Honestly I hope MGK doesn't give up Pop Punk, I wouldn't mind a Rap album but I also hope it doesn't become a one and done thing, like if he did one album rap, the next one be rock or pop punk and just swapped those in-between new albums, I'd be very ok with that

The thing is, it's whatever genre inspires him at the time that's going to help him make great music! Honestly, I don't think he could make a bad album because he sounds great and is able to pull off being very versitile. I'll be down with MGK no matter what direction he goes in from here. If he switches it up and then goes back to this sound then that's cool too. He's been on such a journey starting from Cleveland and it's really inspiring.

@@judson8441 I mean he did a cover of a Lil Peep song during the lockdown sessions. He talked about regretting not getting to meet Peep in Glass House. He obviously felt an influence to even bring him up (multiple times); considering MGK has been around since well before Peep, did you ever consider that maybe the influence was mutual? Music influences a lot of people in a lot of ways; accusing them of "not talking about it" (as if you're having conversations with him everyday) is just you projecting your opinion into their life.

I’m sorry you’re having a rough time.. keep trekking! As a person that’s been in recovery for almost 8 years and In therapy since I was 15 I think what he’s saying is finding the right therapist is like dating because most will just want you to talk and ask how you’re feeling but you have to keep looking for the RIGHT therapist that won’t only do that but will give you advice and tell you what to do not just ask you to vent.. I went through TONS of therapists before I found a good one and she retired last December so I’m going to start looking for a new one soon and I know exactly what he was talking about cuz looking for a new therapist is taxing but finding the right one can be worth it! So keep trying. Maybe you just haven’t found the right fit yet. Keep looking and treat your first meeting with a therapist as an interview. Tell them what you’re looking for in a therapist and if they don’t offer what you need, move on. Cuz there’s nothing worse than a bad doctor/therapist because it can actually set you back. Sending positivity your way :)

He deserves so much more than he's gotten and I don't just mean credit and respect. Rap, Rock, a graphic novel, a documentary with Netflix, a movie he produced and wrote, and multiple large movies... The hate is so misguided and music has always been so unique and original.
Bloom and Hotel Diablo weren't typical rap albums, he's never had a typical sound... and now everyone wants to say he "swapped genres". He doesn't have a genre, stop trying to put him in a box that you can't see outside of. Open your mind.
