It used to give like 40% scaling, had a brief stint of AP to % health damage buff, and in a week went to more or less what it is now.
Yo Ross You should make a video where you play Twitch or Rengar jungle, and every time before you gank someone you write "bravo 6, going dark" (like you said it in this video at 19:33) in all chat, and then Q as twitch or R as rengar and gank them.
I remember we were hard losing a ranked, I was just waiting for the 15ff so I built full AP Twitch just to make sure we surrender. Long story short I nuked the enemy carries with a 700dmg E and they ragequit. We won the game.

Which is kind of the point of "true" dmg. You get what is displayed in the tooltip, not more, not less.

In settings theres a way to make your aa’s go towards the unit closest to your cursor instead of to your champ and that might help
