Hi, V bee!! Thank you for saying that!! I'm so happy to hear that!! I wish I could make the Miffy sandwich for youas a token of my appreciation for your continuous support!🐰🍓 Have a wonderful weekend!!
That Miffy sandwich, with the little hands holding the strawberry!!! There are no words to describe just how cute she was 😍 That new pot and steamer seem like a great combination as well; excellent purchase 😃 I feel like the New Year is rushing past as well; how are we already on the 21st?! I had my wisdom tooth out on Friday. It was the first time I've ever had a tooth removed and I was super scared!! Of course it turned out fine but it does still hurt when I open my mouth so when I eat I'm having to take tiny bites 😑 I imagine eating that super fluffy omelette would be hard for me at the moment, I might need a knife and fork to cut it up first 😋
Hi, dewdropmushroom!! Is it already February?? Time flies... How's your wisdom tooth? I understand how you feel because I've been there before. It hurt so much and the bleeding didn't stop😱 and I was so anxious that I called my mom at my parents' house lol I hope you feel better now. Anyway thank you for your kind comment again this week!! I'm glad to know you liked the Miffy sandwich🍓Have a wonderful weekend!!
Stunning and mouth-watering, as usual! Thank you for the (visual) meal 🙏. I swear sometimes these become 4D - if only that were possible 😭. Thank you for teaching us today, Hanako ✨️ A great start to the New Year 🎊

I was so busy this week that I only had a chance to watch Hanako-san's video tonight, and I'm so happy! Finally Tonjiru! 💖 It looked very filling and tasty, the proper soup to revive a tired spirit. ☺️ Thank you for showing us your mother's recipe!
Hi, L!! Thank you for your kind comment!! I'm glad you liked my mom's Tonjiru recipe!!I know you have had tough days, and I hope you have a relaxing weekend!!!!
Hi, Charmin hime!! Actually My husband and I are also love Kyoto, and we hope to go there by the end of this year! I'm not sure if we can go or not... Anyway may your wish that you come to Japan come true!! Thank you always for your kind comments!! Have a wonderful weekend!!
The La Creuset with steamer function is so convenient... I want one now 😅 Thank you as always for the video, I get so many ideas watching you & your bento are so beautiful. Hope your family has a wonderful year 🎉🎉🎉
Your words of wisdom have calmed my work anxiety. I started a new job in April, and it's just now getting super busy. I have a tendency to go very fast when I get a bit overwhelmed -- which means I make mistakes. It slows the whole process down anyway, with the added bonus of me panicking getting a bit overwhelmed and going very fast and you get the idea. Kotov Syndrome. These are the words of wisdom: We are each our own cars that can never be replaced. I can't replace the car that is me.
Oh... it must have been tough months for you. Thank you for your hard work, Royce!! You are a hard worker!! I also tell that words myself. Let's take a deep breath! May you have a good rest and relax and have a relaxing weekend!!
Leaving an unripe avocado in a bag with a banana also works really great! I think it works even better actually :) Also these bentos look delicious ❤️❤️
Everything looks even more amazing than usual. I'm so hungry now. Congratulations on your new Le Creuset! I've never seen the steamer piece, but you're making very good use of it. I have no idea what my first dream of the new year was, but I'm positive it had something to do with food! Have a wonderful week, Hanako!

Happy New Year! Your bentos look incredible. I think the sandwich one is my favorite - it amazes me that you can make sandwiches beautiful. Congratulations on your new Le Creuset pot! I like that you are experimenting with it to find new/better ways to make things, like the tamagoyaki. (I hope it is less rebellious than your tamagoyaki pan.)
Wish you a belated happy new year! May this be a happy and fruitful year‼ (It's already February!? I can't believe...😱) Thank you for your kind comment! I'm glad you liked the Miffy sandwich! and so far, my Le Creuset is more obedient than my Tamagoyaki pan is lol Anyway have a wonderful weekend!!
Hello Hanako! Happy new year to you! May this year be filled with good health, happiness and success! I didn't take the time to coment last week bentos, but the ghibli dishes were amazing! I've never tried to steam omelets so far, but it seems it works well, I'll give it a go! Thank you for this nice video again, take care of yourself :)

Happy New Year to you, Hanako! All of your dishes look wonderful this week! Also, about unripe avocados, if you have a brown paper bag, you can place the unripe avocado in the bag and then stick the bag in like a dark place, so like your pantry, for three days, and it should be ripe! (It's what I used to do if my avocados weren't ripe when I bought them)
Thank you, Dana!! Hearing you say that makes me feel a lot better because sometimes I still think about what color I should have bough, haha! Wish you a belated happy new year! May this be a happy and fruitful year‼

Yay!! The first Hanako of 2024!! Happy New Year!! It was funny, as you were making Tamagoyaki in the steamer, I was wondering how your pan was feeling, and you were wondering the same :P I was given a pale green Le Creuset by my then-shift manager. She didn't want it (she preferred Staub), and in exchange for a couple of oven fries, she gave me the casserole and a matching serving dish. I had a shock when I saw how much they were :P A lot of interesting recipes as usual :) I saw a tip on another Japanese channel for making poached eggs. Grease some plastic wrap (would grease-proof paper work as well?) and put it in a cup or such like, crack the egg into it, make a parcel and put it in boiling water. She didn't grease the wrap, so the egg stuck. Her plastic wrap seemed thicker than what I have, so I might try baking paper to be safe :P
Hi, thhseeking!! Wish you a belated happy new year! May this be a happy and fruitful year‼ I don't wanna believe it's already February... Happy New Year Hanako! It's great to see you enjoying the new year with another video of delicious recipes. It's great that the apple trick helped with the avocado! You can also use a ripe banana or kiwi to help if you don't have any apples on hand. And that is the fluffiest omelet ever! (ʘᗩʘ’) I need to steam mine and try it. And I hope you and your husband have a great new year!

I try to always (almost always) boil an egg or two if I am making something that requires boiling water. Noodles of any sort that need boiling, I make an egg (or two, or six) first and then add the noodles when I remove the eggs. If I don't eat the eggs with the noodles (or whatever I am making), then they go into the fridge after they are cool, and I can make seasoned/marinated eggs, or egg salad, or some other thing with them. (I eat a LOT of eggs, so I usually keep between 2 and 5 dozen eggs in my fridge. I am starting to run low, I think I only have about 15 eggs left, so I will need to buy more soon.)
Hi, Anne!! Thank you for sharing your great idea with me!! I was thinking about how to use the hot water when I used the steamer, and it was very helpful!! I think there will be more side dishes with boiled eggs for bento from now on! Thank you for your great idea!!

Miffy carrying a strawberry 🍓 to cute 😍
Another delightful video. Try using a small silicone spatula to stir the eggs in the steamer, it might keep you from tearing the paper! 😉🥰
If you cut the paper smaller, and lightly oil the dish before putting the paper in, the paper will stick to the dish and make it easier to stir
Hi, bdctrux7!! Oh, silicone spatula!! You are brilliant! I'll definitely try it next time!! Thank you for the advice!!! It was a great help!!
