I lived at actual base that the story takes place, (Caserma Ederle) and they perfectly captured the vibe of the place. In a few scenes I saw, I was sure they actually filmed at the real base and I was surprised to see it was a set.
They definitely had a serious budget. I grew up on military bases in Europe as a kid and this set is LEGIT. The interactions between these “military brats” too is pretty authentic
The show is so chill, it feels like a vlog-documentary. I often see myself looking away at some scene because I felt like it should be private, like in intruding or something😂 It's...it feels so raw, real and genuine and I appreciate it so very much.
It's unfortunate that the show doesn't air on Sunday's since LoveCraft Country air on Sunday's instead Also Drake and Zendaya's star power actually helped promote the show more,the pilot alone had more than half a million views (577000 to be precise)
Yes ppl it is a LIMITED SERIES. And there most likely won't be a S2 because Luca Guadagnino has at least 4 other projects goin on. Btw the show is beautiful.

I love this! I’m an interior designer who’s currently studying to become a production designer. I love this craft so much! The attention to detail helps bring the audience into any story seamlessly. This little world they created is absolutely amazing!
As someone who was in the army stationed in Europe two years ago (I was in Germany, not Italy tho) They got so many little details correct with the base that it gets me very nostalgic.

Frazer is already pretty big. He was in the It movies and now he's in the DCEU with Shazam. This HBO series is just an addition to his already established success.
I'm really impressed to the details there, they literally build a military base to shot a show . And it's worth it cause the show is amazing. It's funny the way that Jake is so different from Fraser , he's so ongoing and Freser is so private , it shows what a good actor he is. Jordan is also a great actress no doubt about it

I graduated from the Vicenza Italy American High School on Caserma Ederle. So this feels like my 89' crew all over again. I love it! The village as we referred to it as "Villagio". There's just much realness to it all, again I absolutely love and enjoy this production. Wish I could have been a part of it.
This will Never stop being one of my favorite shows... Ever! These 2 were Absolutely Phenomenal, I can't believe it's her first time. If Season 2 Doesn't happen.... Kwkfbellkfn I just don't know What to say.. Please Make it Happen! And tbh. . Maybe Netflix is a better fit for ratings, but I Loved tuning in to HBO as well every Monday.. It was an Experience! ❤️

as someone who’s lived on a base multiple times, this is honestly pretty realistic.

I read that the US Army gave permission to film on a real base but withdrew when they saw some of the subjects to be examined in the show
