i don't know how to feel about mufasa not being the son of a king but became one. i always thought simba came from a long line of royalty by blood.

@@DeezNutzzzzzzzzzzz disney got rid of all of its normal 2d animation stuff over 2 decades ago, its actually more expensive
2d animation is way too much time and effort with drawing every frame. they should go back to quality 3d animation like Wall E or Ratatouille. Iconic character designs: Luca, Turning Red, Encanto all look too similar if you silhouette characters. They even have similar facial features.

So they retcon the Original story, because Mufasa told Simba they descend from a long line of kings that keep the balance of life the planes, just like the Play Hamlet. Now it's an underdog story.

Finally we get to see the origin story of MUFASA. Trailer looks good, i just hope the story is good.
Looks like a step in the right direction whereby we get a fresh story focusing on exploring an important character in Lion King franchise which is new and frankly exciting.
This is a good way to expand the lore.
I will definitely be checking it out to judge it on its own merits.
