I once bought a pair of rabbits, and they multiplied rapidly-within a year, I had 70 of them. I kept them free-range, building a shed for them to stay in at night while they roamed my large garden during the day. Everyone came to my house to pet the rabbits, and children would always come to play with them. I kept them for pleasure, unable to bring myself to eat any; they were simply too cute and cuddly. I spent quite a bit on green vegetable leaves and discarded veggies from the market to feed them. Unfortunately, I had to move for work, and I ended up selling them all. The only downside was the unpleasant smell of their urine, but overall, I truly enjoyed my time with the rabbits.
@@FarmUp Thank you, Dr. Daniel. As an animal lover, you’ve inspired me. I’ve raised chickens, ducks, goats, and rabbits in small quantities and plan to set up a proper farm in the future, not only for the profit, but also because I love it. The peace and satisfaction that come from raising animals is unmatched, and more people should learn to appreciate and embrace this rewarding lifestyle.
We had them in our yard, they give bird almost everyday and became a lot that is why I decided to gift some kids who used to come and watch them. It is not a nice investment even though it is cheap.
@@FarmUpI understand sir, I stay in Congo and there is not market for ranbits here, I was in Zambia (3 years studying Aeronautical Engineering) , in South Africa (2 years for a master ) and there was not market for rabbits no wonder I generalised. Just like you said, you can keep and eat them but it is rare to find buyers.
Please How do you prevent them from soil organisms like that worms and insect in the soil? This is a kind of rabbit farm I always love to do once I have the opportunity, I always call it Rabbit village
Free range is good for rabbits, but you will have problem managing them and risk of predators. It is advised to rise them in closed area in raised cages
The area is too big, you should do free range in small plots to manage large populations, so you can separate males and females, and avoid inbreeding. Cages are too small for animals that like to run. Raising rabbits without a net to protect them from birds of prey is not a good idea.
Hello Dr Daniel I need more information about the pro academy program. I sent an email but you haven’t responded yet. Kindly reply as soon as you see my mail so we can proceed with the registration. Thank you
This guy has no idea the problem he has on his hands. Those holes are known as warrens they are continuos tunnels. The neighbouring farms will start to complain. Warren tunnels have been known to go for more than a kilometer in length. These rabbits will become a pest as you are not rabitt farming them correctly. Foolish man.
Good afternoon Farmup, please help me find out if the approach used in this video link is advisable especially if you have space but not land and want to go into layers poultry. th-cam.com/users/shortsF8aqtvPAv1I?si=qcqlVvWPDBXjJsNx
I would encourage dry hay instead of fresh greens to avoid Bloating which is very deadly. Overall l love what you are doing keep it up.

Wow. That was beautiful. They do reproduce quick. My areas is large so even urine smell isn't an issue

Daktari you are really doing a good job and changing my imagination about life through farming,God bless you.
Consider dry grass instead leaves. They will also graze just like sheep/goats.
Too much leaves gives them digestive issues.
Wow rabbits. I used to rare some back in the days in Ghana but not in the huge numbers
Wow. Dr. Daniel, u are too much❤
This is amazing rabbit farming. I am on my way to raise them this way...always thought they are to be in cages. Wow

Kale like broccoli can be hard on the stomach if uncooked. They are both super nutritious though. This is the plants self defense mechanism.

Oh yes. Depends on what the goal is

Morning Doc,
I was thinking of the simple structures you made inside the chicken run, why it wasn't the best idea. Kindly shade more light on that one
The rabbits would not stay in it since they naturally like to stay in holes they make them selves .
Nice project
I think keeping them outside is perilous
That's amazing, So the mother rabbits are providing crevices for their babies to hide. It's Better one
Dr Dan just want to find out does free ramge not run higher risk of diseases?

That’s hard to harvest them
Please what’s dual purpose chicken?
Dual purpose chickens are chickens that can be kept for both egg 🍳 🥚 and 🍖 meat production
How do you catch them to eat them?
It's quite easy
Will they not dig holes in the soil and start living there
@@CalebMaina-lf5po they will but won’t leave the property if managed well like he had done
@@CalebMaina-lf5po they will especially when giving birth
Am learning from you alot. Thanks.❤
They live in the soil. But I don't mind
Rabbit urine is a good pesticide. Find a way to harvest the urine

Woooooow

They don't
Well done. Rabbits look lovely. However, Rabbits are unclean. Bible doesn't say you eat. Leviticus 11.
Kindly read the Bible well.
Read about what God has made clean in the New testament
