrible. Doesn't stick to the rubber bumpers. I ended up using silicone to stick them onto our tile. Lastly, my opening isn't square. I had to install at max adjustment and it still wasn't good enough. Wish we had another 1/8" adjustment. Even at max adjustment my doors slide very slowly to one side on their own. I appreciate this video very much, went great with the instructions for the most part.
The video was beneficial. However, a few minor assumed steps were left out and I had to repeatedly refer to the manual to compare. I recommend that something better than a hacksaw be used to cut the top and bottom rails. I would wrap the top chrome piece or be very careful when cutting to keep from scratching it. The peel and stick adhesive is worthless, especially on the tracking guide. Something more substantial is needed, even if a screw or a glue-like substance has to be used to hold it in place. The finishing caps are a cheap plastic version of chrome and extremely hard to attach. All in all though, for the price, the kit is a good purchase. I am a first-time DIY person and saved myself $500 on installation. I would purchase again.
I just installed this shower door. The video was helpful and should be used in conjunction with the installation guide. It would be helpful to include detailed instructions for installation on both left hand and right hand configurations. I wouldn't recommend this for the average DIYer as it took all of my extensive trades experience and then some.

Thinking about this door available from Lowe's. Not clear why the instructions mention (Double the studs (2x4) where the wall jambs will be installed) when wall anchors are used. I have 2x4 near the outer edge of the shower pan but not near enough to secure the jambs into them. can you explain.
I couldn't get the covers to snap on to the eccentric plastic nuts that the shower doors hang on. Finally I shaved a tiny amount off of the inside tabs of the cover, and then I could snap them on. Basically cut off .5mm from the top 2 tabs (or the bottom, it probably doesn't matter and then it will be so much easier.
Drilling into ceramic tile can be difficult. I went through a couple of carbide bits (not recommended) and a diamond bit which was good for three holes.
The instructions manual was not helpful and the part needs to be number. I had trouble with the bottom door guide I think it needs to be wider or the wrong part was packed. Both doors hard to open
She cut bottom rail 3/8 shorter than the opening. When she put rail down on right side to put the siliconed piece over it , to me she had a 3/8 gap. So no gap on the left side?
For the holes, in the manual says 1/4 ceramic drill bit but is this only when you don't have studs? In the video you can see her using 1/8 drill bits for the first few holes. In a comment i saw someone saying 2'' 1/8 is not enough for the space between the interior edge and the bottom rail? Has anyone had the same problem?
Indeed 2” 1/8 is not enough for the space between the interior edge and the bottom rail. If we just look at the rubber bottom stoppers, they are 2” 1/4 wide to begin with. I left 2.5” space between the interior edge and the bottom rail and that worked well for me, if anything it left me with 1/8 extra space clearance. If you want it flush, 2” 3/8 is just about perfect
Why don't you put backing material on the reverse of your panels in your four piece shower kits (ie. Essence SH-6030)? You must realize that people will want to use this shower door assembly!? The anchors/rawlplugs you supply for stud free installations are also too small for the 1/4" holes you recommend (in the installation manual) drilling, they just push straight through or spin in place. And btw, how do you frame effectively behind these panels when there is a 1" void at the back? For effective structural stability and to hang such heavy doors I'd expect a more robust way to fasten them. Just my opinion but I'd be glad to hear your thoughts? Thanks!
I am waiting 1 more day or returning the doors to Lowe's. They should warn that these doors should be NEW CONSTRUCTION ONLY. I'm NOT about to tear down the tiles we just installed.. There's got to be a better way!
The Essence SH-6030 does have 3 pieces of wood on each sides where the door is to be installed to fill in the 1” void in the back. If you are installing a standard shower unit as opposed to Utile as shown in the video above, you will need to double down your studs as indicated in the installation manual of the shower door. If you have any further questions, do not hesitate to contact us at 1-877-438-6229 OPT 2+1. A Technical Specialist will be pleased to assist you.

1030 to 1050 isn't very clear. I assume they put hole in door over pin of left roller and inserted piece that she had removed and set aside and at 1050 was repeating fir right side hole.
is drilling tile without cracking it as easy as she made it look? that’s the only part I’m worried about with install. I bought the maax revelation and will be installing soon, and am worried I’ll end up having to replace cracked tile!
anyone watching this and still looking for this answer , you have to buy special drill bits to drill through tile. They work well and are worth the money. A cracked tile can ruin this entire process
Thank you for the video. It is great to see the installation. After installation, how to remove the aluminium cap (at 11:44 of the viewo) which covering the roller (11:34 of video)so that adjustment could be made.
Soooo frustrated with these screw covers! I called and the only advice I got was to push hard or use a rubber mallet. Its not working. Anyone have advice?
This video is somewhat helpful but I believe your missing some steps as some cuts need to be made to fit the pieces into the frame. Also the instruction manual is poor. It would be helpful to have all the pieces numbered to take the guess work out of the process. In all this is a frustrating experience for a do it your selfer who has never installed a shower door before.
Any recommendations on how to get the doors to slide more easily? My contractor installed them and they are level I checked. But an elderly or young person would never be able to open and close them. Their customer service is non existent. The mine just hangs up when you finally connect.
I was wondering the same thing. Then I kicked myself in the mental ass for not installing a tub spout in the shower I currently installing. Would have been damn handy for filling watering cans, humidifier tanks, etc.
I assume it's just a mock-up. I am installing this shower pan and purposely did not put it in. (We have kids and I can see water EVERYWHERE even with no drain stop!)

Why aren't these kits tall enough? I am 6ft tall and I have to duck to go in the shower? These are sized for people not exceeding 5'6, maybe 5'7 in height. My model is an Aura. I am considering returning this.
Is there some sort of trick to getting the screw covers in place? In this video, it does not show that step....in one scene, the screws are uncovered, and magically in the next scene, the metallic screw cover plates are in place at the top of the doors! We cannot get them installed to save our lives!
Will this fit on a mirolin shower stall edges are flat but a bit round on the bottom corners our width is 55 1/8 but I see your cutting the upper and lower rail anyway
The "Door Panel Screw Covers" the cover the rollers on the door are too tight to push on. They don't seem to have a thread....the video doesn't show them going on. Any ideas? Thanks!
I ordered a maax tube and shower enclosed for it. The first tub/shower kit I received had many flaws in the Carrara marble patter so I had to return it. I received the second shower kit and while at the store I just looked at the grout lines in the marble and to see if there were any cracks on the corners which there were none. I got it home and into the bathroom and took my 4 foot level and found that the back panel had a 3/4” bow in the middle of it. I wasn’t looking for that but now this second kit will have to go back and I will ask for my money back and will have to tile the shower walls if I EVER want to get this project done. I will be calling the big box store that I purchased it from in the morning. What a disappointing experience. It’s been over a month and I am still at square one. Don’t buy this product as there is zero quality control.
looking for the maax luminescence tub and shower door installation video...as the instruction manual is not clear and has no numbering and therefore is tedious to figure out? please make on otherwise we will have to return the item

When installing the header supports I noticed they are not lined up exactly across from each other. Is this correct? Before I drill holes in the porcelain tile I need to be certain. Please help.
The instructions are vague to say the least. The video helps , but had to watch it 32 times in segments to see how things fit. The plastic inserts for the wall rail don't fit. the plastic has shrunk and won't go over the rails to hold it in place. Rubber hammer doesn't help at all because the plastic won't relax to slide onto the rail where it supposed to go. If you do enough of these it would become easy - but first time out plan for a full day or more. Double side tape for bottom rail doesn't stick or hold well.
Managed to get them on. I had to slowly spread the plastic channel open located on the back of the insert piece. The plastic seems to have shrunk and dried so you need to stretch it. I used the butt end of a marker and slowly went from one end to the other widening the plastic channel
Installed the shower door, but somehow, cannot insert the screw caps on the 4 rollers. They are not simply click in. Can someone help please how to insert the screw caps in place (4 of them).
Hello! We are sorry to hear that you have run into some trouble during installation. If you would like to speak to technical services, please give our team a call at 877-438-6229 (Option 2) between 8am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday. We would be happy to assist you.
Simply heat up the covers in cup of hot water. Then carefully smack flat using a rubber hammer, Couple moderate taps and they snap on easily. It's a 3 minute job once they are heated up. good luck all.
Do not use the 2-1/8” measurement shown in this video to set the threshold rail. It should be parallel with the outer edge and that measure is the minimum distance from the inside of the rail to the inner edge of the bases threshold. You will ruin your install if you attempt to use the measurement shown in the video.
I was just noticing that as well...it's only a 1/16" of an inch difference, so i would start with the 7/16th and see how that fits, in the video it looks a little loose with the 1/2"..might even be worth it to measure yourself and see what you can get away with once the brackets are up. I am installing this door this week, so we'll see how it goes! 😳
Directions and video aren't clearcilla cilla counting down the Bass track just will not work that will break loose after a couple of slides of the door had to screw it down to keep it in place
would have been better if there is an audio, rather than people trying to figure out what are you pointing, also need to specify drill size because that's critical for the anchor to grip....more professional
Did you figure out why they were misaligned? Just want to know because I'm getting ready to install 2 of these doors. And want to know if the video is accurate before I start drilling into my tile.
@@tmm9768 The most important part is at 00:48. Look carefully at how the bottom guides are aligned, they're asymmetrical. This is key because if it isn't followed as per the bird's eye view then an incorrect installation would't be spotted until later. Overall it's a fantastic door for the price.
@@Fallschirmjagr66 Yep, It happened to me. Holes are now drilled through tile in the wrong place and can't be covered up. I'm very upset about the crappy instructions. The video helped but is still lacking!
Well I may want to retract my last email praising this video. HOW THE HECK DO YOU GET THE WHEEL SCREW COVER TO SNAP ON. Half an hour at this job and NONE of the covers are on. FRUSTRATING AS ALL HECK!!!

This video is better than the instructions...but let me tell you the maxx quality is horrible...logos are upside down...panels for shower were scratched and mold was to big...honestly just go with another company...I'm doing magic to make these senior citizens so they can have a bath...real frustrating!
Hi Aaron, we are so sorry to hear that you have had a frustrating installation experience! If you would like installation assistance, please do not hesitate to reach out to our team at 877-438-6229 (Option 2) between 8am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday.
The manual absolutely stinks!! I only found the video out of pure frustration over trying to get the header inline with the side rails. If you don't have a quality 4 foot level, you'll ever get it lined up correctly. I used a 2 foot level and being between the lines was not accurate enough. I had to remove the door and adjust the header multiple times in effort to get the glass to line up with the side walls. This is probably the fourth shower door system I've install and has been the most frustrating. If you have limited tools or abilities, I would not recommend this product.
plus mauvais service à la clientèle que j'ai vu , en fait je devrais dire aucun, envoie d'émails pour demande informations et aucu n retour. De plus poignée de porte de douche qui oxyde et roulettes qui rouillent

For those asking you have to whack the screw covers with a rubber mallet. Don’t be afraid to really hit them. They will snap on.
Hook the bottom, than whack the top with your palm.
That's exactly why I arrived here. Thanks for that info.
Thank you for bringing up the screw covers. The rubber mallet did the trick!

What's the difference between a slider (HALO) and by-pass (DUEL) shower door?
I have your instructions, and they need to be be written to show how to use them for a bath tub. This video needs to have a narrator as well.
Where can get pieces
I finally found out how to take the roller covers off. I took a real thin, small flathead screwdriver and wedged it under the cover and it pops off 😁
Y yo que no logro colocarlos. ¿Que hago?
Las puertas no coinciden en línea recta en la parte inferior , hay que hacer 12 agujero en la cerámica 😮
looking for the maax luminescence tub and shower door installation video...as the instruction manual is not clear and has no numbering and therefore is tedious to figure out? please make on otherwise we will have to return the item
Good evening,
You could use the Halo door installation as it is the same installation. If you have any questions please contact us at 1877-438-6229 opt2+opt1

When installing the header supports I noticed they are not lined up exactly across from each other. Is this correct? Before I drill holes in the porcelain tile I need to be certain. Please help.
!Pero no te han contestado!!!
Y me quedo co. La duda 😩
Does it come pre-installed with Lotus?
Comment enlever une des deux portes en verre pour entrer une chaise roulante. Une réponse s.v.p
Is this compatible with the Halo return panel ? As it seems the corner bracket for the Halo return panel is narrower than the rails of this one.
Same issue here...seems like the plastic has dried and shrunk and won't fit over the middle rails
Managed to get them on. I had to slowly spread the plastic channel open located on the back of the insert piece. The plastic seems to have shrunk and dried so you need to stretch it. I used the butt end of a marker and slowly went from one end to the other widening the plastic channel
Lol. When she measures the rails I assume that's the length she cuts them.
This video saved us, instruction booklet was a little vague, thanks!!
Do not use the 2-1/8” measurement shown in this video to set the threshold rail. It should be parallel with the outer edge and that measure is the minimum distance from the inside of the rail to the inner edge of the bases threshold. You will ruin your install if you attempt to use the measurement shown in the video.
video says subtract 1/2 inch off header rail... book says subtract 7/16 inch ???
I was just noticing that as well...it's only a 1/16" of an inch difference, so i would start with the 7/16th and see how that fits, in the video it looks a little loose with the 1/2"..might even be worth it to measure yourself and see what you can get away with once the brackets are up. I am installing this door this week, so we'll see how it goes! 😳
You marked rails with 2 lines. I assume that you cut to shorter length. Why put two lines on it?
What is the size of the bottom installation? Does the dual comes with a metal piece to install on top of the tub?
Were those ceramic wall tiles or utile?
utile
Did they mean "dual"? (fr: "double")??? "Duel" makes me think I've got a fight on my hands with this.
Directions and video aren't clearcilla cilla counting down the Bass track just will not work that will break loose after a couple of slides of the door had to screw it down to keep it in place
also angers they give you don't have lips on them so the anchors get pushed into the wall while trying to screw in get your own anchors
This is far from east to install. They make it look easy but you really need pro tools to do it yourself
would have been better if there is an audio, rather than people trying to figure out what are you pointing, also need to specify drill size because that's critical for the anchor to grip....more professional
watched the whole video ..waiting to see how the doors actually worked...never happened
This door was annoying to hang!
12 holes just to hang 2 sliding door?
specially on porcelain, hard to drill.
Specially 😂
What’s the cost for the parts and labor?
¿Por qué no te contestan?
Estoy esperando respuestas !!!
Just installed this door according to the video, doors do not line up
Hi Alex! Please contact our technical support at 1-877-438-6229 OPT 2+1 so we can assist you. Thanks!
Hi Dan! We are very sorry to hear that you are having a frustrating time with the wheel screw cover. If you would like to speak to a product expert to assist you, please do not hesitate to give the MAAX Team a call at 877-438-6229 (Option 2) between 8am-5pm EST, Monday-Friday. @@maaxweb Why didn't you simply tell him how to put them on?
This video is better than the instructions...but let me tell you the maxx quality is horrible...logos are upside down...panels for shower were scratched and mold was to big...honestly just go with another company...I'm doing magic to make these senior citizens so they can have a bath...real frustrating!
Why is there a tub spout at the bottom of the shower? 🤷🏽♂️
Toe tester!
Johnny Angel 🤣🤣🤣
Bucket filler!
Instructions unclear. Got my foot stuck in a toaster
This shower door is the worst engineering crap we have ever seen. Badly designed, cheaply made. Real garbage
2 and 1/8 is not enough
not going to work the way she does it unless they sent me the wrong rubber bumpers . a night mare of an install.
😂 if you don't have a 4 ft level you shouldn't even be attempting this. SMH.
plus mauvais service à la clientèle que j'ai vu , en fait je devrais dire aucun, envoie d'émails pour demande informations et aucu n retour. De plus poignée de porte de douche qui oxyde et roulettes qui rouillent
The absolute horrible music. Will anyone ever learn how to make videos?
Get frustrated with putting your shower door together then watch this video with that annoying ass music
Very poor directions. We can’t figure out how to place caps over the glider covers.
Because your a retard
This video is just as bad as the manual
