Thank you for this, film/TV lighting programmer here I'd love to see another where you use material to alter the texture... (and assign artnet/sacn control to that material so I can control the pixel mapping entirely from a lighting console like a typical media server)... also FYI your lights that flicker on camera is because of their lower PWM frequency not the DMX refresh rate. 😉
Is it possible to create and save custom light fixture profile? I'm imagining a need to calibrate the particular spread, softness, shape and even remap the color values for a given fixture to a accuracy level that keeps the real light and it's digital double in sync even of you change it's position/settings. (Which also brings up the idea of throwing a vive tracker on real set lights for 6dof relevant data). Also does the DMX control work in both directions? Can I instead physically change the RGB settings on the IRL light and then the virtual light automatically responds and matches?
If you wanted to work backwards you would need a lifting desk or lighting controller, I’m not aware of any lights that act the self’s as a DMX light controller

This is great! FYI The Arri Skypanels can do any color if you map appropriately and utilize the 'Color Crossfade'.
