Excellent idea to do this test... Great job! So what's the answer? Does the cluster need to be replaced in this situation to reflect the correct reading?

Great outside the box test. Question, why do the other cars need to be running vs just having the ignition on? Won't their gauges read the running cars output regardless? I don't want to run my arm over more than one hot engine if I don't have to.

Need power and ground to the gauge, easy to have the second car running and use the input from the car inquisition.

Good video. My 997 turbo gauge is reseptive but not as I would think. My 996 turbo was responsive to but in a different way. Kinda strange but I guess thats Porsche and they all act a little temperamental. Ha. If it’s dead both ways then likely a concern. Cheers

      Thanks for checking us out!
The purpose of this video is to show how inaccurate the oil pressure gauge is compared to another. We did not feel that the instrument cluster had to be replace instead we advised the customer of the inaccurate reading. I hope that helped. Thanks
