    flair i love the hot tent videos and just a tip on the wood is you wouldn’t have to stoke the fire so many times. it all depends on the type of wood you’re using. Pine and Sap woods burn fast but hot and Your hard woods like oak or hickory take longer to burn.

    • @546555999
      @546555999 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Also use much larger pieces and adjust the damper (after the fire is established) in order to make it last even longer.

      but the wood that burns hot and for a long time is osage orange

      @dwayneb72 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also if you have damp wood place it close to your stove where it can dry as you burn the other wood and it will function better as a heat source later in the camping trip and rotate the pieces to always have dry wood

    To tenderize Raccoon-cut onion into fourths. Can cut raccoon into quarters & boil for about 25 minutes. Then you can fry or bake it how you want. You can do the same with squirrels (no onions). Boil to tenderize & fry or whatever. Thanks. 🦝. 🐿🐿

    Man nothing can make your day go from complete stress, anxiety, and overall just a 💩 day to the best day ever. Love these vids. Also idk about other people but I love the ice fishing vids and I recommend for the January and February months where there isn’t anything to do you should go up to Canada or something and do ice fishing challenges and sleep on the ice. Kinda like mindak!

    When you get your bigger stove, be sure to get the floor protecter as well. And put in a medium size flat stone for chopping your wood on. Y'all are doing a good job getting this figured out! Love the way you aren't afraid to try different things.

    Great mini series. Would love to see more of these. Maybe next year you get one of the giant tents and you bring papa beef cake and a few others. Def need the bigger stove. Another thing you could add is a fire ring cooker and do some catch clean cooks over a fire pit.

    I watched this on Uncut last night at 1am, est! Best birthday present!🎂 I was wondering if there's much of a time difference cooking at summer camp to cooking at cold camp.🏕 What if next time you take a meat mallet, or whatever it's called, so the meat isn't as tough.🔨 Considering you cooked it over a woodburning stove, it looks pretty good!🦝

    Cut a piece of cement fiber board to fit inside the tote box top (outside) and glue it down. Gives you a hard surface if needed and a fire resistant spot for the stove.

    So the black liquid is creosote and is because the logs were wet and the smoke was cooling before exiting the chimney. You want lighter wood like birch or hickory for cooking (fast burning heat) and oak or elm for night time (lots of btu's and slow burning). Closing the top damper almost completely and using the front to control burn rate will help overnight as well.

    The black stuff dripping from your stove is sap. Based off of how difficult it was to start the fire, the wood probably wasn’t seasoned properly. I’ve had the same happen with my stove when using slightly ‘green’ fuel
