I absolutely love the way in which you teach the word. Will be sharing this with the teens in our family as I believe the way in which you articulate the words will help them to better understand the bible. Thank you!❤

3:50 There is a another possible meaning to the word "with her" due to hebrew translation. It also means complicit. Since Adam wasn't deceived, the ultimate question is why did he do it? Did they decide together, was it simply him succumbing to peer pressure, or did he deliberately disobey out of pure curiosity (what if...)?
I was taught the curse wasn't something God specifically put on us. It was more a literal consequence(action-reaction) of trying to live life and decide things without God: everything becomes harder but we brought this on ourselves and we gotta carry that weight.
This view avoids making God out to look like some punisher who brings bad things on people who mess up, when in reality, that this happens is only a unavoidable result of making choices on our own terms apart from God. At the more basic level, we see through this story what happens when you listen to anyone else but God. In the long run, it actually proves God's love for us more though.
By living forever, humans would be stuck in perpetual sin and shame on earth with no way back to God, hence being kicked out the garden where we no longer have access to the tree of life.
Now that Eve is a sinful human that will give birth to other sinful humans, childbirth is hard. The gift that she was given, that only she could do, was now kinda sucked. Dynamics between men and women are ruined despite the fact that they wanted the same things. Eve can't trust Adam's leadership anymore and Adam can't trust her period.
Again, life was all around easier in the garden and food was plentiful, but now that they are out, making food will be hard. And of course, they will be subject to death now.
Overall though, God kicking them out of the garden and away from the tree of life is merciful so we aren't stuck in our shame forever and there is hope for a better life with him, through Jesus Christ(literally born of a woman), who already overcame the world.
    Amen.

In what way does the Scripture imply that Adam was not deceived? I never considered this.

**Please note that the “serpent” was not a “snake” until AFTER God cursed the “serpent” to crawl on it’s belly. We don’t know for sure what a “serpent” was 6,000 years ago. We only go by the translation of the word “serpent” after the fact. So when someone says, “I don’t believe in talking snakes” I tell them, “it wasn’t a talking snake.”

A theory is that the serpent was a snake like figure with wings that may have been burning. Some think he presented in the form of a cherub. That would explain why Eve felt confortable speaking with it and also why God refers to what seems like a group of beings when he said man has become like us knowing good and evil

Real nice vodeo.. thanks for sharing this word! however I noticed you skipped right over 3:15?? That's one of the most intriguing scripture in Chapeter 3 ?

He also skipped over Genesis 3:21 which the "tree of life" is deeper than told today.

Genesis 3, "The Fall", has always been one of the most interesting sections of Genesis, but I always wondered about a couple of verses within the chapter. After partaking in tree, God individually addresses the Serpent (Genesis 3:14-15), Eve (Genesis 3:16) and Adam (Genesis 3:17-19), explaining what their specific punishments would be.
When addressing the Serpent, it seems as though this is the first moment in the Bible God curses all of the Serpent's offspring (i.e., Nephilim hybrids, the Tribe of Dan [Genesis 49:16-17], Serpent bloodlines...etc.). In verse 15 it states "And I will put 'enmity' between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers", further explaining future hostility between the Serpent and Eve, and Nephilim hybrids and humans.
When addressing Adam God says, in Genesis 3:17-19, "Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life. It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field. By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return." Was it that they didn't NEED food and the lifespans were indefinite prior to "The Fall"? Obviously during these times people lived longer (i.e., Methuselah, Enoch, Nephilim hybrids...etc.), however could Adam possibly had an unending lifespan before that terrible day?

All was good in during the time humans spent in the garden of Eden, humans where to be immortals due to our proximity with God.
Genesis 6:3 "My Spirit shall not abide in[a] man forever, for he is flesh: his days shall be 120 years.”
This seems to indicates how sin separated us from God and shortened our days and brought death.
Although this is only a piece of Knowledge where as to truly understand, wisdom is needed.
i.e We can go a lot deeper with research, reflection and meditation on this verse, to truly, truly understand what it means to see the essence of it's meaning.

@@astroxturbo815 wasn't lack of access to the tree of life that did it?
It's literally mentioned in the chapter.

When God was walking in the garden why did he call adam first? Why not eve who was deceived by the sarpent?
At first adam and eve were putting on plant leaves.. why did God make for them clothing from animal skin?
Then what exactly does the sarpent symbolize in terms of its offsprings?
Was the fruit of life an actual fruit or a representation of some form of knowledge?
When adam and eve found out they were naked.. does this mean there was some form of sexual sin??

chapter 3 of Genesis is hard for me. I thought the Curse came from the Devil, but if we read carefully, the Curse came from God. Sin did not bring the Curse but God did. Im kinda puzzled at these story because it puts God who is Holy as having a hissy fit. Its like he was driven by emotion as his first reaction to Adam violating the command. Im sorry my Father in heaven if I have this question in my heart. Please open up my mind to understand and heart to receive the Truth.

I believe it's because God is just. He is loving and merciful, but also Just and Holy. Without punishment, sin will be taken lightly.
Also, whenever I read the Word, consider what it says about God. His ways are higher than ours and thoughts higher than our thoughts.
Hope you will have peace in your heart and mind. (Sorry for my English) God bless you.

I think there are a few things to keep in mind. Firstly the effects of disobeying God are already on display as a consequence of eating the fruit. They are afraid, ashamed and then start to turn on each other. None of that was God's doing but theirs. Then you have the curse. Most of the curse is actually a direct consequence of man's now mortal state. Working by the sweat of his brow to the end of his days for instance. So was God being petty by barring them from the tree of life after eating the fruit? No, not only were they warned that would be the end result, imagine if mankind was corrupted by sin and lived for an endless amount of time. Basically we would be like demons. So I would argue that God banishing us from His presence in our sinful state is a sign of His mercy. Hence our road to eternal life is the road of sanctification paved by the sacrifice of Jesus Christ. If you still struggle with this, I hope this helps. God Bless
